I see "cancer" being thrown around a lot more than in previous metas, but I don't really know what decks they're referring to. Anyone wanna help me out? :3
Agro brainless decks that blizzard makes too powerful and nobody can play control fun decks because of it.
Then why did people always call patron cancer then I wonder. It was a slow combo deck that was really tough to play.
Cancer decks are literally just decks that people think are too good. They use the term cancer because it's their way of saying that the deck is ruining the game. It's used a little too liberally these days, but if you see it you'll know what they mean.
These decks were also called cancer. Curvestone is just play the biggest minion in your hand and go face. Make skilled topdecks go face and win games because the cards are too powerfull to be stopped by board clears and other counter play.
People call stuff cancer generally when they feel powerless against the deck they are facing and lose in a frustrating fashion. The decks are also seen as less skillful to play. That's why the best face deck will always be cancer, and in this case its pirate warrior. I generally categorize it into three types of cancer decks: only face decks (ex. Hunter) , play good minions on curve until you win decks (ex. secret paladin/mid shaman), or stall until combo decks (ex. miracle/freeze).
However, cancer doesn't necessarily mean a deck is good, it just means it is frustrating. Two out of the 3 biggest new archetypes happen to be very frustrating to lose to (jade druid combo face warrior) leading to salt. The deck being good does make things worse however, as people see it more often and lose to it more often.
I do agree that jade druid is cancer for a different reason however, because a lot of them are designed to have a 90% win rate against control and sub 40% against aggro, which isn't very beneficial for control players... Once the deck becomes more optimized for general laddering it will likely weaken against control, and control will improve making the matchup possible.
I've seen a lot of people complain about Jade Druid because it beats control...so basically you're pissed because something hard counters your deck. Did you ever think maybe this was on purpose? I've always found control warrior to be a really obnoxious deck type with the best way to beat it being really fast decks. After playing one I could see why people play it. You just sit there AND DESTROY WHATEVER IS DROPPED. Honestly it's kinda boring, and now they've created a slow deck to combat control decks. I'm glad Jade druid is breaking up that monotony a little. But let's face it, Jade druid gets destroyed really hard by any kind of aggro deck because it's so freaking slow. It's not a cancer deck like midrange shaman, it's just a hard counter deck.
Aggro decks- finishes you off by turn 6 (face hunter or any face deck, new pirate warrior) and OTK decks- deals plus 30 damage from an empty board ( miracle decks, old patron warrior, freeze mage)
i think you can add jade druid to the list since it kills the control archetype since it beats them all RIP control decks 2014-2014-2015-2016 (2015 and 2016 overkill)
I don't think there are any cancer decks right now. Jade Druid got countered pretty hard by aggro pirate warrior, so that's the flavor of the day deck right now. If no counters to pirate warrior are found then that might be the cancer deck, actually, but there are going to be counters found so it's not a big deal. Jade Shaman already comes to mind in that regard.
I see Cancer decks as anything that is exceptionally common and completely obnoxious to play against. Original Patron Warrior is the best example. Pre-MSG Midrange Shaman is a decent example. Jade Druid would be if it was still as popular as it was on day one.

Reno decks
Any and every Tier 0~1 deck. Even ones that are hard to play. (see patron)
Alternatively, any and every deck that I lose to.
People who refuses to play aggro out of principle are even worse than people who play exclusively aggro.
One should seek to become a complete player and play all archetypes, including ones that he despises for whatever irrational reasons.
So basically every deck that's wins before turn 10
The deck that I just lost to. Kappa
Every deck is a cancer deck if I'm currently playing against it.

jade druid suck again other deck except control warrior. no idea why complain
maybe they only know use aggro deck. Reno deck or mid range deck need more skill compare to aggro cancer smorc

The only cancer in Hearthstone is its community.
Not anyone, except for those face hunters and midrange shaman who exploit the new expansion .
Personally, I experience several types of cancerdecks:
1. Decks that win by rushing your face down (example: pirate warrior, face hunter)
2. Decks that win by vomiting their hand, and playing a lot of small minions basically (example: zoolock, aggro paladin)
3. Decks that are not remotely fun or interactive to play against (example: freeze mage, anyfin paladin)
4. Decks that are straight up broken in comparison to their skill floor (example: midrange shaman, secret paladin)
Edit: After reminding myself of the Barnes Y'Shaarj decks, I had to add:
5. Decks that are very RNG-dependent
