As far as I know, these bot makers have yet to implement a way to react to emotes though most people tend to ignore them anyways. I chat a lot in game, congratulating my opponent when they make a good move, saying sorry when RNG doesnt favor them etc. There are ways to communicate and make for a better gaming experience for all parties involve, bot just doesnt respond at all.
That's not a great way to tell because some players squelch the emotes immediately when the match starts. I always squelch now out of habit because I got tired of some smart asses spamming the threats, etc.
When I see some people saying they face bots 1 game out of 5, I laugh hard. I don't think I ever faced a bot ... and all the rationalization I saw are pure bullsh*t really. The worst is that according to most standards of what is a bot behavior, I'm a bot ... and believe me I'm real (I know a bot would say that, but really dude, I'm human). If you just check interaction you can have with a player and his play/misplay, you have no way to know if it's a bot. And just for me please, explain me how someone can make a good bot program if blizzard is not able to do decent AI ?
Maybe the best thing to do is admitting you can loose and stop chasing chimera.
Have you actually read any of the posts here? Or watched a video of a bot playing? I mean, it's not really hard to find one on youtube. If you play like that, you are indeed a bot, especially if you can somehow disable game functions like targeting arrow and card highlighting. Or time your plays at exactly 5 seconds each.
To answer your question, the AI Blizz put in is bad by design. They want it to make mistakes, so players are able to beat it.

Actually it might not be an full actual AI either now that I think more about it. It might just be a "Best Move Analyzer" of sort: you input what cards is in play now and what you got, and it calculate the best response for you. That type of cheating might be more likely, its not hard to have another program that do calculation of best possible outcome of damage base on yr current cards/threats you have to deal with while an actual person then follow the instruction given after it finish analyzing your best choice.
Of course they can still go full bots too but as I said, that will have more complexity sometime: Just look at how many botters in other mmos game got tricked into looping in a stupid manner.
-They gather all the cards 24/7 so quickly they can make better deck than you.
-Your golden hero that you took so long to get, doesn't have any value anymore since they can get it for all 9 heroes while sleeping
-They are getting better and better very quickly, so, eventually, they will quickly become better than most players, but particularly those who don't have all the cards since those bots do....
-I have plenty of games I can play against AI already. I'm playing Hearthstone to play against human, not AI again. If I want to play a card game against AI, there's already tons of free ones for that.
So, lets assume EVERYONE here now agreed with what you said and that it is TRUE.
What do you suggest is the next thing we should all do:)?

Either you're in denial or your rank is so low you've never had to go up against any bots. They are real, there are websites dedicated to their use, and they are painfully obvious when playing against them. No, a regular player would never play like these bots. Players highlight cards and minions often when making plays. Players have random pauses and moments of actions, not the irritating consistent 3 second interval between every single action including attacking face. Just because you've never experienced them doesn't mean they don't exist.
it's actually somewhat troubling that bots do so well
sure they're stuck at rank 5-3 for now, but that's still better than most players even if they could play all day like bots do. they'll easily get legend by the middle of the season.
it actually highlights how skill-less hearthstone is :(

I don't really know how stuff like this works, but can't Blizzard get the website shut down for hacking (well not really hacking, but you know what I mean) their product?
I love how people say they are 100% certain about some bots. Unless you are in the actual home of the other player watching them, you cannot unequivocally say you are 100% certain. So now people are gonna send off lists of players to Blizzard for these witch hunts which may very well get honest players in trouble. The pettiness of gamers is amazing.
That is what a bot looks like. Or should I say, USED to look like. Now it's the same thing, except a flash of red over the minion that is attacking to simulate that there is a player behind the wheel. Still no target arrow, still a delay.
Someone else who is just being ignorant of the issue haha...
It's the way the bots play. It is so painfully slow for no reason at all with the same exact number of seconds between EACH AND EVERY PLAY. Not just most of the plays or some of the plays. It takes 3 seconds to play Flame imp, 3 seconds to play Coin, 3 seconds to play another flame imp, and another 3 seconds to end turn. There's no reason for this. It's ridiculous and it just hurts the game. Any human zoo player knows for a fact they're going to do that the moment their turn starts, doing all of those clicks within about 2 seconds.
Over 6+ turns, that adds up a lot, especially taking into consideration the time you need to think to systematically keep a zoo board clear.

I've seen more Druid and Shaman bots than anything at my current rank (5.) The druids tend to do some strange things such as always choosing the charge version of druid of the claw which real players rarely do outside of specific situations. Innervate is rarely used correctly, turn 2 innervate swipe face is a common occurrence to kill my 1 drop. More than anything I'm just surprised they made it to rank 5.
EDIT AFAIK they sold 14 million D3 copies (before it was available on playstation) and people are estimating that about 4-7 million of the accounts were bots.
I'm pretty sure there's not enough crack in the world that you could think 4-7 million D3 copies were sold to botters, even if you smoked all of it.
considering the original boom of RMAH? it wouldnt surprise me...
I've read hearthcrawler bot forum. Its funny people are so butthurt that they cant climb legend botting because of hunters. Now i know why there are so many 'nerf hunters' threads.

Yes, that's why there's nerf hunter threads. Totally not any other reason, right?

If they have even just a 50.1% win rate, they can still climb ranks way faster, since they can play 24/7 without a break.

I merged a few of the Bot threads because we didn't need multiple ones.
:D just got added by someone insulting me that im using a bot because i dont usually hover over my cards before i thought about what i would play out
people calm the fuck down and wait for the banwave
Yes, we're at the "pitchforks and flaming brands" stage now. :)
People were routinely accused of being bots in WoW, when they were just farming mats. Seems the same thing's happening here - no suprise.
Blizzard, banwave, please. Zoo and bots are strong allies and will end up runing the game for many players.
