Honestly, at the moment wild is a lot more fun than standard. Before the expansion came out, I thought standard would be where all the experimentation would be, and wild would be a cespool of stale archetypes. However, in just a couple days, standard has condensed into just a few types of decks that everyone is playing: cthun, shaman, and some type of rigue., and zoo. That's about it. On the other hand, in wild, people are using both the old and the new, or a mixture of both. This leads to a lot more variety, as you get to see both old and new cards being mixed together, even cthun still( just not as much). What do you guys think: standard or wild?
While Wild should feel much more diverse and fun, there is a basic problem.
Naxx and GvG have a lot of powerful cards that will always be used, but the decks are still limited to 30 cards.
Once they release more expansions, the standard decks will always be moving towards something new, while the Wild ones will keep a certain number of cards that, because of their power, are too good not to use it.
I played Wild to get some quests done and that was it. Don't know what variety you're talking about, because I played 80% Secret Paladin and 20% Zoo (maybe just my luck, but that's what it was for me).
Besides that, coming back to Wild actually gave me real perspective on how broken certain cards are, that I will never miss playing against (not saying that there won't be some in Standard, but seriously - good riddance).
Overall I decided for myself that I will play Standard because it's the "official" format. It might be stale at the moment, but it's been less than a week? There'll be plenty of fluctuations and future sets will continue making more and more impact. So far I was actually enjoying my experience, and hope to continue doing so.
Besides that, I'm happy that there are different modes to enjoy, because sometimes you do want to try out some synergies with rotated cards.
I totally agree, I've only seen Midrange (Call of the Wild) Hunter, Zoolock, Yogg-mage, Murloc Paladin, N'Zoth Rogue, Evolve Shaman, Face Hunter, Divine Shield Paladin, Tempo Mage, C'Thun Druid/Priest, N'Zoth Paladin, C'thun Warrior and Patron Warrior in the last 24 hours, so stale.

Played a game of wild, the game was vs Secret paladin, conceded, turned to standard.. So sick of shreder boom challenger belcher and creeper, good riddance wild
in standard the games have diversity because no one uses a generic 4 drop anymore. no one uses mad scientist and you actually need to think now if you want to include secrets in your decks. every deck you encounter in standard is different while in wild almost every deck is like a copy of the other. paladin uses hunted creeper, knife juggler etc oh guess what zoo run them too oh guess what shaman plays them too. shredder is being played by 90% of the decks dr boom same. im not going to play wild for at least a year. im not dusting my cards cause i wont want to dust cards as expansions rotate out and eventually cant play wild at all but seriously you must be maso or crazy to play wild now. zoo is OP and broken as fuck in wild, in standard zoo exists but there board clears actually clear the board. also standard will change a lot with every expansion released and i like the fact that cards rotate out. for example all the cards that make aggro shaman good will rotate out eventually. try to play standard and see the diversity of the decks there. there are like 10 decks being played right now maybe even more and they all have a chance of winning. so far from what ive seen standard doesnt have a real king which is perfect. i mean theres not an OP deck that everyone plays, you play n'zoth paladin to counter c'thun decks and you get punished from aggro. you play c'thun decks you get punished by rogue and paladin. i literally love standard and i would have quit the game if they didnt introduce formats
That being said, Standard will probably become good in 2 or 3 expansions when enough good cards are in it.
For now i agree that its super boring and im having a hard time understanding why Blizzard would use this format for tournaments only...as if viewers havent been bored enough lately with pros only bringing 3-4 different decks to tournaments
You do realize that in 3 expansions 3 more are going to rotate out?
Not entirely true. When the next expansion comes, standard will consist of what we already have + that expansion. Then next year, we're only going to have WoG, the other 2016 expansion and the first 2017 expansion. In other words, the meta will be the most diverse in autumn of every year.
-> Naxx release / GvG - Blizzard made the mistake of adding too strong tempo plays for turn 1-3 (mad scientist, zombie chow, Nerubian egg, shielded minibot, muster)
-> these get removed in standard, so are not a problem anymore for the main format. Blizzard doesnt need to adress this issue. An example is already WOG, where we see the games slowed down a lot - and most classes dont even need that much healing to be succsessful. Imagine queueing into this meta with a zoo warlock from GvG, you would completely destroy all decks.
-> problem in the long term is that these cards will ALWAYS dominate the game in wild. Early tempo is way too important to make up for it with powerful cthun cards.
So basically, wild will be "Go back to GvG for the forseeable future"
There was a way to ADD more powerful cards, instead of this they've replaced them with crap.

You expanded your post in that other thread into a thread of your own. Progress!
Glad te be rid of Sludge Belcher and Piloted Shredder at last. Never going to play Wild.

Why the fuck would I want to play in a meta with Secret Paladin?
Because now christmas tree can be so much bigger and more christmas!
I think the "grinch " has something to say about that.

I still need to make a hunter deck with Flare and Eater of Secrets just to screw with them paladins.
