Of course it is still pretty hard to say without seeing the whole set + completely new decks can change the power of existing decks considerably. So just looking at this, ignoring half of the new set + completely new decks:
Controll warrior and Controll Priest should be quite good. As long as Controll Warrior wouldn't be everywhere Freeze Mage would be quite good. This makes fast aggressive decks way more effective too, especially aggro shaman.. It's quite likely that we will see a new form of face hunter and the current aggro shami feeding on the undefined new greedy decks.
I think that you are wrong about tempo mage.. A kind of tempo mage deck will surely remain in the meta.. Mage decks are just so easy to build that people will find something quite fast. Also I doubt that Handlock will survive, unless we see a new big threat which they could use against aggro instead of Molten Giant. Molten Giant nerf + Ironbeak Owl nerf won't kill renolock and a new controll Warlock may rise but classic Handlock is probably dead.
Handlock ain't dead. Yes molten was nerfed, but handlock got a great boost from the nerfs, silence nerfs means Drake becomes stronger, taunts will be harder to pass, bgh nerf boosted giants and other big minions. Combo druid nerfed to the ground, one of the so so matchups for handlock. There will definetely be new control warlock with handlocks base. And if meta turns out to be control oriented, handlock will be a top tier deck.
I think Face Shaman will be the best aggro deck simply because they dont run secret and Balance Hammer is still there. I also feel that midrange and control Shaman is something with new cards.
Warlock can never die, they will not stupidly strong like before since many indirect nerf - rotate.
Warrior is super strong, but now their Healbot (shield maiden) is gone, they have trouble dealing with Aggro Shaman. I think if ever tank up is still a thing Warrior is still tier 0 in any control match up.

I don't see it. In Standard Demon synergy is gone and in Wild only change is druid losses, but Moltens are lost too. And main issue for Handlocks isn't Combo Druid, surprisingly, but Aggro Shaman.
Freeze Mage is losing nothing from the Standard rotation except Mad Scientist, which is a significant, but no way un-overcomeable hit. Meanwhile, Combo Druid loses a lot and the key tech cards against Freeze Mage are either rotating out (Loatheb, Kezan Mystic, Antique Healbot), getting nerfed (Ironbeak Owl) or just laughable bad (Eater of Secrets). Therefore, Freeze Mage will IMO define the meta.
And as always, when Freeze Mage defines the meta (that doesn't necessarily mean it's everywhere), Control Warrior and slower Druids that can stack Armor emerge to punish the Magi. Even more so that the other typical way of dealing with Freeze Mage - Outrunning it - gets screwed a lot by nerfs and format rotations.
As someone here on Hearthpwn stated, welcome to the Year of the Frozen Kraken.
Freeze mage can dominate only in his wardrobe now. Eater of Secrets. Why do you think it's laughable bad? Control Warrior. Why do you think it's gone? Even In Wild I don't see it.
How is tempo mage gone? All the core spells are basic and flamewaker is blackrock.
The mad scientists/secrets can easily be replaced with more burn spells or card draw (inifinite ammount of both of these for mage)
unstable portal... i never used that rng garbage. Rather tech in MCT (good for waiting for flamewaker combo) and a flaming torch... another good stall card.
Other then this the core cards are there (ie fireball and anto).

Eater will see play in a heavy freeze meta; it probably won't kill the deck, being a 1-of, but will keep it in check. CW will certainly rise up as a counter, I'd also keep an eye on stuff like midrange shaman (Healing wave) and Echo Mage [which laughs at freeze]. Then you get stuff like midtrange paladins emerging to eal with the CWs, although midrange shammy would probably be also a decent CW couter, so might be the overall winner.
In Wild there is still Secret Paladin, so Eater of Secrets gonna be in each deck. So no Freeze Mage dream.
In Standard there is Control Warriors and Aggro Shamans, a lot of them. I don't think Midrange Shaman can decrease these two deck potential popularity, for sure there is a lot of new cards to annouce, but for now not. And no Mad Scientist in Standard. Without it Freeze Mage is very clunky deck. No faith at all.
Hunter will not be seen much in the meta. I would assume we'll see a lot of heavy control/ midrange decks. Not too sure what's going to happen with druid, probably just ramp decks. Yogg-Saron mage will be a thing, and it will be amazing.
- Mage will be the strongest class. Not only did it get out of the nerfs unscathed; it only really lost 1 card [Mad Scientist]. Freeze Mage will automatically be powerful in a control meta; especially when they can get even more burst with Cabalist's Tome improving their Warrior matchup. Also Faceless Summoner is just disgusting.
- Druid will still be strong; but in a more token-based playstyle like it used to be, instead of full combo. Savage Roar is still absurdly OP and is basically a far better Bloodlust. And they still have loads of token generation potential. C'Thun Druid will probably be the best C'Thun deck; since C'Thun Druid has the most C'Thun cards; can ramp up; has some of the best draw of all the classes to find C'Thun; and it's C'Thun cards are really strong.
- Warrior will naturally be strong in any control meta. The meta will be control. Even without Control Warrior getting much I think it will still be strong.
- Paladin will drop in play a lot. Loss of Minibot and Muster is absolutely devastating. Loss of Avenge is also a big nerf to Secret Paladin. The new Paladin cards are average at best; their best card being the 3/3 Divine Shield a 1 HP which will be far better in Wild than Standard where you can summon bubbled dudes and then Quartermaster next turn. Also; Murloc Paladin is losing Old Murk-Eye since the reward set is also being rotated out. Loss of Murk-Eye kills Murloc Paladin.
- Hunter will still be the de facto aggressive deck; but they will pack a bit less 'kill you by Turn 7' and a bit more later game with Call of the Wild. Basically; they'll kill you by Turn 8 now not 7. Midrange Hunter will probobly be a thing as well. Expect less Secrets in Hunter with Mad Scientist gone.
- Shaman has got some reat cards on paper but their evolution mechanics are unreliable, and face Shaman lost quite a lot of it's important cards in rotation. Shaman will obviously be midrange or control but if it will be good is up in the air since evolution is a new mechanic.
Warlock - As per usual; an expansion comes around and Warlock gets nothing. The best Warlock cards in this expansion are Forbidden Ritual which isn't great; and Renounce Darkness so you can throw away all those godawful Warlock class cards, probobly after tapping a bit.Even random cards from another class are usually better than Warlock class cards; especially with a 1 mana discount. Molten Giant's nerf hurts Handlock [Although Owl nerf helps]. Thankfully Imp Gang Boss is still around until the next Adventure for Warlock to pray he gets SOMETHING. But they lost Darkbomb and Mal'Ganis...
Preist - I actually think Preist will be in a better spot than they are now. Forbidden Shaping isn't really reliable but it's good. Deathwing, Dragonlord could see play until Blackrock leaves in Dragon Priest. They have two pretty solid C'Thun cards and the control meta combined with more big minions being played makes Shadow Word: Death and Mind Control so important.
And here's a question; if you use Thoughtsteal and they have C'Thun does it copy it's buffs?
Rogue - Oil Rouge was dead even without the Flurry nerfs since Oil is rotating out. I don't think Rogue is anywhere near as dead as a lot of people are suggesting. GvG/Naxx losses basically only make them lose Oil in terms of class cards. They're getting a few really; really good cards in this expansion in Huckster; Shadowcaster and Journey Below. I think the main Rouge decks will be Raptor/Tempo Rogues or Battlecry Rogues using Shadowcaster and Brann Bronzebeard to replicate powerful Cries.
I really loved this subject: "your-bold-half-assed-predictions-for-the-meta", but I guess since you closed it I'll post em here instead...didn't get to finish yesterday^^
C'Thun Druid will result in huge outcries from the community and even I might get tired of playing with/against Druid :P
Rogue will get a strong control deck! (Possibly only in Wild...but still!! :D)
Hunter will get a strong control deck! (Possibly only in Wild...but still!! :D)
Priest will be Randuin Wrynn and not much else.
Casino Mage will be massively popular in low ranks and casual, Freeze and possibly some form of tempo Mage will be the better archetypes.
Ancient Shieldbearer will make ctrl warrior players...me included....very sad...because Druid C'Thun will be so much better than Warrior that it will feel boring to play.
Shaman will be the go-to aggro class.
Healadin will be Paladins only viable archetype, Murlocadin might be popular in low ranks.
Warlock will keep going with reno and zoo...possibly C'Thun and/or other old gods makes it into a handlock deck that kinda works.
What is Hearthstone to you? A fun and semi-competitive game with wacky effects and crazy RNG outcomes or just a card game you wanna grind as many wins you can get as fast as possible in?
Aggro Shaman losing Crackle is a much bigger deal than people make it out to be. Whenever I play Aggro Shaman it's usually crackle that wins me the game if it isn't Doomhammer. In fact I win more games through Crackle than Doomhammer, supposedly this is difficult to believe but I guess my experiences have been different from the average player or the average player is a POS liar. The second sounds more likely imo.
Freeze mage can't touch Priest or Warrior and Eater of Secrets is way better than people make it out to be. A 4 mana 3/5 that destroys a card your opponent absolutely needs to win the game is really, really good. FM is still going to be a good deck though, just not as broken as people think.
C'Thun decks will dominate the game easily, especially priest thanks to Entomb being an easy answer to opposing C'Thun and pretty much winning the game in one card. Rogue will also be extremely good for obvious reasons.
The only thing that may keep Paladin around is the new 2 mana discover card because everything else that happens to them is pretty terrible. I'm cool with this, fuck paladin.
Hey everyone, So clearly this POV from me are based off theory and its something that may or may not happen.
So the top 3 archetype i see being done in the new format is this
1: Cthun Control decks: Alot of people are going to try and make Cthun Decks work, I think some of them will do very well against the shards of aggro that people will try and do. What kind? I think the 2 strongest decks for Cthun would be Warrior and Priest, Druid following behind them. by the nature of what priest and warrior can do to last until the late game makes Cthun very powerful in these decks.
2.Freeze mage: With all the Sticky minions leaving from Nax and GvG, The rise of Freeze mage will make it so that it can do what freeze mage does best and make it so it can win by the nature of what the deck does, Kill shit and burn you out.
3.alot more Midranged Decks. IE Hunter and Druid: With the removal of Arcane Golem and FON of being something that combo decks will use to kill you from 25 or more health. Decks that have a powerful midranged game will be able to play out boards and win off of good minions that will contest the board.
The next thing i want to talk is decks that will probably die off because of the sets being rotated out.
1. Secret paladin: This logic could apply to paladins in General, but i think that the fact secret paladin is losing, Avenge, Muster, coghammer and minibot and Dr Boom....makes it look alot less threatening
2. Zoo: Now there will still a few people that will play Zoo because its a cheap deck that can gain board control; but i think the lose of cards like Nerubian egg, Impulsion and voidcaller will make zoo alot more honest.
3. Combo Druid : For clear Reasons, Combo druid is dead and buried. I think thats a good thing however because druid was a class that basically live and died off of playing Combo. Blizzard doesnt like combos such as FON + Roar to dictate how a class is defined.
I could go on forever but i think thats a small taste of my thoughts on the new standard, I cant Wait to start playing standard because i think it will bring new life into hearthstone.
I think there will be multiple shaman decks. Face and midrange, maybe more....Totem control varient?
Cthun druid will be real. Ramp + cthun is just too strong to not be solid. My only concern is the complete lack of quality card draw for druid. The rise of nourish? Probably not lol, maybe a 1 of.
Aggro paladin will be good, possibly a steward style deck, but most likely just a standard face deck that abuses the slower format with divine favor.
Yogg/tempo mage should be playable. Probably not tier 1, but it will exist.
Freeze mage will be extra strong. Since it came out of the rotation and the nerfs pretty much unscathed. (Have to cast your secrets and thats about it).
Zoo lock will never go away ever. They will just keep plugging in different minions to replace the things that rotate out. This deck has always been viable and standard will not change that.
Druid and priest are going to have the most successful C'Thun decks.
Ramp druid will also be pretty good. No aggro druid, no beast druid. Dragon priest will stick around.
Elise warrior and traditional control warrior will continue to be effective, but C'Thun warrior won't be a top-tier deck.
Patron will still be around, but no longer a top-tier deck. Pirate warrior might be somewhat successful.
Control paladin will make a comeback—maybe even Reno paladin. Some kind of new spammy aggro paladin will emerge.
Freeze mage will be good, but C'Thun druid/priest, ramp druid, and every kind of slow warrior/paladin will keep it in check.
Tempo mage will still be around, but not very strong. C'Thun mage will probably work.
Midrange hunter will be pretty strong. Deathrattle variants will exist, but will not dominate. No control hunter, no pure aggro.
Face shaman will be the one current pure aggro deck that survives, although it won't be exceptionally strong.
Midrange shaman will be successful and will spawn all kinds of wacky variants—Evolve shaman, dragon shaman, etc.
Deathrattle rogue will be pretty good. Some kind of aggro/tempo rogue will probably come back. C'Thun rogue will flop.
Classic handlock and zoo will survive, but not thrive. C'Thun warlock and Renolock variants will be successful.
TL;DR thing about aggro decks:
People don't understand how fragile aggro decks are. Because the games are shorter, aggro decks can be very efficient for laddering even when their winrates are quite close to 50 percent ("56% WR aggro deck = 58.5% WR midrange deck = 61% WR control deck" according to this handy reddit post). However, they have to be perfectly optimized. A 56 percent winrate means going 28-22 every 50 games, gaining six stars. If your winrate drops to 52 percent (which sounds almost as good), suddenly you're only going 26-24 every 50 games, gaining two stars. Losing 4 percent from your winrate, when it's already so close to 50 percent, means progressing up the ladder three timesslower.
One of the consequences of this is that every nerf to cards in an aggro deck is HUGE. Face hunter tends to win games by razor-thin margins; if the nerf to Leper Gnome means an average of, say, 1.5 less damage per game, and now you lose one game in twenty by a single point of health, when you would've won by a single point of health, bam, that's it, the deck is unplayable. Fiery Bat might replace Leper Gnome effectively, but consider that hunter is losing Arcane Golem, Haunted Creeper, Glaivezooka, and Mad Scientist and that Knife Juggler is getting nerfed. They're getting no chargers (there aren't any charge minions in the whole expansion, Call of the Wild aside), no aggressively statted early drops, no weapons, and no direct damage. Face hunter is dead.
Now consider face shaman. They're not losing much, but the Leper Gnome nerf matters, and losing Crackle is actually a really big deal, because they're getting no new nuke, no chargers, and no weapon that can fit in the same deck as Doomhammer. Will the addition of Flamewreathed Faceless and possibly Eternal Sentinel compensate for that loss? Maybe. I don't expect this deck to be wildly dominant, though.

Dragon Mage. my personal predator for when dragon priest and control warrior are popular ;)
I feel Control Warrior going to dominate Standard and especially Wild meta. There is no counters left for it.
Hall of Fame (ignore list): aleathas, Baylith, cendol, DiamondDM13, Dominieq, doomr, glitterprincess, hamtarofr, Heck, Jwigg33, Kaladin, Krewger, Legend_Entomber, libertyprime, Maukiepaukie, PandarenHero, randjob, s2mikey, SchruteBucks, The_Giratina, TheWamts, ticandtac, tictactucroc, tsudecimo, WaffleMonstr
I think Face Shaman will be the best aggro deck simply because they dont run secret and Balance Hammer is still there. I also feel that midrange and control Shaman is something with new cards.

Aggro Shaman is pretty good now, but I'm pretty positive that BLzzard will nerf it approprietly if it goes overboard.
C'thun control Warrior looks to be pretty solid already and we don't even know the warrior legendary yet
Midrange Hunter (Deathrattle focussed or just regular) also looks really promising
Other than that, since Savage Roar didn't get nerfed, there will be some sort of Druid that sees play...I refuse to believe anything else.
Tempo mage is less tempo but more cool stuff
Also, tons of dragon decks because that's the only neutral archetype left that everyone can properly use
I tried having fun once. It was awful.

Losing 4 percent from your winrate, when it's already so close to 50 percent, means progressing up the ladder three times slower.
