I hate this list. I don't know if miracle or Malyrogue will function without tomb pillager. Thaurissan rotating out completely kills an entire style of play in combo decks (also my favorite decks). Hopefully blizz does the right thing and adds some of these to the classic set because without these cards, entire archetypes and playstyles are no longer viable. Reno also should be made classic as it singlehandedly creates a ton of decks and variations.
The only one I'm truly happy to see go is mysterious challenger. The secret pally debacle drove me straight out of game and I wasn't sure I'd ever come back. So many bad players playing a broken idiot deck to high ranks was stomach turning.
i agree reno could stay, however, the point of new cards and new formats is to design new types of decks to play. maybe with the lack of reno, we start to see more straightforward handlock decks or consistently more zoo decks.
the fact of the matter is that, different decks deserve opportunities to be played. saying i will play miracle rogue for the next 5 years is very selfish to the community who wants a different list of decks to play every year.
personally i'm happy freeze mage is somewhat rotated out, i'm also glad patron is also rotated out somewhat currently. and i'll be happy with miracle rogue goes back to being tier 2 so other decks can be played
I agree with you and a lot of fun I'm having in standard is because it had such a meta shakeup. Thaurissan is the one that really worries me, blizz can't just kill all combo decks. Without them you end up with a very boring meta with only straight forward and simple decks to play. There would be no reason for me to bother with this game if there are no high skill cap decks to play. Blizz would bore me right back to duelyst.
Freeze is actually still a strong deck. I was quite surprised when I tried some of the new versions but the problem with freeze is that when warriors are common you just have to shelf the deck and there are a ton of warriors around.
