With Mean Streets of Gadgetzan less than 2 weeks away its time to start thinking about how you will buy packs. Have you been hoarding gold like a dragon, planning to just use your card, or maybe you already have enough dust for all of the new cards. Share what you plan to do and feel free to brag about your dust or gold piles.
Playing arena mostly since I'm infinite (although I'm going to buy some packs with gold during the launch). I'm saving most of my gold for next year's first expansion, since it will be in Standard much more time than MSG.
I'll probably spend like 2000 gold on packs initially, then play a few rounds of arena to see how that goes and if it goes poorly spend the rest on packs (I have 3600 gold right now)
I was going to do the Amazon coins deal to preorder an expansion for the first time ever but I don't qualify so just gold for me
I am holding out to see if we get ANYTHING for the preorder (except for the discounted price) with Old Gods it was the same 50 pack for $50 deal but you got cardback with preorder. If there isn't any extra coolness I will just use my saved up gold
After 5 months of playing, and bought Karazhan, BRM, LOE, pre-ordered the Gadgetzan packs with cash.
hopefully this will be the last time to pay with real money for an expansion. (Will probably purchase further adventures with cash.)
I would love to just pay with gold, but for me the time invested I would rather pay to get cards now, for a game I enjoy and have invested in, as I also don't have the time every day to keep farming gold.
Still have a ways to go with my entire collection in terms of legendaries, but super excited for tthis expansion, I think the variety of decks that will change in the next meta will be better than Kara.
will continue with hopefully one arena run a week too.
Using money to buy 50 for $50, then buying the rest with Gold. I'm one of those people that buys a pack as soon as I hit 100 Gold though, so I don't have any saved up.
Honestly I'm missing enough cards from each set to justify buying any of them though.

There is no preorder bonus and there won't be. This was confirmed weeks ago.
I'll be combining the pre-order and buying with gold.
I'm at a loss, however, and maybe someone could advise me. I will have saved 4.000 gold by the time the expansion hits. I want to spend a portion of that gold on arenas and a portion on arenas, but I'm not sure about the proportion.
Initially I thought I'd split it 50-50, but on one hand: I know I can get a good return on playing arena as I average 5-6 wins. While on the other - it's time consuming and I'd probably only be able to play 2 arenas a day (maybe some more during the weekend after the release). I would also want to have a big enough collection to complete a couple of new meta-decks (I'm brewing a new Renolock and i think Dragon Priest will become viable).
Maybe someone could persuade me whether or not I should go all in into the arena?
Arena is where its at.. I'll maybe buy a few packs with gold, but then Ill just do arena runs.. its the best value as long as you aren't garbage.. I have enough dust saved up to craft a couple decks to get started in constructed.. then past that its all arena.. If you can average 4-5 wins, you're getting awesome value.. and if you average more than that you basically play arena for free.. Free packs all day long
I'll use my gold to buy whole card packs I need in an expansion since there is no regional prices via in game shop this time. Normally I would pay for the expansion to not only claim extra 10 packs and a cardback but also support the developers.
Ingame gold only for me as always. As my classic collection is nearing completion (not counting useless leggies) I am saving up since buying the adventure with ingame gold only as well. I currently can get 32 packs. In addition, I could summon up 10k+ dust to craft whatever remains and I feel I cannot live without.

Battle doesn't need a purpose; the battle is its own purpose. You don't ask why a plague spreads or a field burns. Don't ask why I fight.
I will run arena until my gold runs out (which can take a while since I don't play a lot). After few weeks, when the meta settles, I will start building standard decks, probably crafting 1-2 best legendaries in the process. When I have 3-4 meta decks I'll probably switch to buying packs with gold, unless my arena result are very good.

Same as always, pre order, then I arena for a week, see how the meta is,make the deck.
I kinda think this poll should have multiple options.
Personally, I've already pre-ordered it as my "designated purchase" for this expansion, and plan to get the rest with gold.

with almost 17,000 gold on hand. Most certainly I won't be spending any money for this
I am primarily an arena player anyway so I plan to just arena it up. Excited for these cards in arena.
Why am I sticky?
