For some of you, C'Thun may seem very entertaining and all, but I doubt you will see it that way for a long time if it is the only tier 1 archetype of control deck for some classes. Not only that the deckbuilding won't be very interesting - spoiler below - but also that in every damn mirror, the winner will be the one that had the best value out of C'Thun or drew him faster.
Type "C'thun" in the searchbar of your collection. Such skills, much wow.
But that would be ok if the control lover who don't like it or who are bored of this style could find something equally strong to play, but I fear there is nothing that will compete with it.
For example, my main is a priest: so even if I have tons of tools to rule the late game, how do I face a cw or another priest which could set-up a huge C'Thun the whole game? Or who plays value-monster cards like Twin Emperor Vek'lor? If I don't play C'Thun myself, I fear I just have to wait to get crushed.
Sure, I could run Mana Wraith or The Black Knight, tons of heal to keep to survive after C'Thun s' battlecry (when he's not 30/30 I guess) and probably some tech cards I can't think about, but then how do I face the non-C'thun decks if my one is full of situational shitty cards?
I really hope I am wrong because this meta would be boring af. So if you're a better deckbuilder or meta analyzer than me, how do we counter it?
Good to read that you guys are more positive about the new meta incoming.
Both of you analyzed the situation greatly, but I disagree with Hearthsam who's saying that Elise Warrior is going to be stronger, I am not so sure about that since Ancient Shieldbearer and Twin Emperor Vek'lor are going to be so good in CW, + you don't need so many cultists to make the deck works!
Still a relief to think about this differently

Will every control deck have to play C'Thun untill the next Adventure, Expansion, or even Rotation?
Hello,
As you all know, Blizz have been trying really hard to make the C'Thun archetype viable. Several very good cards, if not OP, have been released to make it possible: Twin Emperor Vek'lor, Usher of Souls or Ancient Shieldbearer for example.
