-> Naxx release / GvG - Blizzard made the mistake of adding too strong tempo plays for turn 1-3 (mad scientist, zombie chow, Nerubian egg, shielded minibot, muster)
-> these get removed in standard, so are not a problem anymore for the main format. Blizzard doesnt need to adress this issue. An example is already WOG, where we see the games slowed down a lot - and most classes dont even need that much healing to be succsessful. Imagine queueing into this meta with a zoo warlock from GvG, you would completely destroy all decks.
-> problem in the long term is that these cards will ALWAYS dominate the game in wild. Early tempo is way too important to make up for it with powerful cthun cards.
So basically, wild will be "Go back to GvG for the forseeable future"
There was a way to ADD more powerful cards, instead of this they've replaced them with crap.
Yes... and if you want to see what happens when you only add powerful cards, look at the thing once known as Yugioh.
are you stupid? adding more powerful cards instead of removing the already OP ones just to balance the OP aggressive cards is awful way to design. stop wasting our times and stop confisuing new players with these threads and gtfo kid.
I don't like the idea with Standard either. Instead of splitting the game into two types they should rather work on proper adjustments / nerfs / buffs on all cards and leave the game the way it was before. I read a lot about the happiness that cards like Dr. Boom etc. are gone, and I am asking myself why they didn't just put more effort in proper balancing of all the cards.

.."is awful way to design" and you didn't even bother to explain? don't waste my time with your stupid replies, kid
to destroy the old meta and to create a new one IS the worst way to design. but they're ok with it, no balance needed. crash and print, fuck the balance

To be honest, I'd rather have those Sm0rc shamans kill me by turn 5 rather than playing against Secret Paladin over and over again and losing games due to Boombots bullshit...

write only if you have eyes to read. but just today, for the stupid blind ones: NO BALANCE INVOLVED. cause (maybe you didn't know) the balance is to fix, not to destroy and build again
I think the "grinch " has something to say about that.
If 80% of your matrch ups are secret paladin and freeze mage, I would consider this card, otherwise no.. hf playing this against shredder or C'thun's choosen.

No, balance is to balance. If I want to build a sandcastle, and then I build another sandcastle, how is that worse or better than just making my first sandcastle bigger?
You know, you can play Wild then and let the rest of the people play where the fuck they want.

Control Hunter based on value (Loch-n-Load, discover cards, ram wrangler, etc), Healadin, Choose-One Druid, Warrior based on damaged minions, Pirate Warrior, Totem Shaman, Midrange Priest, Yogg Mage, Divine Shield Paladin...
Those are the decks I'm playing atm, and I plan on building more. And what I'm facing, is certainly not C'Thun decks or shaman only. Variety is stronger than ever, even "just" in Standard, and when that variety comes with no cards like Implosion or Dr.Boom, I'm 100% fine with it.
While Wild should feel much more diverse and fun, there is a basic problem.
Naxx and GvG have a lot of powerful cards that will always be used, but the decks are still limited to 30 cards.
Once they release more expansions, the standard decks will always be moving towards something new, while the Wild ones will keep a certain number of cards that, because of their power, are too good not to use it.
You are right. I give Standard a go and probably after a few weeks will go back to Wild. More cards, more variety, more combos - in theory. But if they keep releasing weaker cards than before, then we will see the same cards (Belchers and Booms) over and over again.
A: You have a new card that counters secrets pretty hard.
B: I don't meet enough enemies using secrets to bother with it.
Where's the logic?
Don't recall ever seeing that argument, ever.
These threads are pointless because it's two groups of people arguing at each other about their preferences and nobody is going to be convinced otherwise. People like different things, that's all there is to it. Blizzard has provided two different formats for players to choose from so now we have to take our bitchiness to the forums?

Decks would never change without standard...it was definitely the best move for the game.

Instantly deleted all wild decks. Never gonna put my feet in there, ever.
The end is coming!
I'm here to kick ass and play cards, and I'm all out of ass.
It's ok guys. He has the achievement now. We can stop posting.
