Hearthpwn

Before I begin I would like to point out the following was done as an experiment and not in a way to cheat the system or exploit the game in any way shape or form. I am unaware of blizzards thoughts on this process. The information below is strickly for information purposes.

So recently there was a thread on The Hearthstone reddit. In there was a claim that a person could unlock wings ahead of launch, but not play them. So I thought I would look into this. I was able to purchase the Military quarter on the NA region. I also noticed I was able to purchase the next wing as well due to the way this works.

Step 1. Open Hearthstone and log in.

Step 2. Open up the time and date setting, note only tested on a pc with win 7.

Step 3. Adjust the date to a future date, in general 3 weeks from today.

Step 4. Return to Hearthstone and open up solo adventure.

Step 5. Purchase the next wing.

Step 6. Once authorization clears, normally 10 seconds, close out back to main screen.

Step 7. Reopen the solo adventure and click the key to unlock the wing. You now, if you have the gold, will be able to purchase the next wing.

Now I have only done this to open the military quarter on the NA server as I had 720 gold, but if had the gold I would have done it.

Below is proof of opening You will notice none of the bosses are showing as the wing has not been launched, just bought.

After I reset my date back to the right date this is what my screen looked like.

yeah well it was either spend 20 on naxx or take the women out to the fair and make her happy. I choose correctly.
