I highly believe we need a glossary for all these terms used when discussing hearthstone. the reason I believe this is because of the new card Zombie Chow. people are mixing up what certain terms mean and thus have misunderstood what others have been talking about. here are some terms I feel need clarification.
Deck types.
Control - a deck that focuses on keeping the opponent's board clear, usually focuses on winning in the mid to late game.
Agro - a deck that focuses on dealing damage to the opponent quickly and thus finishes the game as quickly as possible.usually values dealing damage to the opponent's hero than to the opponent's minions.
Zoo - a deck that tries to flood their side of the board with minions to overwhelm the opponent
miracle - a deck that is heavily on doing massive damage in 1 turn through the use of a heavy combo
thats really all I can think of at the moment, but feel free to continue to add more to the list. and im sure this will help the community communicate much better and have a better understanding one another
Keeping the board clear isn't a thing only for control. In fact, ramp druid is considered a control deck but it has very little board clear (wrath is single target, swipe barely does the job until turn 6/9 when you can get spellpower to go with it). It merely controls the state of the game so that it can win with large minions or late game cards. Freeze Mage is too control, but it doesn't clear the board, it just freezes it most of the time.
Aggro is whatever relies on playing low cost minions to mantain board presence and finish the game before it gets late.
Zoo isn't an archetype. It's a warlock deck, the same way as Handlock is a warlock deck or token druid is a druid deck.
Miracle is a combo deck, yes, but it often has more than just one heavy combo (there's miracle mage although it doesn't work all that well, and there's miracle warrior with lots of combos with worgen and warsong commander or just molten charge, even miracle rogue has van cleef and assassins blade which itself is a win condition).
There also rush decks and Midrange. I can elaborate on how they play if you would like to hear.
Why did you guys have to respond to an ancient post haha?
Because i had the idea of a glossary as well and was thinking of making a post. Since this got relevant again, i thought it is better to bring it up here than to make a new thread.
Seeing Miracle was just a shock. Plus the guy that actually revived it did so with a throwaway comment. No problem with it, just an observation. Having a glossary would be cool. I'm personally dreaming of some sort of scenario creator where you could dictate exact board, hands, and draws to test stuff and see how it works. That and better AI and new deck-types to play against in solo adventures.

What does "combo wombo" mean?

Yeah, i would like a glossary as well. Also struggle with some terms from time to time.
