It's a no win scenario, print cards that are matching in power or don't immediately swing the game and they are horrible, print crazy cards and people complain about power creep and OP level cards.
You might as well have said, why doesn't bliz make every card Dr. Boom. But it's really a deck building game. Single exodeous, blue eyes white dragon type cards aren't fitting in a game about deck building instead of top decking.
They also see a bigger picture. People have asked why Master of disguise is getting nerfed if no one plays it, which ignores the larger game space, because it would become broken with future releases.
Or in short, Bliz makes some odd decisions but they are actual game designers and know what they're doing.
The problem isn't simply that the revealed cards are bad, it's that they're boring and add nothing new or exciting to the game.
^ My point exactly. I don't want anymore OP cards like Dr. Boom. I just want the card game that I love playing to release new cards that aren't boring. That's all.
Instead of looking at each newly released WOG card and asking " What would I replace in my current deck to add this?" You should be asking yourself "How can this and the other available cards create an awesome synergy to possibly create a new deck?". Yeah some of these cards aren't all that great, I personally don't see myself making a deck with corrupted loothoarder in it but who knows? We can't change what they're giving us we just need to try to make the best of it.
Fan cards are cool but it is blizzard's game. I am not disappointed at all with the revealed cards and they only excite me about what the good ones must be like.
WoG cards are boring, boring, boring. Power level is relative but throwing new stat distributions and divine shields on...ZzzzZzzzz. Oh sorry dozed off there while reading the new cards. I love hearthstone but nothing is getting me excited for this expac except mad scientist rotating out.
People in the community doesn't know how hard it is to balance card sets. I think the whole deck synergy thing that wog is introducing is the best way to promote new type of decks much like how yugioh works.
Why would you play midrange shamman if you can win easily with secret paladin? I think making a deck revolve around 1 central card or theme gives way for usually bad cards to usable ones.
This is also good to not powercreep everytime you release a new set. Blizzard is designing it in a way that a c'thun deck is always viable or a n'zoth deathrattle deck that is always viable.
So yes, the cards are meh comapring to gvg and naxx cards but that's why exactly they are rotating out. Naxx and gvg was a mistake that blizzard had to correct by rotating out.
So expect these 'bad' cards to be viable and Tgt to me viable as well.
Economy means here its structure, its organization. A concrete example: If you replace 2 River Crocolisks by 2 Flame Jugglers in a deck, the economy of the deck will be very slightly changed. But it you take out 2 Mysterious Challenger from a Secret Paladin deck to put in 2 Boulderfist Ogre, the economy of the deck will be completely refined.
That makes almost no sense, and besides why wouldn't you use the aforementioned synonyms.

Based of the cards released, yes, WoG is looking awful. Blizzard cultist will swallow anything but its the same 4 mechanics used over and over.
Oh and we are not talking about powerlevel, we are talking about cards that feel new, cool or inreresting.
Which arguably we've gotten with;
- A minion that gets buffed based on minions being played over the course of game
- The Shaman/Priest Legendary both pushing archetypes that do not currently have a lot of traction
- A card that literally allows you to pull out your 10-drop(s), meaning you CAN actually pull out the Old God you've been making your win condition.
- Forbidden Spells providing gobs of flexibility, and sparking a reasonable amount of analysis on if that flexibility outweighs the fact they're lower value than some other cards at the same (but fixed) mana cost
- Tentacles for Arms. Hate it all you want, but an infinite weapon is new.
Yes there are Polluted Hoarders and the like in this set, but saying we haven't gotten interestingly designed cards at all is something I think you'd be hard pressed to sell. And we're what, a third of the way into the set? Unless you're being cynical for the sake of cynicism, I can't see why there isn't a reason we won't see more cards exploring other things that may have had little or no exploration before.

It's sad when cards that fans make up and post to this site are better than the official Hearthstone Teams WoG.
Argue if you want, but you can't deny that the Hearthstone team missed some great opportunities to add in some refreshing and unique mechanics to WoG.
"YOU HAVE JUDGED IT TO SOON, EXECUTUS!" Blizz leave the best cards for last moment, instead of showing few cards near the end they will reveal bunch of them in one day however i wouldn't expect to much at your place.
People still miss to see the need to have bad cards, meh cards and good cards to have a complete set. You can't have ALL extremely good cards, it doesn't work that way, dude.

Those fan made cards you speak of are usually broken and not very well designed..soooo
