I am a relatively new player, only been playing for 5 months or so, and I have a relatively ok druid c'thun deck and am saving up gold, is it better to wait and get MSoG packs or spend my gold via the Arena (I don't do well in it btw, only 1-3 wins at most) or spend it on WoS packs so I can make my C'thun deck better? Also I'm a f2p player and have every adventure completed. Do I save up my gold MSoG? I have looked at the set and yes, some of the cards look amazing, but some don't, and I'm just not sure I'm entirely sold on how good the cards are in it as I have ass for a majority of the class cards for the classes that are being buffed. Like as in it takes 5+ unranked games for me to complete a quest for using 15 combo cards. I have that terrible of cards for nearly every class that's not Druid, and even then I don't have a single copy of living roots.
Also side note for the Arena, yes, I have used things like arena helper, and my win rate is still suck.
If you're able to get 50 gold (Possible from 3 wins and up), Arena is more efficient to buy Msg packs with. So I would suggest to play Arena.
You must make the decision for yourself if you want to continue to develop the Druid. Still having fun with it? Then buy Whisper packs. If not, don't. Actually, you might just want to continue getting the MSG packs and craft the still needed C'thun cards..
First and foremost: Do not stress out that your collection sucks. That's just how it's going to be for a while.
Do not spend gold on Arena quite yet -- if you're not getting four or more wins, you are throwing gold away. Wait until you have a better grasp of the game and can make it a little farther, at least occasionally. (Unless you really like Arena, in which case you should do what you enjoy!)
There's no need to rush to get the new cards until you have fleshed out your Classic collection. When you get to the point where you can look at the good decks on this site and build most of them without making substitutions for any Classic cards, you'll know you're ready to move ahead with expansion cards.
For now, your best bet is to avoid Casual, as ironic as that sounds. You should play low on the Ranked ladder (as close to 20 as possible), where you will often meet people with similarly weak collections. (I realize Casual has MMR, but I don't think it works that well.)
And last but not least, try to get quests that don't require you to win. If they give you one, just throw it back. If you get another, don't try to complete it; wait a day and throw it back then.

The thing is I do have a decently solid understanding of the game, and I really like the advice you gave, it really helps. Also I'm already rank 17 so that helps at least. You telling me my collection is just going to suck is EXACTLY the kind of advice and things I need told to me, thank you, it actually helps a LOT.
When I play free 2 play I think it is better to focus on getting one deck at a time semi-viable. Though as a new player you might not know where that line is.
For C'Thun Druid. Dark Arakkoa x2, and Twin Emperor Vek'Lor are probably the two key cards in the deck. Don't ever expect amazing results though the deck is ok-ish, pros can hit legend but it mostly just tempos out so there isn't a lot of room for skill to take you places.
Jade Idol Druid is prolly going to take all the Jade Idol cards so don't even bother that will take a long time to get running on f2p
You should ABSOLUTELY build a Zoo Warlock. Strong af and cheap af. (You do not need any of the legendaries included in Zoo lists. Brann is optional, and Leeroy vs Doomguard is personal preference, Sea Giants are also optional.) Also you can use these common cards until you get good ones. Flame Juggler for Knife Juggler. Bilefin Tidefunter. Argent Horserider. Mayyyyybe Spawn of N'Zoth. Get your Defender of Argus quick though.
Buff Paladin/Hunter might be cheap and strong too we will have to wait and see how that shakes out.
Well ill tell u something ! just wait a bit if u arent in a hurry like 1 week keep collecting gold !after that decks are going to be made by pros and then it will be decided what is the tier 1 deck tier 2 ect !and i guess u can craft a tier 1 deck or atleast most of it if u havesome gold and some good cards to dust ! just craft a good deck keep playing it that gonna help u get more wins and more gold ofc ! btw cthun druid isnt that good
Also the problem with me running zoolock...is that I still have ass for cards for zoolock, aka no defender of argus, one abusive sargeant, and generally crap for cards.

Sorry if you don't like my answer, but the honest truth is that the f2p life is very hard for a very long time, no matter what you do.
You absolutely cannot expect to have a decent collection in less than a year if you aren't willing to pay up.
And sorry to add insult to injury, but if you can't get more than three wins in Arena, where the playing field is absolutely level, your understanding of the game may not be as solid as you seem to think. Not trying to be mean here, just providing a reality check. Three wins puts you in the 65th percentile, close to where you are at rank 17 on ladder. You shouldn't expect to get much higher.

I did not mean for my post to sound sarcastic, I actually really appreciate bluntness, and you were, I really appreciate it.
I think the next expansion coming out in spring(not MSoG) will be the first of a new cycle(so that expansion will be around in standard format the longest in that cycle). So if I were a player just starting out or a f2p with limited resources, I would probably save up until then. Not stress too much about this expansion coming out tomorrow since MSoG will be the shortest lived expansion in standard play for this cycle.
I could be wrong about this as well, maybe others can confirm this as fact or not about how the standard cycle format will be working.

Could you msg me some streams or short videos I could watch to help me? Like 3-10 minutes long?
As for MSG I want people's opinions as to whether getting super random ass cards for MSG would be helpful as a new player with shite for cards.
