Which is the best? at start, it only seemed obvious that pirate warrior would be the best, and most consistent. But now many rogues and even shamans are appearing, and in this meta all three kinds are highly competitive, but which one is the dominant?
We'll have to take into consideration the burst options of each class, and the consistency of the cards drawn. I personally think that rogue might be able to beat warrior, because not only it has burst and fuel with card draw, but it also has board clears like fan of knives which could really turn the game around. And shaman on the other hand, has Feral Spirit which could stop burst and easily win against both warriors and rogues. So out of these three Pirate variations, which is the best class to play the deck in your opinion and why?
Pirate warrior feast on midrange decks. Loose against faster decks. Rogue kills PW and Shaman eats them both. Shaman eats everything exept control decks (its a aggro deck "dhoo") like CW and CP. Dragon Priest is very favored against it to bec. the hero power and ways to kill the minions without using own super value minions
Shaman has the upperhand in this matchup - due to the best 1/2 mana aggro minions in the game, coupled with the pirate synergy. Huge factor is also maelstorm because it clears all the small early game tokens.
Pirate Rogue is just miracle rogue with buccaneer, swashburglar, and patches. The deck is very strong and many streamers (like yagut, ryzen, and reckful) are using it to climb to high legend ranks, and it's working.
I think Shaman is the most all-round even in its Pirate Aggro version. It has better tools that turn out to be good both for defence and offence.
But I also think these Pirate Aggro decks are a bit inflated. Their meta dominance will decrease as soon as players find and play consistent control decks, Dragon Priest being just the most famous and evident option (basically because it is just a revamped deck).
PIrate Shaman seems to be the one taking over at rank 5+ meta right now. It's so much faster and so much more resilient to the opposing deck's healing than Pirate Warrior/Pirate Rogue it's not even funny. Being able to fling a bunch of burn spells at your opponent's face and ignoring their big mid-game taunts is huge.
Whats nonsense is him acting like fan of knives is the only board clear. My point was merely highlighting the fact that in pirate decks board clears are mostly if not entirely irrelevant, because warrior has a ton of them and as you pointed out runs none of them.
Pirate miracle is awesome. Patches makes that deck so consistent by not only helping control the board early, but also thinking the deck out to get the tools necessary to get that huge rogue burst on turn 7/8.
Warrior can't get past taunts, shaman is just mid-range shaman with pirates instead of drakes and valiants, aka scumbag central. I tried both, and they are OK, but once people start teaching for these, then rogue is left on the brink of tier 0.
Miracle pirate is definitely the best right now at legend. But it also much closer to a typical miracle deck than pirate shaman is to midrange. In fact most pirate shaman decks are aggro and have few if any mid range elements at all.

Well Prep, FoK, Coin, Edwin on T2 makes a huge tempo swing as it clears the early Pirates therefore avoiding the snowball effect (weapon buff synergies and such) so I believe that it still makes a difference plus avoid to dagger up in order to clear them. But I get your idea tho even if the board clear that you mentionned also take care of your early 1health minions for the Warrior but you're right they obviously don't run them.

The chances of you have those three cards and coin on turn one are rather small a thus incredibly inconsistent. Aggro is all about consistency and unbearable pressure. Your hypothetical only satisfies one of those requirements and the only reason FoK works in miracle pirate is because the deck is much more miracle than pirate... Its not aggro at all. Really it should just stop being called a pirate deck all together because it's clearly causing a lot of confusion.

As far as we talk only about those 3 decks : sham > rogue > war
If you are thinking in the current meta : war > sham > rogue
There is no cancer deck in hearthstone ! You are the Cancer !

Pirate Rogue isn't even the same archetype as the other two, it's just Miracle with better early game...
Shaman is superior to Warrior though.
"Board clears like fan of knives"
Are you... Serious?
whirlwind and revenge and ravaging ghoul and brawl..
Etc.
