EVERY TIME Blizzard create even 1 undesirable card, amongst tens which are, in fact, desirable, the oh so grateful hearthpwn community always focus on that 1 card, or that 1 class, that got the short stick.
Guys, this is an RNG based card game, there are things called METAS. Just a few months ago shaman was considered the worst, and everyone complain about it. And as soon as something else pops up (priest), people only complain about that.
So in short, I'd just like to tell Blizzard: Thank you. Thank you for making this great game which I highly enjoy. And if there's inevitably a class that receives the short end of the stick from time to time, instead of complaining, I choose to applaud to you for how you handled previous such events, and am confident that you'll do the same in the future, instead of being a pessimist, that will only focus on the current meta and how bad it is. Thank you.
I'd just like to also mention that in no way do I think it's in any way wrong to complain about the situation. It's people's right! I'm just giving another perspective, that's all.
Not just Hearthpwn's community but most of the playerbase of HS are just whiners. I commend you for starting this thread. Respect.
No it isn't, you just never see the players who aren't whining because they spend their free time actually enjoying the game instead of whining about it online.
all classes are equally great, they are all fun, who cares about the meta play something fun and enjoy yourself instead of raging. This is advice to all humans in all aspects of life actually. have fun. I guess I am not a good representative of the hearthpwn community, or humans though. I am someone who believes both that all life is meaningless and horrible and there is no point to any of it and also that life is a beutiful thing that is worht caring for a nd protecting and enjoying. These are two world views that ae actually quite compatible if you just accept that nothing makes sense and move on, what I am saying is, why should you care if other people are raging about soemthing, ignore them if it upsets you and let them figure out for themselves what they wanna do about it.
Did this sound like a rant if so sorry, I did not mean to rant I just ramble on about whatever I am speaking about and when typing it goes on longer than words because nobody is standing awkwardly in front of me on the internet and I type slower than I think.
Reading this I do agree with you. This is a great game that I love. Thank you Blizzard for making this game.
As a side note, reading your post, I saw the word rng, and a thought popped into my head. Get ready to put on your tinfoil hats everyone. What if, to decide what cards each class gets, they use a random number generator.
I would like to also chime in and agree with the fact that most of the community (the portion that thoroughly enjoys this awesome game) remain silent and let those few complainers speak on behalf of everyone, which they do falsely. Me and my friends 110% enjoy this game and it is what gets us through the long and boring parts of school (I mean like lunch, before and after school, nothing important bc we are all in AP classes). Well done Blizzard, I've been a fan since I beat the tutorial!
i think most of the whining recently is b/c priest is bad is standard due to lack of good... most thing, actually, and after people wanting better cards for it them printing a garbage one and some okay ones kinda pissed people off, especially b/c warrior got a huge boost with karazhan, even while it's arguably the best class in the game.
reinforcement to the strong and nothing given to the weak pisses people off.

The best way to solve problems is to create more problems until you are dead
I will tell you what's the problem, it's bigger than a game, it's a problem in the human nature and I will explain why.
People that are not affected by bad events like: death, murder, war ...etc will never see what is the problem with people that keep talking about that stuff, because they never experienced it themselves.
Same goes for Hearthstone, because your favourite class/ or fav cards are in a good spot, you will not care about what other people expressing untill you end up in the same spot as they are. You will find them "whiny" and "negative" because you don't really understand their frustration.

Well, I try not to seem whiny or negative whenever I post, and I've been focusing on both Priest and Rogue. At the moment they're all but my favorite classes, because I only ever play other classes to complete dailies.
I don't want to be "that guy", but I don't feel what you're saying in this post is exactly fair. First of all, people who enjoy this game aren't different people than your "whiners". Everyone who plays this game and is on hearthpwn clearly enjoys this game, and I personally don't hate Ben Brode and I appreciate the hard work he's put into this for the sake of this community. The only part of the community I have an issue with, however, is the part that complains about other's complaints, in order to give them some false sense of moral high ground. People shouldn't be ridiculed for their opinions on a card game, regardless of how salty and loud they might be, and I think it's annoying how people feel the need to dismiss all complaints as "whining" without even considering the irony of that statement. Complaining about complaining isn't constructive, and I hate how people seem to applaud it. There are problems with this adventure and as a consumer I think its fair to complain about it. We are all addicted to this game, for better or for worse, and when new content arrives it affects us. All I ask is that you please consider that "whiners" have a legitimate argument, even if you don't agree with it, that doesn't say anything about our enjoyment of this game or our opinion of the developers. Please don't mistake your not complaining of the game at the moment as any indication of your respect for the game either. Thank you.

Everyone expresses their feelings differently, thats for sure. I am a priest main for two years and I try to be as positive as possible even though that my fav class never had a good treatment this whole time,. You can't be positive forever though, thats not possible especially when the devs answer to your concerns is this Purify .
The point still remains, people that are not affected by bad events will not understand the feeling of people expressing their "negative" feelings about it. I encourage making more positive threads in this forum, but you shouldn't link them to other events that are frustrating people because you don't really know how they feel.
This is how Team 5 looks at this card, anyway. I'm not sure. Maybe Silence Priest is a deck, maybe it isn't. It's almost definitely not control, though.
Perfect balance between the nine classes is nigh impossible. I understand that. But I don't think it's unreasonable for every class to have at least one top tier deck concept for laddering, and another that can be used reliably in tournaments.
When Mike Donais was asked about the dismal state of the Priest class he replied with "Is there a problem?" And when we hoped for some helpful cards in Karazhan we received Purify. Even though Ben thought that Priest got "some really good cards".
Yes, I enjoy the game and I will still play it (although not as much as I used to). But many of us have an emotional (and financial) investment in the game and Blizzard's recent statements and the subpar Karazhan cards feel like a sucker punch to the face. It hurts.

I never questioned other player's liking to the game. But if there's anything history taught us is that the hearthstone team does listen to us. You need to remember that they're planning every adventure and expansion months before it releases, so realistically, this requires them to foretell metas that will unfold months from when cards are released, which is just impossible. This means that unstable metas are, as you said, inevitable. But we can be sure that just like shaman, priest will get its deserved buff as soon as realistically possible, we just need to be patient, and not "scream" right after an expansion releases. In other words, let's all stop being pessimistic and start enjoying what we have in our hands. :)
What people don't understand is that Blizzard work on cards months before their release. So when they thought about the cards for Karazhan, it was back when people said shaman is the worst class. This means that for them to know that priest will become the worst class they had to foretell it, without the new cards' release, months and months prior.
So just be patient. If there's anything history taught us is that Blizzard DO listen to us. Only blind people say that Blizzard is deaf and never listen to community complaints and feedback.
Undertaker, Starving Bazzard, shaman, just to name a few. So as I explained above, we just need to be patient.

1. It's not based on RNG. It has some RNG but way less than most people think. 2. Not a single card was "buffed" in the game and they don't intend to do it. 3. Priest was weak and got a bad card, what would you expect? Thanks? 4. This kind of "problem" isn't from hearthpwn community but from every single card game community. 5. The main problem here is that we will pay real bucks to get an insufficient card (and yes, we will pay knowing this, because there are good and desirable cards)
Yes, most of all is just qq, but people qq about everything and this point they are at least correct. Better complain about a bad card than complain about RNG.

i thought of the same thing.
as a joke. it costs a card and is very difficult to find both early enough that it matters.

I believe that Karazhan is aimed at a very young age group.
