Mill/fatigue is fun, but sadly not good at the moment.
Control takes the vote.

Betrayer... In truth, it was I who was betrayed. Still, I am hunted. Still, I am hated. Now, my blind eyes see what others cannot: that sometimes the hand of fate must be forced! Now go forth... unleash the tides of Doom... Upon all those...who would oppose us.
Control, because it feels good to play and win with a deck that isn't merely a copy paste of every aggro deck, and because it feels like my decisions and planning affect the outcome of the game (vs midrange/aggro decks which FEEL like they win simply because the cards are good), and because why have 30 cards in your deck if you're only going to play 6 to 10 of them?

Life before death. Strength before weakness. Journey before destination.
I like aggro decks, but now i playing control, tempo and freeze mage, but i have high lose against paladins decks, and warrior, but control decks you can turns many games, the secret is play card in certain moments and not use some cards.
What do you know, a poll on hearthpwn that proves that this community prefers control decks. Color me shocked... Its like the people on this site have never played a 30 minute control vs control match before.
Archetypes refer to the gameplanning as in 'when am I strongest', combo refers to synergestic cards and that's not an archetype.
Examples of combo decks in different archetype categories:
Aggro shaman, utalizing spells and a generally quite bad weapon unless combo'd with Rockbiter Weapon and cards like Tunnel Trogg benefits from sudden surges of power, not consistent and efficent damage which for an aggro deck is the key thing to look at.
Midrange Mage (tempo is not a deckbuilding archetype, its a line of play - you can make tempo plays but you can't build a tempo deck because if that's the case where's the Sylvanas Windrunner and Cairne Bloodhoof in the mage decks? Where are the dragon synergy cards, etc.) using Flamewaker. The card itself is bad when not using alot of spells with it and it also means that mage would usually play cards like Mirror Image, a card that an aggro deck would NEVER run since it doesn't benefit them due to the lack of damage. But it is synergestic with mage spells which is an overarching theme making mage the easiest class to play some form of combo deck in... other than aggro since it lack the efficent damage sources.
ANY OTK-deck which is a subgenre of control decks. Anyfin Can Happen is a classic example of a combo card that uses the entire deck to function well but to support the card and victory condition you need to control the board. This is why its a late-game control archetype deck as opposed to an archetype which doesn't exists on its own.
Basically you can see it like this... the subgenre is often a win condition of some kind, Handlock is a control deck arguably a midrange deck skewed towards the later stages of the midgame, at least it can be designed as such. But ramp druid is a lategame-control deck, freeze mage is a late-game control deck and so on and so on. The archetype determains the type of support cards you want; in an aggro deck you look to efficent damage, midrange you look to stats and at late-game control you look at efficent clearing tools. None of these are win conditions unless you design a PURE deck. The only good competitive deck that has been a 'pure' archetype deck in Hearthstone to date has been facehunter. It lacks any capabilities to function in any other aspect than to kill your opponent, delaying the game is just done so you kill your opponent slower and its all about time management trying to be as explosive as you can at the start. This is Hearthstone's one and ONLY pure-archetype deck that has seen any competitive play.
(Oh and as a final noteworthy mention... equally as much as you can't create a tempo deck as its a line of play, you can't create a control deck either. This is because 'control' refers to you using resources to control the board. And since we have the early decks, mid-game decks in the name for the archetypes... the reason why one states the last one as 'control decks' is because 'late-game control' is quite obnoxiously longer.)
You must be a lot of fun at parties.

Mid-range. I hate greedy decks and mid-range punishes that trash.
Combo, they are the most fun to me and decks like Miracle Rogue and Worgen OTK are pretty good on ladder too.
Why isn't there face hunter on the list?
You guys are a cool bunch, the majority voting control.
It's a shame Blizzard hates thoughtful games of Hearthstone.
I like midrange because easy
kappa
Zoo decks, usually Rogue and Warrior ones. iI takes some sklil to play it properly, but games are quick and swift.
Everyone is beautiful; it only depends to who is looking and how many dioptres that person uses...
Aggro and combo decks are really fun to play imo
Of fucking course control decks are favorites. The decks you actually getting some feelings when you outplayed opponent.
"Infinite" doen't mean "big" - it can be small and have no end.
No Face ?
Ramp? Freeze?

The classic tier: Reno Jackson | Elise Starseeker | Brann Bronzebeard.

Join me at Out of Cards!
I voted for Aggro but my vote actually means I like any archetype that I win with.

Midrange for me, it's the kind I play the most, however my favourite deck ever was Malylock (rip), which is a combo one.
Earlier, my favourite deck was Midrange Paladin, then Control Priest. Now Control Priest sits on top.
I like facing everything except Midrange Shaman, Murloc Paladin and especially Midrange Hunter.

Everything but midrange, which is just so formulaic. Aggro for fast ladder, control or combo when I'm playing for fun and not under a time constraint.
