those who are not aware, the season ranking is based on the best you get for the season. so, some may just decide to focus on one format over the other. the rank that gets displayed on your profile is the best of the two.
I played standard for the last two days, and I've brought my rank from 13 to 10 pretty fast with a 21 win to 5 losses with Trump's C'Thun Druid, slightly modified by a single card. Standard is pretty messy right now so people are still learning the decks and stuff but I think that Wild just feels to old, once you get a taste of fresh standard and you walk into Wild, you realize you face all your old problems again lol.

Well, Standard was where the quests were and its the newfangled thing so that's what I was focusing on at first. But I have most of the cards in my collection so I'll probably be focusing on Wild later; but I won't exclusively play either.

Dependable loan sharks since 1960. We sink our teeth into every deal we make.
Standard since it feels more competitive and fresh. I've actually played Hearthstone Standard more in the last 2 days than any games in general the last month. I have more reason to get my usual goal of rank 5+ and care about it a bit more too in standard
as observed by many, standard is still very messy with people trying out new stuff, etc... partly motivated by the special quests... ;)
will that make it a good time to try standard, especially if you're ranking?
then again, those doing wild would mean they are comfortable and confident with their decks, so, making things tougher unless you have an equally good deck.
if that's the case, it'll seem like doing standard and hoping for good luck run can bring one up the ranks...
Mostly standard for now because quests. Will probably stick with it though since I have the least cards from GvG
Tried Wild few times and aside from your usual secret pally and such, there was a number of new players in there. Like a warrior with those big WOG commons (10 mana 10/10 and the other one) plus Cthun and no cthun buffers at all
Going to play standard this month and next, will then prob put in a month of wild. I don't think I play enough to get past rank 5 on both in a given month.
Standard is the more fun meta right now because everything is crazy and the void left by the rotation has shaken things up. It's also more likely to become "solved" sooner with more players and tournament play, so I want to get games in before things stabilize a month or two down the line. Wild is going to take longer for people to figure out the best decks. I'm just staring at my collection right now trying to innovate or add a card here and there and getting option paralysis instead.

but there is only ONE rank reward and it is based on the highest one for that month, right?
Been playing a bit of both. Standard is decent, with a lot of new decks - though you can sense the trihard-mode taking over. Wild seems more playful and fun.
Mind you these are my impressions, I haven't played that many games.
Yeah that's right, but I mean making a serious run on legend, ranks 20-5 are just for fun apart from getting golden hero wins and quests, just don't think I'll bother getting that far with both modes every month.
Which one are you focused on more at the moment? Any reason? Easier? Not enough good cards for standard? Or just trying luck?
my decks (comments appreciated):
Lyra's Dragons (standard) | C'Thun Druid (standard) | Lyra's Prince (standard) | C'Thun Undead (wild)
apologies about the two polls... should have got 3 options... instead of two. feel free to ignore first one.
or any mod can help delete the first poll (with two options)?
my decks (comments appreciated):
Lyra's Dragons (standard) | C'Thun Druid (standard) | Lyra's Prince (standard) | C'Thun Undead (wild)
Since standard is the new thing, my main focus right now is it, but i'll play wild later, So both formats for me.

So How Many Legends Do You Have?
Personally i love seeing people try random stuff in an unstable meta. Standard is always what I wanted hearthstone to be, at least for now.

something to think about as well...

If you enjoy hearthstone play wild at the moment
Standard is horrible, pay to win

I would say that for non-paying players (me) is the standart better...
I don't have many standard cards (I opened 17 TGT packs and I haven't opened many WOG packs ~ 12).
I struggle to have my standard victories for the quest but until these 2 quests are finished I have to play standard.
So no choice for me for the moment.

Is there a Prince Charming to offer me Card Packs ? ♥♥♥
