I'm enjoying it right now, playing mostly N'zoth/Control Paladin and works very well. First impression is really positive, i mean also the aggro decks (except face shaman) are trying out some new stuff wich is cool, i really love this moment of the meta.
To me, Forbidden Healing has been the MVP of these very first days, it is an incredible card, extremely flexible, works wonders against C'thun (mostly, Pyro+equality+heal for 12, or even just eQuality+trade+heal for 16).
Sometimes when i play some big stuff like Ragnaros, Lightlord i still think about BGH, but the nerf hurts and i havent' seen one yet.
I'm also surprised that almost anybody is running silences, my guess is that Spellbreaker is gonna be a thing again really soon.
I really don't need more eternal learning curves in my life, and no, Wild isn't unaffected by constant additions - hardly. Unfortunately the changes are extremely large and the retained value of what I've learned so far turns out to be quite small. So I'm planning to shift to other games, at least for the most part - and I won't be spending any more money, I don't believe (I didn't buy WOG packs, as it looked like there'd be a couple big gimmick decks that would set things on their ear.) It just feels like I'm rewarding Blizzard for tossing a game I loved into the trash. For a new game, sure - just not one I'm going to spend time learning, endlessly.
HS was fun until the hamster wheel became far too visible. If I could stay with the game I bought, I'd be pretty happy - if I could have that and play with the new toys, great. But this ain't that. Wild isn't a time machine, or a way to step off the merry-go-round and play what you payed for without the additions.
It's been fun, and I'll visit, but I'm grieving for what's gone a lot more than I'm celebrating what's arrived. And no, physical collector card games aren't the same; it's at least possible to go back in time or stick with what you like, say with a like-minded buddy or two.
I'll probably be less salty on this in a month, but I bet none of my gaming budget goes to HS again.
Wait, are you actually complaining about a card game releasing new cards? Wow...
Terrible expansion that just made aggro worse, and further screwed over rogues & hunters. More people will start to agree with me after the hype dies down and the new aggro meta establishes itself even further. Shamans & druids were already dominating LoE, they didn't need more buffs. Yes, druids don't have combo anymore, but their C'Thun decks are better than many other classes due to their ramp capability, strong overall class cards & powerful C'Thun minions. When the cards were still being revealed I thought that all of the C'Thun minions would be neutral for balance purposes, but for whatever reason that isn't the case. Not to mention the clear power creep in shaman & the blatantly overpowered 4 mana 7/7. The designers must be severely lacking in creativity at this point, after having to shove out so many cards every year, that they can't come up with anything balanced anymore, instead favoring "LOL SO RANDOM xD xD xD" over decent cards. But hey, all of that doesn't matter. Their marketing strategy is working. Make x classes OP for a while, then turn them into shit & make other classes op, so that people that were playing only certain classes need cards for the other classes, which they may not have had before, resulting in the need to open packs / spend money. All of this hidden under the guise that the meta's too stale, that it needs to be freshened up, and so on... all very typical and to be fair, that's the point of a company in the first place. Making money. I just wish they didn't have to result to such strategies in order to accomplish that goal. Has anyone seen a meta where all of the classes can do well at the top? ANYONE? I haven't.
If you want to do well on ranked you should play zoolock, smorc / midrange shammy, C'Thun druid, C'Thun priest, and... that's about it, I believe. Yes, there are probably other viable decks, but they aren't as strong overall as the ones I mentioned. Perhaps certain types of warriors are doing well, but I don't know much about that. Yogg mage is very YOLO. It can do relatively well, but it's more "fun" orientated than competitive. Deathrattle or aggro pally can also work better than deathrattle rogue or hunter, even though they specialize in deathrattle cards. What a joke.
In the end, what has changed from before WoG? zoolock is still strong. Control warrior has been replaced with a patron (STILL!?) / C'Thun variation. Druid simply runs C'Thun now instead of combo. Shaman's still wrecking face. Secret pally is deathrattle / aggro now. Freeze / tempo mage is now Yogg mage. Dragon priest is still relatively good, as is control, and C'Thun works as well. Compared to other classes, hunters are still relatively bad, and rogues are completely unplayable outside of non competitive, fun based decks. Doesn't feel like much has changed from last week. What a fun meta. I need to start playing arena more.
Look, I want to tell you something because you're very dear to me. And I hope you understand that it comes from the bottom of my damaged, damaged heart. You are the finest piece of ass I've ever had and I don't care who knows it. I am so glad that I got to roam those hillsides.
You must be rank 15 or you've climbed to legend with other decks and are now playing a N'Zoth deathrattle, pseudo miracle, C'Thun wannabe, or Reno variety of rogue, that doesn't do as well as the decks that I've already mentioned, aka: not competitive. But sure, laugh away.
Zoolocks everywhere and this deck is stronger than before
Cthun druids
Deathrattle rogues
Tempo mages
Shamans
add some random cthun/dragon warrior and priests
Deathrattle hunters
I think the meta is established more or less but there are still tons of cards out there and we will see more decks in the coming months , some classes will not survive at their current state , that classes are: hunter , rogue and maybe warrior and priest , all of them look weak and underdeveloped , they either dont pressure enough or die too easy to pressure , the bans and the nerfs murdered those classes.

Wow, you didn't read what was written. Stow your fantasy. I'm happy with releases, just leave us the option of avoiding them and having the old game. Nobody reads, low semantic proficiency = high poll numbers for Trump.
So didn't get to play yesterday, but today I got on and all the C'thun druids are gone and the game is infested with Zoolocks, haha (rank 4).
Very strong deck it seems, having a really hard time against it. That 3 mana 1/5 can get out of control real fast. Also that tentacle spell suddenly makes Relinquary Seeker a good card.
I have been playing nothing but a Deathrattle Rogue & Renounce Darkness Warlock. The decks are so much fun: even beating the C'Thun decks - most recently a Warrior and a Priest!
Yeah, where did the C'Thun Druids go? I wanted to farm them with Patron Warrior, but it seems to be very strong against Zoo's several 1-health minions too. Works for me.

The end is coming!
I mostly like that older vanilla cards are suddenly possible to play in contructed again.
