I know the new meta only started today and but I have been holding on to my dust for a long time now and I really want to craft a legendary. I currently sit at 2400 dust with another 800 I can mass disenchant.
I currently have all of the LOE wings along with the first wing of Black Rock. My other legendary cards are Alex, Bloodmage, Cho, and Hogger.
I sincerely dobout that patron will be a thing in standard with Death's Bite gone. But if you want to play in wild, which probably is going to be a clown fiesta of unbalanced decks, then sure.
I think Grom is just a good warrior minion overall. He is worth the investment IMO considering he is in the vanilla set. He'll always be usable no matter what, unless they change how formats work. Worth mentioning that the best card to trigger his enrage is out of standard, he still is a very good card though.
I think there's a good chance that a decent patron deck will emerge on standard even with deathsbite out there are a few patron triggers on the new set. Many say that patron is dead post warsong nerf but turned out a solid deck on ladder.

I've been playing patron and other decks as if they were nerfed for a long time, it's completely viable even with no Death's Bite.

Look, I want to tell you something because you're very dear to me. And I hope you understand that it comes from the bottom of my damaged, damaged heart. You are the finest piece of ass I've ever had and I don't care who knows it. I am so glad that I got to roam those hillsides.

What do you mean by "viable", is it capable of high legend? I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm just saying I find it hard to believe when they just lost their best activator. Not to mention their best weapon overall.
While I've not played that particular deck at Legend I had consistent success through rank 7-2 and I'm confident it could keep going.

hehe, when you mention Cho as a legendary is that Cho of the Gall variant or Lorewalker. Also Hogger plain or doom. Hogger Doom of Elwynn is a great patron card because of the high number of 1 dmg activator effects like revenge, whirlwind, sea reaver, inner rage, cruel taskmaster and tentacle oh nzoth, while Hogger plain is much worse overall (well I guess Hogger plain can fit better in some other decks but normally doom of elwynn is the better hogger)

If you're looking to play a patron deck, then Hellscream is most advised to craft!
Also, he's good in almost any warrior deck, crafting him is a very good long term investment as well.

Grommash is good in any warrior deck really. So yes.
