I got a Gold Leeroy Jenkins card and I don't know if I'll ever use him....and damn 1600 dust would buy a lot of cards. Or at least a different legendary I like.
But....disenchanting something for 1600 that is "worth" 3200 doesn't seem right. What should I do?
I bought some cards, so I'm okay on commons to make the basics of most decks, so I can afford to not d/e my cards and keep them and stay ahead on getting a complete collection some day. If I were playing for free and struggeling to make the decks I'd want to play I'd most certainly consider d/e'ing cards. Leeroy is mildly useful though, so not sure I'd consider him in particular.
If it helps, there's always Reckless Rocketeer to soften the blow of not having Leeroy anymore. It sort of fills the void, even if the mana cost is higher, the card less powerful, and minus the downside of handing your opponent 2 1/1 whelps.

I started to play a few days ago and I'm on a similar situation. I got a golden illidan on my first pack.
Reached 3 starts masters in the first day using a basic mage deck but now... i'm stuck. Losing a lot more then winning and a few more rare cards would help me a bunch.

You wanna play constructed, make decks... or you gonna catch 'em all?
If you can awnser this, there is your problem solved.
I never disenchant any cards that I dont have extras of personally. I have a golden milhouse manastorm for god sakes.

But is kinda sad disenchant golden legendaries :(
I'd dust Manastorm in a heartbeat. Same for Gelbin if I could, and Greenskin, but it's because I don't like their style of play.
Now a golden Jaraxxus...or Illidian, or Tirion, Alexstrasza, Ragnaros....nah those are all awesome legenendaries.
Leeroy is actually one of the top legendaries. No way I'd d/e that card.
