I played mostly Hunter from when I started back in October. I since played few different decks since MSOG since I couldn't win with hunter anymore.
I'm trying to decide what's worth crafting at this point. Debating between N'Zoth, Patches & Aya.
It seems like every person I play against has all the baller legendaries.. The worst it seems (cost wise) is Renolock which is basically like playing someone in god mode and cost a million dollars with all the legendaries.. then you have the aggro decks and jade decks which all run Patches & Aya...
I started playing Shaman recently and have had fun but feel like I'm missing out not having Aya and Patches. I hate Patches though but it almost seems like I need him to have the edge in the aggro decks? And without Aya I can't play any Jadey decks? Kazakus seems interesting but the decks that run him seem to run lots of other legendaries I can't afford..
Should I craft Aya & Patches? I DO have Leeroy + Rags already. No NZoth, and no Sylvanis, no Bloodmage Thalnos, etc...
Thanks!
PS-- have opened shit loads of packs. Got 2x boogeymonster and 2x hobart grapplehammer :D
Aya & Patches are good cards to have for sure. I'm a fan of having the core cards first IE Sylvanis and Tirion etc. It's honestly whatever deck seems like you would have the most enjoyment. Good luck on your choices. Just have fun with it!
thanks man. I know I'm knew but I figured if Blizzard invested so much in the Jade mechanic, they would try their hardest to keep it as being viable for awhile?
What about Bloodmage Thalnos? It's really hard for me to justify 1600 dust just got a Kobold Geomancer with a draw mechanic. Would someone be able to explain to an ignorant noob why that draw is so great? Sincere question here... it seems that I'm only missing Bloodmage + Patches to complete the Aggro Shaman deck...
Hunter isn't really strong right now, but I 100% agree with Patches and Aya. N'Zoth is good, but it isn't a must in the meta right now. Jade Druid is godlike and Aya is a must (it's the only card I'm missing in the list!). Patches is OP and also a must in all the good Pirate decks. Depending on what you run more of, I'd use the 2x Boogeymonster and 2x Hobart for Sylvanas.
thanks. Already cashed in my boogeys and 1x Hobart. That's how I got Rags + Leeroy. So far the only useable legendary I've opened has been White Eyes and that one isn't exactly a home run... :D
I played a few wild games recently only because I go so bored of playing the exact same decks in the current meta. But I don't have any wild cards.. Would crafting a wild deck take a lot of dust at this point since I have literally none of the cards? N'Zoth really excites me but I feel like I need Aya + Patches more to compete on ladder right now...
I would say patches and Aya. Nzoth decks often require Sylvanis and other death rattle legendaries to work.
Patches opens up these decks: Pirate Warrior, Aggro Shaman, and imo aggro hunter has been overlooked and might become a thing.
Aya opens up: Jade Druid and Jade Shaman
Nzoth for you only opens up: Nzoth Buff Hunter (Its decent, not the best tho), cause ur missing shaman legendary, carne, and sylvanis
If you craft both Aya and Nzoth you might be able to find a decent jade rogue (probably expensive, not sure)
Side note: I accidently crafted a golden karakus, was reinsured by the comunity that it wasn't a bad thing (one of the best to have golden), but I haven't used it hardly at all because I refuse to play priest, I don't have new mage legendary, and am missing a card for renolock. I don't suggest karakus for you, much too limited. Unless you LOVE Reno decks.

Golden N'zoth sounds pretty legit to me.

The versatility is what makes it great. While Kobold would sit in your hand where you wouldn't need the spell damage, you can pay thalnos and cycle it while playing a card your opponent should kill (even if it's easy af XD). So let's say that over 100 games Kobold would be good 70 and useless 30, Thalnos in those other 30 games would become something else. Not to mention when you make a good use of the spelldmg AND get the draw that micro-advantage becomes bigger and more valuable. Not the flashiest but the fact that it's never useless makes it a very good card if you can make use of spelldmg EDIT: If you miss only Patches and Bloodmage for Aggro Shaman, go for them. Thalnos is an evergreen card, will always be good and in that specific deck is huge as you have many good spell dmg interactions and that deck is argueably the best atm
thanks, that explaination helps a lot! So you think Thalnos will give me the edge here.. I guess now I'm def crafting Patches and now debating if I should craft Thalnos over Aya... since Aya would open me up to other archetypes like Jade shaman and maybe even Jade druid (but missing Fandral..)
Aya Blackpaw is great, but cafting her is kind of like crafting Twin Emperor Vek'lor, in that it only fits into one specific archetype that is supported by one expansion.

For THIS season yes, however in the long run Thalnos will hold more value, because jade is unlikely to stick around after next card expansion AND eventually will be completely banned from standard. Thalnos is a standard card so it will never be phased out. It also has more use in wild, i dont know much about wild meta right now but I dont think jade makes the cut.
Another thing to think about is how often you will open new packs to old packs. You will get standard packs from arena, but will you be opening them any other time? If not then definitely take thalnos, because you are more likely to pull an Aya if your opening more of the new packs.
Warning: Thalnos will seem underwhelming on a small scale; hes not a flashy legendary, just efficient.
Another thing to add to the Patches argument, we're starting to see non aggro decks run patches + a few pirates. Rogue's typical deck, for example, doesn't go aggro at all but does run patches and a few pirates as a way to contest the early game and a way to punish super greedy decks.
Thus even if you aren't aggro built, if you play warrior/shaman/rogue then patches seems like a good pick.
Though really thalnos fits in a lot of decks and is Evergreen so I'd HIGHLY consider him as a first pick, then Patches. After that, consider Aya or another classic card.

Craft patches but wait a bit for Aya. Not sure if the meta will run jade decks after Brann rolls out

3200 dust... sounds like golden millhouse to me

It is when you finally get that 1 game out of 100 you get to play both of them haha!

Earthshock is pretty good right now...
Just an ordinary guy trying to live an extraordinary life. Oh and make decks along the way for funsies.....^_^
thalnos and patches enables a pretty strong shaman deck, but it has a limited shelf life since the rotation will ruin aggro shaman.
Personally, I would craft Edwin and patches to play rogue, but rogue had a way of disappearing from ladder 5v weeks after expansions are released.
Aya Blackpaw is great, but cafting her is kind of like crafting Twin Emperor Vek'lor, in that it only fits into one specific archetype that is supported by one expansion.
N'Zoth, the Corruptor is also great but I really wouldn't bother with him if you don't have Sylvanas Windrunner or play wild.
I'd pick Patches the Pirate out of the three.
Earthshock is pretty good right now...
I'd actually go with Slyvanas since it's neutral and classic so it will last a lifetime.
Then, you could get N'Zoth if you want to try some deathrattle decks, or Aya if you want to try Jade decks.
Quit complaining and just have fun with this game!
patches,aya,thalnos
