I'm gonna build a Jade Ramp Druid and Aggro Pirate Warrior. I might doodla a bit around with a highlander Mage deck (Kabal/Reno) if I get nice drops from packs, but that's generally it.
I wouldn't cry that much though, I've checked the forums about C'Thun and WotOG and ppl cried around as much as they do now.
C'thun can be answered, how do you counter an infinite supply of 10+/10+ minions during endgame?
End the game before the endgame.
So either play aggro or midrange. What if I like to play Control? What if I like to see my Elyse/Monkey effect go off? What if I like to play slow Dragon Pala to summon a bunch of dragons? What if I like to have fun instead to smorc face and win by turn 6?
Guess "fuck me" is the answer.
With an addendum of "fuck you" to Team5.
And "fuck me" as well, as I really wanted to grind the hell out of C'Thun Control Warr in it's last days before Justicar Trueheart rotates out. :(

End the game before the endgame. I just think it's to early to say Jade Druid is the new Shaman with a deck that's unbeatable. I'll make one myself and check it out, but the deck WILL be slow, and you'll either pop Jade Golems out of weak spells/weak minions, overpriced btw, and lose tempo all the time, or try to gain tempo and react to what's going on board. With this, you'll either buff golems consistently, but lose hard before you can get them into meaingful shape (probably around the time you'll be able to play Aya Blackpaw), as you'll be getting a lot of face damage, coming from aggro or miracle decks. On the other hand, you're going to play a standard Ramp Druid without most of the tools you usually have and little Jade Golem buffs.
I won't argue that it seems Control Warrior will die, as Jade Druid will compete in that field. Apart from that deck, I wouldn't be that scared - the Druid will have to cast 10 Jade Golem cards to get a 10/10. 10 cards! So either he plays on curve and slaps crap value on the board most of the time, or ramps like crazy in order to late game flood the board. Either way, aggro wins.
Just more conformation that Team 5 members need to be laid off, this is gonna be the most unbalanced and joke of a meta to date. Hopefully the backlash and game fails so hard because of this that Blizzard will have a forced hand to bring in new people that actually know what there doing. These guys have zero grasp on balance and seem to have no interest on getting Hearthstone in a balanced state, they just keep making ridiculous crap and load certain classes with broken abilities to give them the spotlight.
you realize ever since closed beta this game was immune to dying for being a bad game, that wont change now. blizzard and the warcraft brand are so big that they could literally make a set with only 9 good cards(1 for each class) and there would still be millions of players playing. think about the shitty ass metas this game has had, its still alive. lets not think another shit meta is going to put a dent in their game.
So i know I know that the meta hasnt even come about yet, but i am fearful that Jade Golem Druid will become a problem for other midranged and control decks to handle. I think There will be less Aggro now because Alot more AOE spells have been introduced into the set and i think it will make decks like Zoo pretty poor at best. So the best AOE that will be around is DragonFire potion and brawl. The problem isnt the first time you clear the board, its the 2nd time. once you are facing a 6/6, 7/7 and etc it will become harder and harder to kill a board. The one thing that annoys me is that Blizzard didnt give us any cards that can counter this mechanic from snowballing out of control. I think if Blizzard made it so that the Golems could be Silenced to a 1/1 Stat line that would of been more balanced and interactive.
Guys if you think that you will beat jade druid with aggro or combo you are dead wrong. The only jade card druid needs it's Jade Idol that's it.Then you can fill the rest of the deck with anti aggro tools(like THEE END IS COOOMING) and anti otk tools(like that armor up card).Druids decimate freeze mage so why would any other combo deck fare any better?
The only possible counters are super effiecient midrange and tempo decks like midshaman and dragon warrior or a greedier jade deck lol.
So blizzard killed almost all the archetypes with one card lol!
Exactly this, you can virtually play any deck you want and just add jade idol and it's automatically a better deck.
To look on the bright side, they have been getting a little quicker with the nerfs when they realize they've unleashed a massive problem.
And on the other bright side, I will be spending only gold, not cash, on this expansion. If it truly is terrible, I simply won't play except to get rank 20 for cardbacks.

Remember back in April when people claimed that C'Thun decks will be everywhere and every class will run them? Or how 4 mana 7/7 was the most broken card ever? Looked how that turned out. (And no, Flamewreathed Faceless wasn't the most broken thing ever, especially not compared to tunnel trogg or thing from below.)

People who refuses to play aggro out of principle are even worse than people who play exclusively aggro.
One should seek to become a complete player and play all archetypes, including ones that he despises for whatever irrational reasons.

Still pretty broken though. Just because one card is insane doesn't mean that a slightly less insane card still isn't... insane.

If you are referring to Flamewreathed faceless, vicious syndicate data suggests otherwise. It is very good in some matchups, but not insane overall, and not good enough for the midrange shaman list nowadays. I feel jade idol won't even be at that level, to be honest.

Why does everyone keep thinking Jade Idol is broken??? Does anyone not realize that if you choose to shuffle it back in your deck you just lost a card draw?? Its better late game cause yea 1 mana huge minion but at the same time its only gonna work if you draw it like crazy! Chances are its gonna come super late game and Druid removal is one of the worst in the game.
Not to mention *HOW DOES THIS HELP IF YOUR LOSING* Answer = It doesn't.
So you are here trying to draw out your Starfall so you can keep yourself from dying and guess what you got? One of your one billion Jade Idols. Great job.
Sometimes something that seems really good on paper really isn't as broken as it appears to be...

And sometimes posts that try to sound all smart are really just very dumb. Of course you don't play this card the moment you draw it filling your deck with Jade Idols, rather you keep for when both players are close to fatigue with only a few cards left. Then you do the x3, starting to spam huge minions the turn afterwards and winning simply by attrition. How does this help if you're losing? The fuck does that matter? Not all cards have to be designed to come back from losing.
This card is really good on paper and in reality, assuming you're not a drooling brainless player who shuffles three copies on turn 1.

What you are saying is, you are going to run a card that is completely dead for the first 25 turns of the game, and won't necessary win you the game after that. With that way of playing, by the time you play your 3rd jade golem, I would have played my 3rd C'Thun. I much rather put Elise, or heck, Malchezaar into my deck.
A full on jade druid might very well work, but putting 1 jade idol as a "tech" against control is ridiculous.

Yeah Iv'e been playing against this card today and I can tell you this is prolly the slowest card Druid got. You think you can spam? I want to see you even try to play a Jade Idol near Fatigue before you get Aggro'd down.
It seems like Aya can do the job better and faster, and although she is a legendary, might fit situationally better than Jade Idol for Golem Druid
You can stay defending a card that only helps in control match-ups, which, by the looks of it, are fading faster with each passing second.
Better yet, how can even spam this card? It doesn't draw a card when you play it. You can't just ignore it until the end of the game either because once you draw it thats it. If you want more cards you better start drawing some yourself and even holding on the original Jade Idol without shuffling it still is a card draw loss.
Unless you're playing Miracle Druid and can spam Auctioneer and Innervate at the end of the game you are gonna have a tough time flooding the board with golems, so good luck and stop trying to convince me this overrated card is meta defining.
I've no clue what I'm doing...
I really hate the Freeze Mage archetype but it seems to be the most likely answer to the upcoming jadestone meta.
English isn't my first language, so please excuse any mistakes.
Hmm...Jade, Auctioneer, Faceless Shambler...better kill 'em quick.

It's not good for Midrange Shaman because the deck itself is already beyond broken, which tells a lot.
