Huntertaker was rough, but if you had your removal for their Undertakers it was winnable. Patron was one where you could do everything right, and still die to double Frothing. A perfect Patron player was near unbeatable.
We are forgetting original Miracle Rogue too I think. Deck was crazy.
I honestly think that deck did not deserve a nerf. I would like that deck to be around today, it had something special to it: Just like freeze mage, it puts you on a timer. And if you can beat the timer you win. Also, unlike freeze mage, which uses spells to burst you down, miracle rogue uses a minion (Leeroy Jenkins), which means you can also stop the combo with Taunts.

Patron was hard to beat but also hard to master. Undertaker hunter was a joke.
So the meta isn't that bad in terms of agrro-ness since almost no one voted Aggro Shaman?
I vote Purify Priest. Better Totem Golem and 4 mana 7/7? OPOP
Anyone who aren't choosing Undertaker Hunter either didn't play at that time, or they played the deck and liked the half minut games....
Undertaker Hunter, no doubt about that.
Just from the actual matches I've played....
Pirate Warrior. I think I'm in the neighborhood of 1-25 or something absurd. Deck just stomps the royal azz out of me.
Galavant Animation
Miracle rogue was in it's time the strongest deck, but nowaday even if leeroy wasn't nerfed it would have been not as good anymore. I think:
Patron Warrior
Undertaker Hunter
Miracle Rogue
The aggro mage you're probably referring to wasn't just pre-gvg.
It was back in closed beta when pyroblast cost 8 mana.
Combo hunter deck back when unleash was +2 atk and charge to your minions. It was the reason for the unleash rework.
Well played grim patron for sure.
