Yea all my hopes of a beta in June were ruined when they said they were going to add all those features soon. I highly doubt they'll launch the beta without those features implemented.
Yeah don't think they will. I'm beginning to doubt my 11th of july guess is anywhere close now, tbh. I'm starting to think first wave of beta won't be here before August now.

Blizzard never announces stuff that's just an idea in their heads. The fact that they are talking about these changes means they're likely all pretty much done in their development builds already. That's not to say they won't expand on this or change their minds completely or something later on, but for now they likely have an implementation working that they are happy with.
They would still need to run at least some amount of QA/testing on the changes before a beta could begin, but the info from the blog is probably at least a week or so old at this point so QA could have already begun. A beta next week wouldn't be impossible and the week after shouldn't be any problem if that's what they are aiming for.
Realistically, they could basically start the beta any time they want. They clearly have a working version of the game internally, so it's just a matter of when they decide they need to ramp up their pool of testers to help find additional bugs and start to stress the servers that will support the game come release.
What you say is more than likely true, so a beta in June doesn't seem THAT impossible. Although I still believe it is unlikely.
I don't necessarily think those features they announced in cooking in the hearth are totally complete since they stated that it was "upcoming content". However knowing Blizzard it wouldn't totally surprise if these features have been done for some time and their just labeling it "upcoming content".
The "upcoming content" term is an amusing one, as we actually have no content at all so far, since we don't have access to the game.
The whole thing is rather strange, to be honest. We're talking about this Knife Juggler infinite combo, most cards, a lot of chatter about balance and stuff - But we don't have access to any form of the game yet.
I personally think they do have a date set in stone. Those replies simply stating "Summer." every time someone asks makes me think it's going to be in a few weeks at most. I also sometimes wonder if fansites such as Hearthpwn are in fact better informed than we think. The whole Emote release thing was pretty speedy, one emote after the other. If there was any fear of the beta date being August of September, wouldn't it have been a little wiser to dilute appetizers such as these?
There are quite a lot of pll playing the game on cockatrice, It doesn't fill the hole but it's something. We've been trying out the cards as they change or add them so news like these are more apriciated. The combo was actually played with for a like week before it was removed. And I agree about the site it's awsome and they find so many wonderful things about the game. Though I think they got all those emotes and soundtracks at the same time but shared them piece by piece to satisfy us on a daily basis.
I wouldn't necessarily automatically assume that the Hearthstone beta will be launched on a Tuesday. Lets look at some of the recent betas Blizzard has released, and what days they were released on.
Heart of the Swarm Beta- Tuesday September 4th, 2012
Wings of Liberty Beta- Wednesday February 17th, 2010
Mists of Pandaria Beta- Wednesday March 21st, 2012
WoW Cataclysm Beta- Wednesday June 30th, 2010
Wrath of the Lich King Beta- Thursday July 17th, 2008
Diablo 3 Beta- Tuesday September 20th, 2011
Only 2 of those 6 betas started on a Tuesday. Now while Blizzard liked to release WoW content on Tuesdays, I don't really believe that the beta HAS to come on a Tuesday. However based on these past dates I would expect the beta to be released in the middle of a week and not during a weekend.
Yes, if its going to be this week it will probably be during the middle of the week, and not during the weekend. Although as much as I hope it is this week, Blizzard did say that the beta would come in the summer and summer hasn't even started yet.
Well not officallly:P The "official" start of Summer in the US is June 21. Since the US is where I live and where the Blizzard HQ is that was the date i was using as the "official" start of Summer. However many people are already out on summer vacation and many people believe Memorial Day to be the unofficial start of summer. It all depends on how you look at. I was just saying that some people in the US might not consider it Summer yet.
Eh I don't know about a beta in July. As someone pointed out they've probably already had a functioning game in friends and family alpha for about 2 months now. For a game in alpha it looks absolutely beautiful! Considering they already have a solid matchmaking (as shown in the livestream) and friends and family alpha testing has probably been going on already, I'd guess beta by next week or the very beginning of week after that. Like someone said it all depends when they feel they need more testers, and depends on when they want to stress their servers
I have my last final on 1st of July so I'm hoping that week. 1st of July is also my birthday so I'm hoping it will be a good birthday gift from the universe :D

Yea I think you're correct on the fact that there done with these features. If you look in the bottom left corner of the most recent fireside duel (Rouge vs Druid) you can see a little icon that resembles something like a friends list button, but if you look at all the older ones there is no such button in the bottom left hand corner. So I imagine if the friends list feature is implemented, then all the other ones are probably finished with the other newly announced features.
My first assumption is that "This Summer" means on or around June 21st. However seeing as that is a Friday, it may not be until the week after. I would then assume that the employee's would like to enjoy their 4th of July, so I would expect them to want to get it out before the 1st.
That leaves the week of June 24th the "goldilocks zone" for release, assuming it's an Early summer release. Otherwise, it wouldn't be until the middle of July, like the 17th since its dead center on the calendar.
It's ok, you're going to have to hope you haven't smited the rng gods in order to be playing on day one anyways. I'm going to assume they'll be starting off with a pretty small amount of players at first and moving on to stress testing later on much like all of their other betas.
I'd start making sacrifices to them now.
Also, I'm making another prediction - July 10th. Looks like second week of June didn't work out as planned, so it's time to get a little more risky.

haha you're right :D I really hope to get into beta I might die if I don't. I got into hots beta by pre-purchasing the digital collectors eddition. I hope they do something like that at least for people unlucky to get chosen into the closed beta.

I hope they don't do that I don't want to wait two weeks till I play beta. And btw your avatar is so disturbing I can't stop laughing :D
