I find waiting 24 hours to accept the friend request is really helpful. Usually they've long forgotten what they were going to say and I get to build my Watch and Learn list.
Usually I get/send friend request after an epic game, winning or losing by a razor-thin margin etc. Of course that's provided I didn't experience any BM during the match. Or another scenario is when we are interested in each party's last card which wasn't played right till the end.
One day I was playing Freeze Mage and face a Control Warrior. He won, obviously, it was 9/10 for him, than he add me and said: "next time you see a warior you just concede, your deck sucks". Man, really? What's the needed of that. What came to my mind was, this guy was wrecked by freeze mage so many times.
You were playing Freeze mage. You deserved this. Please uninstall Hearthstone.
On topic: This is why I never accept friend requests from people I just played. Happened to me two or three times and I said never again.
This is why we only have emotes instead of a full chat. Blizzard is smart.
I accept every friend request, and if they flame... I just... ya know, don't reply? After about a week (sometimes less) they forgot why I'm on the friend's list, and one of us will get the Spectate quest and we'll enjoy each other's victory. ^-^

The Roshambo to Hearthstone. Please be nice. Don't insult or be mad at someone for throwing Rock.
I've had someone who lost add me to flame me once. I qas playing an extremely greedy ramp druid i dreamed up with double naga witch and rest of cards being card draw, mana acceleration or huge minion. Guy messaged me "forsen plays that deck better". I loled
Playing since beta and never got friend request after losing.Guess you're just unlucky :/ Anyway there's a lot of people who don't need to insult in chat and just want to request deck list or write"funny game".Please accept all and delete if they start insulting :D
Haha yeah dude...it's never happened to me before but it's happened 3 times in the last week... that's what prompted me to make a thread about it...seems it's not a very common issue ... Why can't we all just get along :D
It's all about what tyler1 said: "Kids are bad and need to be told they're bad". That's why people BM. If you don't BM, you're doing yourself wrong and missing out on some fun. Also, kids are bad and need to be told they're bad

Only HS players can take a thread that's says why do people have to be such dicks, let's have fun" and get annoyed. Some cats need to get laid or smoke some weed
And that last whiskers comment, was just...
Tell me where I can send a pack of whiskers in recompense :)
this comes more from people who lose it seems. more often if i spam emote them. but if i spam emote you, that just means you either play poorly, or i believe you cant play a non faceroll deck.
I often send friend requests to ask a question about the game or their deck but they almost never get accepted because they obviously think I'm doing it to BM and be abusive lol. Sad.
Fuck them bro, talking down on people is for the weak! It's happened to me a lot and every time I can't help but laugh at how pathetic people can be. Expect the worst from people on Hearthstone.
Don't think I've ever accepted a friend request after a game. I've been on twitch, I know what sort of stupidity awaits me most of the time if I do so. Doesn't really bother me, I just ignore the invites and blow them all away the next day(some people will spam the invite if you immediately decline)
It would be cool if hearthstone implemented a deck request mechanism after a game. Obviously you would have to make it so no custom messages could be used or you'd have idiot kids sending racist stuff etc to people after games. Just some kind of button on the win/lose screen when the match ends.

Oh, I'm intrigued by the idea of a deck request mechanism. They could make it like the spectate feature, where you can tick whether or not you want to allow friends to spectate you? So, make it like you can choose whether or not to accept deck requests.

Die, Insect!
My magic will tear you apart!
I am almost afraid to ask to add people after a game, because people do negative stuff like this. I figure people will not accept.

Sad sad man.
There was actually very recently a scientific study that coined a name for people who do this.
Ahem Children
I returned to this game much like how a recovering alcoholic can relapse.
