I always asked myself this, and now I have the answer. It is very probably that most people that complain about BMing (crying like babies) here on this forum, are the players that actually BM while playing Hearthstone. I have a clear example: the user KitsuneRTC started today a thread complaining about the game and bad manners (http://www.hearthpwn.com/forums/hearthstone-general/general-discussion/144242-hearhtstone-is-literally-the-white-trash-of-the) that was closed very soon, and later he/she started to insult me in other one (http://www.hearthpwn.com/forums/hearthstone-general/general-discussion/144243-beyond-legend), like if he/she had 5 years old. It is hillarious that this kind of people open from time to time threads to say that the community (and the game of course) is shit, when in reality, they are the problem, the community is great, twitch chat is hillarious, and there is really nothing wrong with the attitud of most streamers and pro players. This people should stop with this hypocrisy, leave the community alone, and take their hate somewhere else, but that is probably never going to happen. The truth is that I only created this thread to show you guys the true face of this people, and to say that you should continue with your positive attitud while making Hearthstone and Hearthpwn a great enviroment for most of us. Good luck and of course...
To an extent, I'm sure everyone has BM-ed/still BMs/BMs on and off.
Even I admit to BM-ing, but lately I've just been not using the emotes at all. And I'm sure on some days in the future when I'm in a bad mood, I'll be inclined to BM.

I will admit that I occasionally BM but usually if:
1. The opponent is playing a deck I hate playing against (Freeze Mage, Miracle Rogue, Aggro Shaman)
2. The opponent roped or BM'd me back.
3. I'm in a salty mood.
EDIT: I also noticed that I BM a lot more when I'm playing Priest. I guess stealing other people's cards just makes me more prone to being a douchebag.
I confess to MAYBE doing the "Happy Feast of Winterveil" thing a time or two against people who were spamming emotes or roping... But after discovering that it was such a hot-button issue for some people, I have taken it upon myself to maintain the good sportsmanship mindset, even when being BM-ed myself.
As for the OP's point, s/he is absolutely right in so much as this game and community are as great or as terrible as you perceive them to be. Certainly, there are some players who are guilty of being jerks both in the game and on the forums, but this is true about absolutely everything you'll ever see or participate in online and off. This game/community is certainly no worse than any other I've been a part of and your own attitude towards your fellow players/posters is really the most important thing relating to your, and everyone else's, enjoyment overall.
It's a short search for negativity when you go looking for it with a bad attitude.

ok
If you ignore your problems for long enough, they tend to go away.
Or you might die.
Either way, problem solved!

Reported for naming and shaming.
People who refuses to play aggro out of principle are even worse than people who play exclusively aggro.
One should seek to become a complete player and play all archetypes, including ones that he despises for whatever irrational reasons.

The real question is: Who actually cares about any of this?

Well, humans are humans, offline and online.
A lot of people tell other not to do something and then do that very same thing themselves.
Most people suck like that, nothing new unfortunately.
As for HS....I give 5-10 seconds if the opponent wants to say hi, so I can say hello back and then I squelch.
