Sometimes I found the HS community waaay worse than the RNG.
It's not THAT difficult to be friendly or even polite, i find those rage requests are so upsetting. Someone only added me to complain that I played slow (I was using a bad wifi) and called me a sick f**k . Others just throw a bag of insults and unfriend

Yesterday while wasting my last few hours before ladder reset I queue into a shaman that does nothing but emote the whole game. I'm playing freeze mage but he teched eater of secrets, and damn nearly won, but ultimately I found lethal before he could. Instantly he adds me and naturally I accept. He writes "funny". I totally agree, it was a funny game, so I just say "Yeah :)". What happened next caught me off guard. First I thought he was attempting to make me feel bad by saying "I'm in the hospital". While I'm writing something like "Best of luck to you then" he follows up with "Both your parents have cancer and will die in 3 days". He instantly removes me, sadly. Never will he know how hard he made me laugh; The worst BM'ing salty shaman I've seen, roping, emoting, the whole stereotype. I even sent a friend request back but he hasn't accepted. Feels bad man.
It's people with the cancer references that erk me the most. There's no humor in that whatsoever
I had one guy friend me after a close Arena game that I won (with a terrible Paladin deck) his first comment? "Fuck you and your Alright Plays, bitch. You got licky. Die in a hole"
Cheers mate. I'm not sure what I was licking though...😂
Edit: I don't mind the personal insults, but the Cancer thing pisses me off no end. I'm a specialist Nurse that cares for kids with Cancer so......
People going to give themselves bad mojo with all the Big C talk
I just Priest-Yogg'ed the snot out of a tempo mage kid. I brought myself back from 1-3hp so many times. It was such a hilarious game that I for once accepted the friend request. And as always it was crammed up with "rape your mother" kind of threats. I just "LUL get rekt" a bit at him and removed.
As a student of human behavior it really interests me why people do this to such an extent, and if there is some kind of common denominator to those that do. I mean, it's always the same. Do they learn from each other? Is this just standard procedure for a certain triggered group of people? Someone should conduct a study.
I was playing a Casino mage deck full of random bullshit in casual just for laughs, and by chance actually bumped into another guy who was playing full on casino mage (bombers and all) too.
Added to friends, we both laughed hysterically at all the insane shit that happened and been friends ever since.

We should find a new term to replace the horrible "Cancer deck" thing. I just don't get why would you use cancer as an insult

Interesting, please send me if you find anything about that

I got 2 friend requests during my 12 win double Mal ganis arena deck . The other one said that an idiot will win with my deck, the other one said "wow that seems like a fun deck to play".
I then got 80g quest "play a friend" I asked the rude enemy for a duel and he accepted. I didnt pick a deck an unfriended him. And soon after the nice person got the 80g. :)
Once i played a guy whose name was famyliar to me (streamer or deckbuilder or something, don't remember his name) and he was top 100 and i was maybe 600-700 playing face hunter. I won and he added me and said: you f**** idiot, can you just let people be productive with this game?" i was shocked because to be top 100 at that time ment that you have to face much worse ( secret pally and combo druid) things than face hunter to rage that much

I used to get a lot of these when I played control warrior back before Naxx. A lot less now though. They always bring a bit of joy to my heart.
My favorite is when people tell me how bad my deck is after losing to me... Like yes, I know it is gimmicky, but you lost so...

Strangely, the last 5 or so friend requests i got were without using "de puta madre" and other butthurt words.

I very, very rarely get these requests anymore. Used to happen all the time. I'd assumed people had kinda quit doing that.
