Less likely than you think (or at least, it'll probably take a lot longer than you think) until discover becomes something ubiquitous, ways of refilling your deck become more common, or the deck size is increased, This is just a flat-out bad design decision based on how few cards are in the deck, doesn't matter if "literally every other card game" did it. It's just like how allowing powerful combo decks to stick around too long is not a good decision while they don't allow us to interact with our opponent's turn.
Edit: I will say I could see them doing something where you BOTH draw from the wrong deck, but nothing opponent-discard-oriented beyond mill for quite a while to come.
At any rate, set's fake, its from a day-old /r/customhearthstone post
Good find. So it is fake, but a good effort and I am getting more hyped now. I do hope they show off some of the anti-aggro cards they put in the new expansion.
The thing that makes me doubt this is the last card. "Discover an enemy whisper and destroy it." Assuming that because its a discover mechanic, it targets the deck, since otherwise it would be easier to simply have it be "Destroy all active Whispers" or "Destroy a random enemy Whisper" in a way similar to what Kezan Mystic does for secrets. And if it targets the deck, then it goes against Blizzards own way of designing.
Still, this is a cool concept.
This is a really good point... Do you think they'll ever go about designing cards that do something to the opponents deck? Or is the 30 card limit too low to be messing with it
I think the 30 card limit is what makes targeting the enemy deck a bad design choice. From what I played of Magic, they have a far bigger deck size as well as allow more than 2 copies of cards, which makes discarding a card far less impactful.
Cranial Extraction? :)
I agree that Blizzard doesnt want discard effects, this type of mechanic though interesting for a bunch of players tend to alienate the most casual players (vast majority of players in HS), and Blizz will not make a discard card, the same way the didnt a tier 1 mill deck and try (at least, officially) to limit combo impact.
Even without the confirmation that this is a fan creation, the language used is all wrong for Blizzard, both in the card text and the actual article/advert itself.
Fake (and probably it is) or not, it's interesting ideas, and we can assume we are getting something simular.
And I was thinking, if we get Whisper mechanic simular to fates in Taver Brawl, can you imagine what a mess will be if the meta game tillts to control and everyone plays at least 2 diferent Whisper effects? (we would have long games with mass of confusion) :D Just think about it.
One thing is for sure, the HYPE IS REAL! I feel like a teen girl on the night before Beetles's concert. :D

Fake or not it's good to tease the brain a little :D
if nothing, I like the creativity community can come up with! B)
Does it matter? Tomorrow we'll know for sure.

Greatness, at any cost.
