There still are 70+ unrevealed cards and 16 days (if April 26 is the real release date) so I can't understand why they aren't revealing any now. You would think that steady releases would keep up the hype better. And releasing 3-4 cards in a day would be better than releasing 30-40 cards just before the launch. But I guess they have a plan of some sort for these things.
It might be nice to reduce the amount of staff that's needed on the weekends. Less to manage logistically if they don't have to manage the who and when to make sure the release is done properly and on time, reduce the barrage of questions that come in on the forums and social media with each card release, etc.
But I agree, I wish we could see some action on weekends. Other discussion forums and content sites seem to have slowed down recently while people wait for the release to hit.
This bothers me as well, the 77 unreleased cards yet to be unveiled with a pretty much confirmed date of April 26 it is strange indeed. I would think that they would want to release half the cards by now so players can still get a good feel of the expansion with a little more depth and decide to pre-order it or not.
This is all just my opinion, but hey it's Blizzard game to do what they want with it. Hell, they could just decide to plop the expansion down tomorrow for all we know xD
why wait to end of april for the expansion they clearly have everything ready!!!11
They obviously don't have everything ready, since in an interview they said that the balance team is still working on some of the cards. Remember how there was last minute card changes and even removals in both TGT and LOE?
As for why there are no cards on the weekends, I would guess mainly so they can limit how many cards are shown. They like to save about 50 cards for the card dump. I expect for all the cards to have been revealed by the end of next Friday, with the release happening on the following Tuesday (the 26th)
Personally, I would prefer NOT to know all the cards when the expansion is launched. It would be really fun opening up packs and seeing cards for the first time.

Months with no cards added. Longest wait for an expansion. AND NOW THEY HAVE THE AUDCACITY TO SLOWLY RELEASE CARDS AND NOT ANNOUNCE THE NERFED CARD LIST. HOLY SHIT BLIZZARD IS SUCH A SHITTY COMPANY.
Seriously I can't believe Blizzard. Not even with just hearthstone. All of their games are lacking in huge areas.

I don't know, some people like to see what they are buying before they buy it. Knowing what you are buying is a pretty big thing.

I understand where you're coming from. I guess it's like when your favorite band (or any band you like) releases a new album. For me, I don't need to go and torrent the whole thing and evaluate every song before I decide if I want to own it legally or on vinyl. I just trust them based on their prior work and get excited about what they're releasing. Same thing for Blizzard and the new expansion. I trust that there will be new ideas, some good and some bad cards, but generally balanced and fun.

Totally agree.
I mean I don't mind to know, say 50% of the cards, but keep the other half as a surprise. This way you will have an idea what to expect and more people will buy packs to find out what the rest of the set will be like.

You know it's in your power to make this wish come true, right? In fact, it takes no effort whatsoever, unlike so many of our hopes and dreams.

They revealed cards on the weekends during the Hearthstone championships... that's how we found out about Infestate and the other cards that were revealed that day...

It's possible but challenging, because I would basically need to cut myself off completely from the entire HS community for the next two weeks. That means no coming here, no chatting with HS friends, no visiting reddit.

The wait is annoying.

Yeah, I'm sure it's all about potential damage control.
They don't want the Internet to explode over some ridiculous misinterpretation when it has two whole days to fester before a clarification.
It's a shame the community is the way it is.

It's not a weekend anymore so this thread should be locked. Reported.

I returned to this game much like how a recovering alcoholic can relapse.
Maybe because Friday, Saturday and Sunday are holy days for some people, just speculating...
