In deck recipes, a clue has been found that may reveal nerds in the future. In some decks, an important card to that deck is missing. Ironbeak Owl is missing from Handlock. This is a surprise that it will be nerfed, but with it makes sense because, with the new cards, a turn 2 Silence is very powerful. A larger surprise was that FoN and SR were missing from all Druid decks. Blizzard has announced this before, but now we know that it will happen soon. All Druid combo haters like me will be very happy, but this will destroy most Druids. I predict that the nerfed card will be FoN because SR is essential to Zoo-like Druids. Blizzard probably does not want to ruin the Druid class, but must, so it is obvious that they will try to keep it alive. This can also show that many strong Druid cards and archetypes may come out in WOG. These nerfs will probably come with WOG and Standard. What are your thoughts to these clues?
BGH is in some decks despite likely being nerfed, maybe the deck recipes will be updated on WOG's release, if this is the case then these hints don't really mean anything. It's likely that the druid recipes don't contain force of nature because they don't want new players to know the card exists for everyone elses sake lol.
Ancient of Lore really wouldn't be nerfed. If you break it down into its component parts, it actually is fairly balanced.
Body is a 5/5
1 below 5 mana vanilla
Draw 2 cards
I think that is worth the extra cost (~2.5 mana)
Heal 5
Of all of it, I think this is the most likely to be "nerfed", probably down to 4. This would put it in the realm of Priestess of Elune, paying 1 mana more for +0/1 and the ability to heal a minion.

Wants to play Captain Cookie Druid because why not?

This makes more sense. I don't think they made these deck recipes considering upcoming nerfs.
The recipes are not optimal builds, so I don't think you can assume too much based off of them. There was a thread about this exact same thing yesterday I believe.
I have always loved how druids defend AoL and said that is just an ok card. It is the best 7 mana class minion, druid can play it earlier than anyone and basically any other class would run it if able in a midrange or control deck.
Is one of the best minions in the game. Not calling it OP, not calling for a nerf, but people always underestimate or maybe take for granted how good this card is.
i hope they won't nerf Ancient of Lore, that is like the core druid minion, which makes it possible to play mid-range to future control archetypes. I'm fine with Force of Nature nerf, so we can play more druid archetypes.
As you say the heal effect is overpowered but remember people choose draw 2 like 90 % of the time (even more OP). You also should cost in the flexibility of being able to heal or draw, making it powerful vs any matchup.
Druid was.my first golden hero, ill be sad to see the ancient go
How is the heal OP? Guardian of Kings has a better body, and stronger heal. So I think its within reasonable cost, and the Choose effect is the trade-off for the less 1 endurance and 1 point heal
As a Druid player, AoL is probably THE reason Druid is a thing, it's completely stupid. Think of what Kripp said: Ancient of Lore is like a Nourish that says: Draw 3 cards, one of them is a 2 mana 5/5.

OR compare to Azure Drake, getting 1 extra card for 2 mana, and +1/+1 instead of the dragon type and 1 spell damage, and because it's a class minion and not a neutral.
They are obviously going to change the Recipes when Standard comes, Old Murkeye is in the Recipes for a start. As are Knife Juggler and Savage Roar, both of which are likely candidates for nerf. I wouldn't be sad to see Owl get the nerf bat, though. As long as there aren't any sticky, small minions with death rattle in the new expansion then it will help nerf face decks.
As for saying nerfing fon/sr will destroy Druid, don't be ridiculous. That combo is a blight on the game. Removing it will enable varied Druid archetypes and I'm sure the new Druid cards will reflect the state of the class after the nerfs. For once, Druid will get good new cards! That applies to other powerful cards like AOL, too. No card is essential to a class.

From what I've seen, there's no Ancient of Lore Divine Favor Power Overwhelming Ice Block
Savage Roar IS in a deck recipe.
I returned to this game much like how a recovering alcoholic can relapse.

My custom classes : /// / My Card Factory!
Ancient of Lore has worse stats than Guardian of Kings and costs more than Shieldmaiden. It's heal is fine.
if a Druid picks the heal over the card draw it's because they're getting stomped anyway. The draw effect is much, much better.

MC, 6/6, 6 mana, draw 5 secret
AOL, 5/5, 7 mana, draw 2 card
Someone here say AOL is best 7 drop. Kappa
RNG love me Kappa
