I gave it a 4/5. I have played many, many ccg's/tcg's including Magic the Gathering and Star Wars Decipher, and from all that experience, the game is very solid. Its very simple with only 2 card types to work with. Being a virtual game, it gives randomization a whole new perspective that could not be accomplished from physical cards. Also, by being a digital game, the player does not need to know as much of the rules as we can make the play and "see what happens". The big negative for me is not being able to communicate to the opponent during your match, but I know that's there to prevent salty conversations.
The Reason for giving 4/5 is not because of the meta or feeling underwhelmed by the cards at our disposal. It's because I feel after 3 years there should be more than Constructed, Arena, and Tavern Brawl. What I've truly been craving for this game for awhile now is some kind of dedicated story (or something more in depth than the adventures), new classes, and more game modes such as 2v2 and something similar to EDH for MtG. Those things would all take a lot of work to implement, but it would give players a greater variety of things to do and I ultimately believe the people playing would spend more time each day on Hearthstone as well as bring more players to it.
Just imagine an expansion/adventure where the cards released were all Death Knight and Monk class cards (to catch them up to the rest of the classes).
Your written ratings are self serving. Based on your 5/5 no game could ever receive that rating. Ever because every game has problems or things that could be better.
This survey begs for low ratings. If anyone wants to see a true out of 5 rating just go to the Google store
4.4/5 after almost 1.2m votes.
If you play hearthstone over other games and give less than a 4/5 you should probably just stop playing video games cause they are not your thing. Thats even being subjective.
