Since this isn't in the rage thread, I'll reply with this:
Go ahead then and prove it. Get to top 100 without any skill and with that aggro shaman deck. Come back to us.
Folks who have tend to say that the game has a skill ceiling. A low one compared to startcraft and MTG, but a ceiling non-the-less.
Those that haven't tried or failed tend to say it's NO skill. Lots of Monday Morning Quarterbacks who 'could do it better' out there. You know, if they really cared to try.
There is specific skill level in Hearthstone that ANYONE can learn in 4-6 months. Everything else is topdecking (drawing right cards at right time) and rng. I know, it's sad truth of Hearthstone..

Unfortunately I don't have the time to grind to legend with a brainless deck. I think all you need to have to get to legend with a brainless deck is much free time. And if I would have spare time, I will not try to reach legend with a deck 9/10 of the ranked population plays. This game is so fucking cool but alas it's so toxic and not so well designed.
I just spectated a friend who first played Eternal Sentinel and then Lightning Bolt, which costed him a game. Since you can do misplays, there must be skill needed.
If aggro shaman is so easy, why don't you play it to legend? Don't make up some stupid excuse like "i'm not lucky" because every other player is equal to you. Go on, climb to legend with an 80% winrate then show your proof (including a deck tracker so we know it's legit)

Because it's
1/ Boring
2/ OP
3/ Everyone plays it
Dude, it's obvious that you suck at this game, learn to play please...
If you actually want to improve as a player, your refusal to play the deck you claim is skill-less, and your denial about the actual skill required to pilot it succesfully (and its actual power level) are huge obstacles you need to overcome. Even if you don't play MtG, the following piece might enlighten you a bit (and it actually makes some references to Hearthstone) :

Every single deck listed in tempostorm is a deck that has been able to at least reach legend. Most of them has hit top 100 with the player that listed it, if not #1. Many players have gotten up to legend with decks that are clearly below 4th tier, right down to folks taking F2P accounts to legend after about a month of play.
Aggro shaman and similar decks are the fastest way to reach legend because it plays so fast. That's why it's so popular. But it's far, FAR *FAR* from the only deck that can reach legend.
And that doesn't even GET to many typical rant that Legend is NOT the top of the skill ceiling. It's not even CLOSE to the skill ceiling. The skill ceiling is seen in tournaments and can be at least gleamed at at top 100. But legend isn't it.
If you don't have time for reaching legend (which makes sense, Legend requires far more than just a casual playthrough) then you can prove it via the many open tournaments that go about. Do well in there.
Don't have time for even that, then fine. But then you aren't even at the point where you can even judge the skill level of the game. You're playing a the casual rank against folks who either are playing casually without even trying or folks who are trying and are playing so bad that they can't make it (think about it,it's the end of the season, and they are still trying to rank up with a deck that can easily get you to legend. What does that mean about their skill level).
Please tell me what's so skill about my opponent who topdecks C'thun and kills me for +15 damage.
So much skill.
This example isn't about your opponent's skill, it's about your lack of it. Maybe you should've been more careful with your health knowing you were to face such a big game finisher, maybe you should've played more safely, maybe you should've cared more about the board, maybe you should include more heals in your deck, etc.

Maybe not everyone wants to be part of the problem? Maybe not everyone derives pleasure from getting a turn 5 win with completely overpowered cards? People here are saying only good players are making it to rank 5 and lower. That is incorrect. You can have a a single digit IQ and beat the best player in the world as long as you use Aggro Shaman. The options this cancer F****** deck provides are so damn easy and simply that it is not possible to mess it up.
I am assuming the reason he doesn't play Aggro Shaman to Legend Rank is because he isn't a piece of S*** and he actually wants a challenge. Right now the only counter to Aggro Shaman is Aggro Shaman.

Can anyone tell me what is so skill about this game? I clearly don't see the fact that you can be skilled at this..
Just grab a face shaman deck, get some good cards and topdecks and yay, so much skill.
Playing since 1 June 2014.

At least redirect your tears to Africa, it's kinda dry over there I hear.

The answer is obvious. Go play a game with skill, then watch yourself fail it just the same. There are plenty of other games out there.
People who refuses to play aggro out of principle are even worse than people who play exclusively aggro.
One should seek to become a complete player and play all archetypes, including ones that he despises for whatever irrational reasons.
Oh look, it's another one of those "I could easily get Legend if I just had some more free time" bullshit threads. Mods, lock please.

If you're just frustrated and need to vent, go outside, take a walk, hit the gym. Or, hey, post in the group therapy thread.
