Lol what's there to argue? You didn't provide any meat to your claims. It's just a baseless statement followed by an assertion of your close-mindedness that probably led to this post.
We've seen like 30% of the cards from the expansion. I get that everyone's entitled to an opinion, but judging the expansion as a whole on less than a third of the cards is just dumb.
I feel like if they are introducing new mechanics, they'll reveal them closer to the release, which there's still plenty of time until.
Most of the cards that fans come up with are wildly OP. Although you may think you want Blizzard to do stuff like that, you REALLY don't. If you don't think the game is interesting enough, go play a different one.
Forbidden cards, practically a C'Thun tribal, as well as some interesting cards like the priest and shaman legendary, but yeah, there really are no new mechanics are there? /sarc

Could you explain what you mean by your statement? Are you talking about the lack of OMG cards, or that most revealed so far have been meh? Yeah the community can come up with some cool ideas but they are the community for a reason and not blizzard employees. Let the expansion tell the story and not assume you know the whole outcome. Either this will end up being a huge expansion for the game, or it will be a huge hurt to it. Blizzard has literately millions of dollars riding on the line with the game, they want it to be good.
When Tgt got released they showed inspire right away. But the joust Mechanic wasn't revealed until right before the launch. They already added forbidden spells and c'thun mechanic. But it wouldn't be unheard of if they had another new mechanic up their sleeve.
It's sad when cards that fans make up and post to this site are better than the official Hearthstone Teams WoG.
Argue if you want, but you can't deny that the Hearthstone team missed some great opportunities to add in some refreshing and unique mechanics to WoG.
Yup. Because you said so, Blizzard has REAAAALLY screwed up yet again. We may as well all just quit the game and stop giving them our money, because they're just the worst company ever. I bet they vote Donald Trump..
Okay, now ill stop being sarcastic.
No. They haven't screwed up absolutely anywhere. They've designed a whole load of cards building on the idea that you need to pull out an Exodia-esque Old God card, which honestly, is really cool.
I can count at least 5 or so cards which you can build entire competitive decks around. They're trying hard to bring in some Reno Jackson recreations, and they're doing it right.
Some cards will be bad and boring, because they have to be. Every expansion needs to have bad cards to pull back the power of good RNG cards.
Whenever there's a card collection designed by fans, they're almost always introducing some kind of new mechanic, or have every single card in the set as either OP or 'really good'. While these are good suggestions as concepts, things like this are never viable to be implemented in the game.
Blizzard hasn't dropped any ball. Card suggestions by fans will always be better, because they're allowed to be as outlandish as they want. Blizzard cards aim to be as cool as possible while remaining in the realm of viability.
Im really excited for some of these new cards. Reno Jackson was by far the best part of LoE because it shook up the meta so much and got players to create completely new decks around him. Some of these cards are doing the exact same.
Sorry but I have to agree with the OP. I don't think he is stupid: he knows that only 30% of the expansion has been revealed. But we sincerely have to admit that the revealed card are yet boring, weak or “would-maybe-find-a-place-in-my-deck-as-a-replacement-for" like "Cult Apothecary-would-maybe-find-a-place-in-my-deck-as-a-replacement-for-Antique Healbot".
I am not unhappy with cards getting weaker… I think I even made a post about that, about how it would make the game slower and less draw/RNG reliant, for instance. But please, Blizzard, give us something else than a vanilla-C'thun deck or unplayable legendaries and epics.
I see everybody trying to get ecstatic about each card released when they are simply not interesting. Just take a look upon every card that has been released and interrogate yourself about a few things:
1. Where would I play it? 2. Over what card would I prefer to play this card in this deck? 3. Would this card have a important impact on the 'economy' of my deck?
Some (many) people repeat, like some moutons de Panurge the fact all cards haven't been released and conclude that 'we can't talk about the cards until the full expansion is released blablabla'. No, I'm sorry, I did not need to have TGT completely released to know that cards like Poisoned Blade, Ice Rager, or Light's Champion were bad cards.
Some people talked about TGT as a failed expansion, really weak, etc. But just take the time to compare TGT cards with what is being released right now. The only class that did not get essential cards was the Warrior (Bash) but it got Justicar Trueheart.
I'm obviously not saying that the expansion will be a failure, but that so far, nothing tells me the contrary.

What does the bold mean? I've never heard someone talk about the "economy" of a deck. Do you have to calculate your deck's GDP or something?
It's a no win scenario, print cards that are matching in power or don't immediately swing the game and they are horrible, print crazy cards and people complain about power creep and OP level cards.
You might as well have said, why doesn't bliz make every card Dr. Boom. But it's really a deck building game. Single exodeous, blue eyes white dragon type cards aren't fitting in a game about deck building instead of top decking.
They also see a bigger picture. People have asked why Master of disguise is getting nerfed if no one plays it, which ignores the larger game space, because it would become broken with future releases.
Or in short, Bliz makes some odd decisions but they are actual game designers and know what they're doing.
Economy means here its structure, its organization. A concrete example: If you replace 2 River Crocolisks by 2 Flame Jugglers in a deck, the economy of the deck will be very slightly changed. But it you take out 2 Mysterious Challenger from a Secret Paladin deck to put in 2 Boulderfist Ogre, the economy of the deck will be completely refined.

The problem isn't simply that the revealed cards are bad, it's that they're boring and add nothing new or exciting to the game.

Add x/x to your C'thun, much interesting, such innovation, wow.
I'd like to think I'm one of those people that you're talking about. But you've most likely never seen anything I've posted

People who refuses to play aggro out of principle are even worse than people who play exclusively aggro.
One should seek to become a complete player and play all archetypes, including ones that he despises for whatever irrational reasons.
