Some kind of rotation was needed for the long-term health of the game. Whether it needed to come now, or whether it could have waited another year or so I am not sure. But I am not displeased with the result. The meta right now is pretty fun with a lot of decks able to compete.
Honestly, Standard is the only reason I play. It gave me a way back in after leaving for 3 years and having missed out on Naxx and GvG (I have 0 cards from both). I will only be playing standard since I'm able to keep up with the more limited card pool.
overall 99% i think standard is the best thing for a long time in hearthstone!
new sets have a much bigger impact and it is normally more fun. than going against dr boom and all the OP naxx cards. overall i am loving this new mode.
But i got to say i miss loatheb, belcher and healbot. the games are normally more aggro in standard which arent as great as i hoped for, but still early day hey!
cant wait till next adventure and the effect on standard! :P
I enjoy both modes, standard allows me to play cards i wouldn't even dare to play in wild because they are weak compared to wild stuff, and wild lets me play good old favorites and use patron warrior to annoy the hell out of secret paladins.
So, i enjoy standard as the meta game is different then wild (of course). However, im uncertain how i feel about Classic and/or basic always being a part of the format. This means that, no matter what, the meta can never be THAT different. While it makes the game accessible to new players and to returning players, it really waters down future possibilities when your control priest deck will always be 60% the same cards.
If i could change/implement anything, it would be either (in no order):
A) remove classic from standard
or
B) create a restriction list of classic/basic cards for standard that changes each season/set release. This would be similar to how MTG does reprints. There needs to be fundamental familiarity.
They should have nerfed the OP card for at least one more year -- the standard pool is too small. And the core set should've been much larger, or bad cards should've been rebalanced in addition to the nerfs.
The Druid had his core set butchered.
Keeper of the Grove was a problem -- and Hex wasn't..? One silences -- the other silences then kills. Guess what..? I prefer to have my Ysera silenced by a Druid for 4 mana than silenced AND killed by a Shaman for 3 mana.
And shield slam and execute for all eternity..? I prefer to have my Ancient of War silenced for 4 mana than killed for 1 mana. Both are essentially 1 mana Assassinates -- in the class that already has the most effective weapons and self-healing.
"But the warrior needs to deal damage to the minion first, and it's not like Warrior have Slam, Cruel Taskmaster and whirlwind effects sticking to minions, or quality weapons that can be used to damage minions."
...
The lack of balance and foresight just made me lose interest completely.
I think it 's the best thing to happen to Hearthstone. I haven't played a single game of Wild since the formats hit and I've never been happier. It seems the vast majority of people are happy about it too.
I would like to see Classic rotated out, but the card pool would be way too limited without it.
I dislike standard, and i think in the long run, having the playerbase split between two modes will come back around and bite the game in the ass with longer queues etc. Also as someone who plays almost exclusively wild i fear for the future of the game in general because it seems blizzard no longer cares about balancing cards for wild and just say "well who cares if that card is broken, it rotates out!" Over time we will see wild populated by 2 or 3 over the top imbalanced archetypes and eventually all the long time customers will have had enough. The people still playing will be noobs and streamers. Stramers because theycant exactly quit as they don't have day jobs to fall back on.

Your prediction only works for people who only play wild. The lack of wild players will never have much of an impact on Hearthstone as long as standard continues to be well populated. The success of standard will determine the longevity of Hearthstone, not wild. Sorry, but people who play strictly wild are a very small minority.
Yeah , i really liked the idea of standard , it was something new, a different meta every year and not seeing secret paladin, belcher, boom ecc... anymore was cool .
But now after months i feel like i miss a lot of cards : priest doesnt have an early game , hunter card draws, warlock miss heals (standard handlock sucks) ecc.. its 2 years i play hs and its the first time i find it annoyng and im not the only one , i think its becouse of the last expansion that is unbalanced , chtun archetype is boring to play, too much rng.. but after all i still think standard is a goood thing for this game.
Probably with blackrock mountain rotation things will be better, just becouse most of rhe cards of the expansion are useless in a non dragon deck.. let me know if you think like me
There is only 1 aggro deck in standart which is face shaman but you are right about netdecking is the real problem. People are taking exact same decks from pros without even teching.
As a player who came in at the tail end of the non-Standard era, I'm VERY glad Standard exists. It immediately leveled the playing field for us newbies. Not much, I mean I still get face rolled sometimes by awesome players with good decks but that's Hearthstone. Every single game when I started playing on ladder featured the same floody 1, 2 and 3 drops (Chow, Creeper, Gnome, etc.) and quite frankly I'm not sure how all you older players stood it for so long.

The only cancer in Hearthstone is its community.

Next step - Tournament mode!
enjoying it so much that i quit the game

The rotation system will make the meta change every year (at least), that is something important for the health of the game.
The more game modes the better.

i want wild back but without secret paladins because they are very tuff to deal with using most of controll decks

Had to be done or eventually ladder would be a nightmare
