I feel like all they are going to do is a dump on the 17th for a majority of the cards... Its so much more fun when the whole month before release they give us lots of different spoilers.
This is the stupidest move by blizzard this shuts down all the hype for 2 weeks.. first there was no build up for the expansion.. gadgetzan was much more well done and well marketed this one doesn't feel exciting to me yet and it's annoying to wait so long for card reveals they could aswell just anounced it in the 17.. it's the biggest dissapointment so far...
I would prefer they not spoil any cards and let us discover when it goes live
Okay, if this were the case I wouldn't mind.
To me its either slowly release(how hearthstone has been doing it), bulk release weeks before to plan(kind of like English TCG Yugioh), or people find out when the set releases(like ocg yugioh).
but like, waiting until the 17th, releasing 50, then waiting another week or two and releasing a bunch right before the release is kinda stupid. I'd rather start being able to theorycraft or get hyped.
Slow release is at least fun and like a birthday every day. However, I really wouldn't mind just knowing 0 cards and just getting the expansion. that could be really fun too. But this "new" way feels stupid.
It would be awesome if they just give us a taster of what to expect, say 15 cards out of the 150 and let us open the pack on release day and discover the set. I would be all in for that!
You don't have to watch hs content you can just not enter the main page or card disscussion and not be spoiled it's a bad reasoning..
They probably didn't finish most cards and had to do the announcement early cuz they wanted to put the preorder in the client.. but yet they wanted to nerf stb sooner
Basically blizzard wanted to avoid patching the game twice.

That would be great. maybe not really 15 cards but something like 40 would be better. Present the mechanics, a few legendaries and the completed release the same day as the expansion goes live. We would have few days of really wild meta because no one would had time to theory-craft the deck they wanna play

I mean, that's easier said then done. I basically unpacked Karazan without looking at any cards beforehand and it was kinda meh cause it was a meh set but for full expansions.... dropping chunks of it on us at a time feels very cheap. They should at least try to make the experience fun and interesting. I originally joined hearthstone when TGT released (the day of actually) and to tell you the truth, expansions are an amazing time to grab new players interests and for many reasons. New meta, new playing field, new everything. You may be a good player, but are you a good deck builder or are you good at picking up the new dynamic? Even new players with a brain can overtake older players with decent practice.
TLDR: for blizzard not to make a better spectacle out of an expansion release is kind of silly since they garner more attention with short reveals over a month.
It's been datamined that there will be a voting schedule release from the 17th of March onwards~ There will probably be a card dump, but I feel that it'll only occur one week before the expansion releases!
It's probably just a delay because they had to address the leak in advance as well, as well as get the hype train started~
all of us Hearthpwn moderators hope so as well! >,<

So what, 2 weeks to reveal lololol. Its going to be a mad house >.>

Ei, the release on the Un'Goro Pre-orders changed it to Mid April. "Mid April" could really mean anything, it could be 1 week before May and it still is Mid April. I'm guessing the release schedule will be similar to MSG, where there's three weeks of card reveals, followed by a preview showmatch livestream featuring Frodan and someone from the Hearthstone's design team~

So release in the middle of a season..... yay.... what is this 2015 again? Otherwise it'd be May and everyone and their mother will be losing their stool

That is what I thought too. But the leak was a minor one, not that much real need to address it so early.
What I think when I see the result of the nerfs (only two cards) : they released the expansion hype train at the same time as the nerf so everyone would discussing the new cards and the expansion instead of focusing on Shamanstone and SmashYoFace warrior.
Make sense because it seems they did not want to nerf too many cards when a lot of them a going to wild in one month, but in the same time knowing that the community would release a lot of salt, tears and rage seeing that the nerf changed nothing.
Yes, not knowing the cards will MIGHT stop some people from pre-ordering, but I believe most of players doing this for the card back. Because one way or another (arena, gold, etc) you will get the new cards. After all you want to continue playing the game and keep your decks fresh with new cards. So whatever the new cars are, knowing the cards or not doesn't really matter.

What, there's no way it's not already finished. They definitely finished the set a month or two ago (they need to playtest it right?). They've said in the past they're' usually one release cycle ahead.
Oh yes, I forgot. I like the unknown and the excitement of finding out the cards with the release, not having a full deck list with new cards ready when the expansion starts. In that case, you just have to have your dust ready and craft the specific cards you want to craft and don't need to buy anything. And having dust is much more easier than having gold or real money to buy pack. So I think even for Blizzard is more profitable to not release the cards beforehand.
I actually dislike the month long slow card reveals. It made it super bad when there was only one card revealed per day and it turned out to be some unplayable shit. This way at least I know from March 17th and onward, we should be getting 3-5 cards per day.

they have finished 99% of the set. blizzard works ahead of expansions. When Wotog got released they finished making one night in karazhan, that was the reason why purify got released. Priest wasnt so bad before Wotog so they couldnt predict what cards each class needed

they don't wan to released 1-2 card per day. Because easy to get target by community when card is really bad. So called purify level card.
released 40-50 card will move attention to card discussion instead of harassing blizzard .

Justicar Trueheart in Rogue?
