So I was at rank 8 playing midrange hunter, dropped to rank 10. Switched to tempo mage, dropped to rank 13. Now I don't even know why I cant win.
My winrate is probably 30 percent with an almost meta deck, I'm just missing 2 arcane blasts.
Do the arcane blasts make a difference? And I know how to play the deck. I look up tutorials and gameplay with it. Their wins look so easy, their opponents hardly play minions and have a bad hand while they draw Mana Wyrm into coin Mirror Image. When I play I never get Mana Wyrm and if I do it's always when I go first so my opponent Fiery War Axe's it or Wrath's it. My last opponent topdecked both of his call of the wilds on turn 8 and turn 9. I removed them both and then he topdecked lethal with Kill Command.
Is it luck? Is it that I'm missing blast? Or do I just suck at the game?
I go through spurts like this as well where no matter what I do, I can't win very often. I usually just stop playing for the rest of the day, or even a few days and usually when I come back I find that my win rate is much much higher.
Arcane blast is one of mage's highest value removal spells. Insane value, especially with multiple buff creatures in play. I wouldn't even attempt playing tempo mage without 2 in the deck.
Tempo mage is hard to play correctly because you have to know when to go all in on face. It's not necessarily like other tempo decks where board control is absolutely required, you have so much burst from hand especially if playing with torches.
Keep practicing, and try to play with decks you most encounter as well to learn their weaknesses from inside.
Play wild if you are struggling in standard. That's what happens with me, when I play any deck I don't get any 1 or 2 turn cards whereas my opponent always have them.
I used tempo Mage to get to rank 5 the last 2 seasons but I stopped using it this season because it has seriously dropped pretty low in this meta this month. This is proven by the latest Vs data report showing tempo Mage with mostly unfavorable match ups in the current ever changing meta.

It's been like a week though, I don't play Ranked all day. Before I could easily push to rank 8, now I'm dropping towards rank 14.

Ok, Ill craft them as soon as I get the dust.

did you just say "Tempo Mage is hard to play"?
My advice is if you are on a losing streak just take a break. The meta always changes depending on time of day. Never tilt.
