Not that the general release date of the next adventure was a big secret, but I noticed after the Morgl patch the Halfhill card back now says it's the reward for November. I'm also gonna assume October will most likely be Hallow's End themed again. So the next 2 months we can expect to see next Adventure related stuff I imagine.
My crazy theory: What if Halfhill was meant to be (and still is meant to be) the card back for the next adventure and they decided to swap places with the next adventure and expansion for some reason. So we would get an expansion somewhere mid-August-September and adventure in mid-November-December or something.
I was really expecting a release in August, but then I got very concerned with Gamescom timing (or whatever event it is that Blizzard are confirmed to be attending). Event takes place 17 - 26 of August (if I recall correctly) and if Blizzard were just to make an announcement there - that'd mean we get a release September earliest - which is a bit too delayed if you ask me.
Unless they make a LoE type of announcement, of course - that I'll be fine. As long as it happens 17-ish and not towards the very end of August that is.
So yeah, I'd prefer for them to just make an announcement this month and start pushing out content early-mid August, but I can't stop but feel that they might delay themselves up until event to drop big news, which implies an additional couple of weeks delay.

One of my friends also thinks we will get another expansion this summer then an adventure end of year. It's possible the expansion will be released without a month of advanced hype.
I don't even have any interest in playing until new cards are released. The shift to standard has rotated out too many cards without bringing enough new ones in. Options are too limited. Desperate for new content. Release something. Anything. As soon as possible.
Yeah, it almost has to be released some time in August. Otherwise, it's hard to see how they'd get the adventure out and an expansion out before year's end.
My guess for the date is... August 26th. No real reason for the guess, but I just want to have something down in writing so I have a chance of looking like a prophet.

I don't see any expansion being released without hype -- first of all, advertising is a strong point of Blizzard compared to many other companies. Second, you can't release an expansion out of the blue and still get cash flow from preorders, which is kind of a giant incentive.

Not against the idea that we're due for a new expansion, and I do get concerned about the number of cardwe currently have, but just curious: why not run wild? I'm hearing a lot of folks who seem to find of the issues you are having resolved by going there it seems. Myself I plan to once I finish playing with the current set of decks I'm running.
Sidenote for all, one thin gthat can help is that this WILL be the lowest amount of cards we'll have in Standard period, as we have 2 expansions and 2 adventures.
After that, if we stick to 2 expansions and an adventure, then a standard sessions at spring will have 3 expansions and 1 adventure (Old Gods, Summer adventure, Winter expansion, Spring expansion).
To compare, Old Gods left us with about 545 cards in standard. Next year we'll have about 635 cards at the lowest point in Standard in spring, and about 790 at the end of the year.

My favorite part is how Blizzard always throws out bullshit estimates every single year for all of their games and then never come close to meeting them like WoW and Hearthstone content releases for example. They said they wanted to have 2 expansions and 2 adventures per year, then out of the gate were 2months behind on first expansion and this one ain't looking good either...Honestly we should be getting this adventure in 2 weeks, but instead will be months away am sure then they will squeeze a release in final 2 weeks of the year to hit 3 it's just bull crap.

They said 2 expansions and 1 adventure per year, not 2 expansions and 2 adventures.
The longer the better. My wallet can't handle any more releases for games I like right now.
Then again it would mean stupid Grim Patron would rotate out. That card triggers PTSD in me and its still good.
I believe card rotations happen at the end of the calendar year, not when a new set comes out (if I remember correctly)
More precisely, when the first expansion of the calendar year comes out. So BRM won't leave standard until probably April 2017, and at the same time than, not before, TGT and LoE.
November would be way too far away. Game would almost die until then lol. I believe somwhere August-Early September. Maybe there will be NEW content November-December. But the next adventure is definitely sooner.

Maybe it is hafhill, but they just put it in november as a place marker, and it's really the adventure next month.

Didn't they say we have to be curious because they will launch *something* this Saturday on a Fireside Gathering?
One does not simply walk into Mordor,
unless they want to be the best they can be.
