Thats like buying a showbag with 5/200 of the lollies revealed, and u don't even know if those lollies with be functional compeditively. What a joke blizz, if you wanna start asking for me to fork over $60 already, atleast show me the goods and not expect me to go hungry for a week out of blind faith. jeez.
They're not asking you to shell out for the pre-order, they're simply providing you with the option to do so.
Presumably, this is because there are enough people that ARE prepared to pay this early for the new expansion, and so why would blizzard wait longer than necessary to make money?
(Although personally I agree that it would be unwise to buy any cards sight-unseen)

people who preorder before they have checked for quallity of the cards are pest to this game, only makes the game devs lazy
that'S why you wait until all cards have been released and preorder afterwards. Nobody's actually preordering already.
you'd be surprised, I bet thousands of people already threw their money at blizz, I know I'm gonna preorder no matter what, why wait then, especially that it's just after payday, so do it while I still can :)
Most people preorder for the amount of packs, back cards or good cards doesnt matter, new cards will be in new decks. And mostly for the card back. They dont give a f is the cards are meta defining or not...I'm among them aswell..
Cuz i have money to blow, i always pre-order anything hearthstone related. It doesnt matter if its 50 bucks or 500, im pre-ordering anyway, and with me my whole friendgroup of 12 people, we all open packs at the same time and having a blast opening all dem legendaries. So when im pre-ordering anyway, why not pre-order asap and get that sweet cardback to show for it? The only time i use another cardback than my sweet Powercore Cardback is when i get a pre-order cardback, and i switch back after everyone has it.
Anyway, if its 5 cards released or 50, for me it doesnt matter, i get the argument of "but what if the cards suck" but face it, the next meta will include those cards in it anyway, why not take part of it and suck it up.
thats the thing @DopeBro, i AM taking part and sucking it up (so to speak), but i just think its arrogant on Blizzards part to expect people to fork out $50USD for something on blind faith. the least they could do is reveal more cards before they ask for handouts

I get your point, i do, but by "blind faith" you mean basicly that i dont wait a month to see all the cards, and THAN pre-order.
The reason i dont do that is cuz i dont have to wait for all the cards, it doesnt matter, i pre-order anyway.

but they aren't making you to buy it now, you can wait until the very last day when they show all the cards and announce a date of release to pre-order, they just included it in this patch so they don't have to patch it too often cause releasing a patch for all the platforms is a proper pain in the bollocks
Card back plus 10 extra packs compared to what you normally get for the same price plus the fact this set will be around for 2 full years? Yep pre ordered regardless. Got 4k gold waiting in the stash too.
Sit down, calm down, and wait till the 17th of March. Nothing more you can do. Just focus on something different, dont wake up thinking, "THERE MIGHT BE A CARDREVEAL". Wake up thinking "What to do today.. hmmm.. Oh shit lets check hearthpwn for a cardreveal, maybe there is one :)"
Normally I would say that you are correct - if, say, Hearthstone was a brand new game.
However, it's now a couple of years old and people are heavily invested in the game - and there will always be people who will preorder regardless of how many cards are revealed. I mean - people preordered the expansions of WoW, even though they never got to to try the expansion out first.
And regardless, the preorder continues right up to release (when cards will be revealed), so as more cards are discovered, the excitement will grow and people will pre-order.

I tried having fun once. It was awful.

"Hello. Would you like to destroy some evil today?"
I used to preorder ASAP but after the state of the game since gadz. No way, Blizz has lost my trust in that regard.

Just Another Legend Player#Kappa
I played about 12 games last night and ran into 3 different people playing the new card back already.

Yes because Blizzard is like Apple, we are iZombies or BlizZombies. We buy everything without ask
I am zombie, preordered already.
...The problem is not the problem, the problem is your attitude to the problem.
