Better matchmaking, based on cards held, etc. (NEW)
Guilds / Clans
A new tournament mode
More in-game help with deck design (NEW)
A new mode to be able to play "doubles" with friends
To play offline (NEW)
Blizzard asked what people would pay for:
I wanted to put this into a deeper community thought:
More customization of characters, cards, etc.
A campaign mode (NEW)
- if this unlocked the demon hunter, monk, and the death knight, combined with a campaign mode possibly with some card back and secondary hero unlocks for each class id pay for it or the ability to get some heroes with different hero powers. Make them in game earnable for say 10,000 gold each or unlock for $9.99 CAN/Eq american id pay that for each one. Makes them obtainable without but the amount of work to get one without paying significant enough that it is impactful and takes up alot of peoples time.
You could mix this with an offline mode and it would be worth it to pay for the feature.
A new tournament mode
More in-game help with deck design (NEW)
A new mode to be able to play "doubles" with friends
- This would be worth it if there were prizes and you paid to enter certain tournaments for prizes but it was also available for the community for free with a feature that allowed people to play tournaments for fun as well. With various rule sets. Combine this with a couple of other features like an offline way to test decks in hearthstone in a tournament setup method it would be worth it to do so. If it was like a 1 time 20.00 feature or so with it always being available. The regular pay tournaments could be discluded from this and put at blizzards discrection i think that having a tournament mode would actually bolster the community on a whole and make it more viable for players.
Guilds / Clans
More Chat Features
- value of 5.00 could be placed on starting cost for a clan adding features to it possibly combining this feature with the touranment feature to allow clans and guilds to hold in house touranments for an additional 5.00 would also be a reasonable price for a feature. That the guild or clan leader has to pay for with a limitation on clan size to say 30.00 + 5.00 for every additional 10 members they want to add.
Overall i think some of these features are worth the actual effort there are other things id pay for not included like additional deck slots to say get up to 3-9 pages of decks. id pay 5.00 per page to add more decks myself thats the value id put on it.
Things id pay for would have to have a non essential option to it so the game still remains free to play unless the feature is cosmetic. Alternate card art things could also be cool bonus buy features. Like a ragnaros that is on fire all the time as a unique card art adjustment that is worth money as its a cool asthetic. Flaming Ragnaros 29.99 does same thing as regular ragnaros golden legendary accept art is different and minion on board burns. Play mat like boards for your side of the field could also be a cool purchase option for like 10.00 or something similar.
A trade card option would also be ok for value to be able to do it like where you could trade cards instead of dusting them and you pay a fee for it of like 10.00 for the feature would be worth it as well.
I would like to get some community thoughts from other people that were not lucky enough to get a survey to give there opinions on it.
Like most of the stuff they are saying is ok to pay for it but it depends on how they plan to impliment it is my thoughts on the situation some features or things you have to have an alternate option.
The idea is it should take you a month to unlock a new class 10,000 is just an example or you pay and you speed unlock it. that doesnt make it pay to win. because you can still unlock it for no cost and them giving us 18 deck slots is reasonable enough allowing for say 27-81 deck slots paying 5.00 per extra page is a reasonable option as it does not affect you playing the game it effects you rebuilding decks. They are basically saying is it worth it for us to make extra features are we going to make enough money to be worth creating content for people because if its not worth it for them to make content like that why would they designed a game to make money off it giving everything for free is not a viable option its a free game giving faster access to content for paying is part of the game. 9.99 for a class is reasonable most games charge similar cost for content. Most tcgs / ccgs your paying 5.00 a pack or more with no gaurentee of ever getting what your looking for them adding features that honestly I bought the alternate character art as well for medivh i would have for tyrande and aleria as well but not paying 75.00 for Tyrande. 5.00, 10.00, 20.00 on items is in reasonable range for anyone and it encourages them to make content people are asking for. considering some things like 2v2 would takes hundreds of hours of design modification. Same thing with adding additional classes requires much larger ui changes or for alternate hero powers on primary classes. stuff like that they are not going to want to create huge content for nothing. Most people if they buy cards or alternate card art they purchase 1 maybe 2 items and only about 10% of the community prolly does it half the community doesnt even have the adventures purchased. So the content isnt released fast enough same time i think 100 gold cap in a day is kind of low as well. If someone wants to play 50 games to get gold for cards then let them or arena/matches for cards and gold shouldnt have a cap. Time vs farming is what your paying for and asthetics / extras its reasonable for them to want money for that. But thats my opinion wuld you work for free probably not thats the thing you have to think about with them making extra stuff for nothing.
paying to have shit loads extra content to keep ya busy and content from being stable besides collecting more gold cards isn't that bad. Most games now are pay to save farming time.
I don't think you understand why locking a new class behind any sort of paywall would be a terrible idea. If that class had a meta-defining deck - say on the level of Midrange Shaman or previously Undertaker Hunter - then people who did not have access to that class would be at a massive disadvantage when attempting to ladder. It would cause massive resentment in the community towards Blizzard, there is no possible upside that could counter this downside for Blizzard.
This is one of the main reasons that releasing a new class for the game is something that is far, far more trouble than its worth (apart from payment issues, there's also: the ever increasing number of cards you'd need to add for them; the question of how you would even get cards for the class; the balance issues that come with not only making a class that isn't broken in a vacuum, but also when played against 9 other classes, etc.).
As for the rest of what you said, I can agree with a lot of the things you said about being willing to pay for things, but I think your pricing is a little high for my tastes. But that's a matter of opinion.
Which features would improve the game?
