Before the recent Gadgetzan expansion I didn't see a great deal of Reno decks (as opposed to all the ones people are now using to counter the Pirate Decks).
So I never got around to seeing if Beneath the Grounds was a good counter to that(and to Kazakus) Does it prevent the card/s from activating?
Has anyone tried this at all? I wasn't able to find a definitive answer - and I was thinking of trying it in my Rogue Rush Deck.
It does... but why would you want to tech that in? It's bad against every aggro matchup, and it's not like Reno decks really need Reno to win against Rogues, Reno's most consistent win condition is to eventually outboard control you with big taunts and constant board clears.

As long as your opponent has at least two copies of any card (including the Bebeath The Grounds copies) they can't activate their Reno/Kazakus. After two ambushes their cards will be live again.
I am running one copy of BtG in my miracle deck and it has done wonders. You can play it on 3 to stop Kazakus. And, you can also hold it till your Conceal turn to make sure they don't heal up beyond your lethal. I would recommend playing one copy in any Rogue deck as of right now. It just good tech with the amount of Reno on the ladder.

people are playing pirates to counter the Reno decks. you got it backwards.

Yeah, I get it isn't a great card in many areas. Just trying to consider what options are available.
For example, I've found that the anti-secret cards are starting to be much more playable now that Secret Paladin and Mage decks are on the rise. (And the Reno Mage in particular). They are still hiiiiighly situational of course, but a good bit of fun if you're not playing hardcore competitive.

Well, that's just my experience - I used to rarely come across Reno decks before. Or it's possible that I did and they were so ineffective that most of the time they didn't register.
I dunno. :-/

Yes, it prevents the one-of based cards. It's considered as a Reno counter.
If you say LUL in Twitch chat you are a moron. If you do it outside of Twitch - even more so!

Hope it helps.
