I think you shouldn't be able to 'craft' old card backs, because this way you can show that you're playing since early seasons, if we could craft card backs the only way you can still do that is with golden promo cards.
I don't have the card back you got from season 1, I'd like to have it, but I think it is good that I can't get it.
I think real $ is the only thing that would be fair honestly. Getting "free" cardbacks remains then a strong incentive to play a little ranked each month, when it would become mostly forgettable if you could dust or gold it up.
I like the idea of unlocking a random one that you don't have if you reach rank 20 in both and wild and standard during the season. The idea that ties them to joining at a certain time seems silly to me, especially such a short time like a month. As a player since beta, the only months I missed were months I was in the hospital, so I am missing some myself.
The monthly ones are fine. The annoying ones are thing like the back that requires you to own a Samsung Galaxy Note 6/7 mobile phone. Why does that even exist :(?

Personally I dont think old season card backs should be obtainable.
I have no issue being able to get old pre release card backs, or for them to just make exclusive card backs being availible for purchasewith money or gold, or crafting.
Where's the "you shouldn't be able to get them" option? They're a reward for playing the game at specific times. If you didn't play the game, why should you still be able to get it?

Blizzard said that old card backs will return eventually, this option is completely irrelevant.
I just feel like you shouldn't be able to get them. If you wanted them, you should've been playing at that point. If you missed it, too bad. In a way, it does add a tiny bit of skill to the game. You could pay attention to your opponent's card back and, if it's an older one, be able to take a somewhat reasonable guess as to what their collection is like, and whether or not they'd be playing a more expensive deck. You'd also be able to trick your opponent by using specific card backs to make them think you have specific cards. While I do doubt many, if any, do this, it is a possible way to know more about your opponent. Remember, a lot of the time, whoever knows more about the opposing player gets an advantage. But, like I said, I doubt anyone would be willing to take the time to really do all these mind games.

Yeah well, I just don't like this mentality and have no interest in discussing this further, since as I said, Blizzard decided that old card backs returning would be a good thing. And it is, indeed, a good thing, no matter what you personally think about it. It will make more players happy, and it won't make anyone unhappy. If it makes you unhappy that you lose your cosmetic "advantage" over random unknown players, because you can't fell special anymore, or because you can't show me anymore that you're a veteran with your black temple card back (because I care so much and wet my pants when I see old card backs right) there's something extremely wrong going on with your life and it isn't Blizzard's job to fix mental sickness. I have all the card backs btw. Sorry if this sound offending, i'm not native english, not trying to insult you.
I personally don't feel any advantage in card backs, I just had mentioned a possible advantage to them. Funnily enough I don't think I even have the Black Temple card back (can't even really remember too well which one that is). I took a break for around a year or so so I don't have too many of the card backs. I just feel as though it is nice to have something that is possible to be missed that basically doesn't affect the game. I don't care about completing the card backs or anything, so they could add them in, it's just my opinion you know.

Some of us are missing the monthly cardsbacks from the times we did not play.
Blizzard is thinking the way to allow us to get these cardbacks.
How about crafting them for dust? Is this idea OK for you? And how much dust should be a cardback? (I made a poll)

It'll be great idea if we could get old card backs :D. Just hope its dust we can use not money.

Like someone say before, cardback have to stay what it is

Making monthly card backs craftable completely negates the purpose of giving them away.
"This guy either played in season 1 ... or spent x amount of dust."
should not be sold for anything, but obv blizz will sell them for $ one day. ppl will buy them, easy money
I trade all of them for a pack if possible...

100g because that would make many of the long time players extremely salty.
3200, it is fair.

shouldn't be buyable or craftable

What does it matter? There are only 3 significant backs and anyone has ,at least, the chance to obtain:
Dalaran Flame
Golden Celebration
Legend
I consider Legacy of the Void to be the best looking card back in the game.
Free to try and find a game, dealing cards for sorrow, cards for pain.
The only cardback I would buy is the one that looks like candy: Love Is in the Air. I only missed it by a couple of months and I think it's so purty.
Old cardbacks should never be available again. they show how old to the game you are.
i've only started in may 2015 and missed the coolest cardbacks, and still doesnt think its fair to the oldest players
Also, they would not be any special anymore if they still could be obtainable
