I'm fairly new to the community, but god how much I love this website, the work of the staff, the professionalism of the moderators ... Plus the idea of the innkeeper letting you sync you collection and everything.
But let's get it straight, they can't protect this forum alone against some sick minded botters, so i'm creating this thread to try and propose some solutions.
Here's some of my own: - Recruit more mods or just give the right to delete post to some Highly trusted normal members.
-Limit the account creation to 1 per IP address or per browser-
- Limit the numbers of post for new accounts to 1 per day.
If you have some more please feel free to share it. And I invite you all to either report any spam thread or just ignore it.I mean what kind of sick my in spamming a innocent forum of playing cards...
I subscribe to this. Bots have been really aggressive lately. I mean i remember them being around for sometime, but i don't think i remember them being so active and literally flooding all the "Recent discussions" window on the main page.
So it is well known at this point that anything done to limit the number of accounts/thread creation will result in these shit for brain losers simply posting in existing threads. It is easier to deal with spam treads than spam posts within a thread. The best way to fight spam is to never every be 'that guy' who buys things from, or even clicks on it.
