Now hear me out I'm not complaining about agro like many other people on this site, I personally have been playing Control Shaman for a while now and I've tried Midrange and Aggressive Shaman and I just don't find the same formula every game over and over being fun to play, whats your guys thoughts?
I normally don't play aggro decks but if I encounter a streak of greedy players (or the same greedy player consecutively) on ladder outvaluing whatever I happened to be playing, I would play a few games with an aggro deck and attempt to punish these guys. It feels super good when I catch one of them
I wouldn't play aggro decks for for extended periods though. Not because I think it's #*$@ cancer but because it gives me anxiety. You often need to play into board clears and other cards because it's the correct line of play. Getting punished by a card that you identified as a card that would wreck you but didn't play around because it would be not correct FeelsBadMan
Some people like being proactive. Ironically, you tend to feel more control of a match when you're the one asking the questions with an aggro rather than digging for answers with a control deck. You present the threats and feel like you're actually doing something throughout the game when you play aggro or, to some extent, midrange. That's an appealing feeling of play and one of the reasons that I'll dip my toes into aggro from time to time.
As a player who fiddles with all types of decks but skews a lot toward control and combo lists, playing aggro, midrange, control, or combo satisfies me in different ways depending on my mood and time available. It's not really like there's some alien motivation though. Some people just enjoy different styles of play and there doesn't really have to be a whole lot of nuance to that fact. It's not like there's some universal standard of what "fun" is for everyone.
Fast games and Reno infestation on ladder brings out the burn decks to punish them before t6. especially since Reno wards off natural enemies like control warrior.
I essentially play what is better against the decks I face the most.
Aggro decks are most of the time cheaper, if we take out the new pirate package with Patches the Pirate aggro decks do not depend that much on legendary cards to be efficient, so it can be a matter of budget.
Aggro decks are faster for climbing, you either win quickly or you are definitely behind and you concede once you realize that there's no way you come back, for climbing up to 10 or 5 aggro are faster, it can be a matter of efficiency.
Aggro decks consume less time, if you're on your phone and want to play a couple of games in the bus, if you have a couple of daily quests or if you're waiting for a class to begin, aggro deck is a better choice, the games take less time and can be interrupted, it can be a matter of time.
Aggro decks are fun for people who want to play a lot of different matchups, like said above, with aggro decks you play more games in 15 minutes than with a control deck, the more you play higher are the chances to face different decks, it can be a matter of variety .
Aggro decks have good winrates, for people who enjoy winning no matter what, for those who feel that it is fun to win, it can be a matter of fun.
Aggro triggers ALL the salty players who come feed hearthpwns thread, and for the sadistic players, there's nothing more satisfying than beating up those crybabies who think they are smart but get SMOrced by brainless players, it can be a job provider for salt mines.
There are a lot of reasons for players to play aggro, but the main reason is simple : it is there, why not play it ? There are people who pick bulbasaur after all, there are no reasons for people to not pick aggro.
Most though out answer ever. Kind of close the subject.
My side of the question is that people are not forced to play only aggro, only control or only mid-range
Personally I will play aggro when I know I may be interrupted (like baby is sleeping near, wife is doing something and may ask for help or i am cooking something or whatever). Playing a control deck which take 15 min to win is fine but having to conceded 1 game in 3 because I have to do something does not feel good.
Bottom line : Playing aggro gives me a windows every 3-5min to get shit done if necessary.
Rest of the time I play get which make me happy. Season 33 i played burgle rogue or pirate warrior depending my situation. this season it will be aggro shaman and reno priest.
This season im playing aggro Shaman for the first time (more or less the first aggro deck im playing seriously). For me its fun because i have to handle the overload mechanic, nice Pirate synergys and the Jade stuff. Surprisingly i have to think more then i thought about every turn. Way more fun than i had with the Pirate warrior which bored me after 5 games.
I recently realised I play aggro because it is relaxing.
It usually involves decisions whether go face or trade, but you rarely have to do big calculations and plans.
It's a light style. Even if you make mistakes or you lose, you realise it quite soon.
The only thing I hate is when my whole deck is lazily countered by a few life taps, a Hellfire and a Reno Jackson at turn 6... It is also vulnerable to taunts, but then it's ok. Fair fight.
When I have my tantrums and add those stupid bastards after the game I lost to their cancer decks you'll see what I mean. Those guys are mostly not even capable of simple conversation.
The funniest thing is always, when I don't care for ladder a season again because of people without cancer who should have:
Rank 19 lol
Coming from a rank 13 aggro player. You see what i mean? The average person is simply too stupid.

Unlike you, huh?
I never realized how low ranks people on hearthpwn are o.O, you would expect only 50% of players to be at the 13 or higher rank, but the people here certainly are pretty low. xD

Fast games..quick ladder...cheap decks...easy to play. Pretty much it.
Just because you don't find them fun doesn't mean everyone else doesnt
And I ANSWERED
granted it wasn't a well thought answer

My mandibles which are capable of pressing down and tearing, my talons which are known to intercept and hold.
I certainly don't find them fun to play as or play against, play a game to have fun.

because they're bad at the game and want to feel like they're good at the game.

They are too stupid to play other decks.
