Just noticed, reading trough the blogg post again that you could click all the images. clicking on them brings up an image of the basic deck + 2 themed deck per class, but what cought my eye was the Custom Deck Slot. And whatever we will be able to do with that.
As a long time players who owns every card - this means nothing. Except for some new UI stuff to click on and take a look at.
For a new player though, this will be great! My brother has tried to get into Hearthstone, and just gets depressed about not knowing what deck to use or what cards to go after - this will give players like him something to work towards that may actually allow them to climb the ladder past rank 20. So, good deal - I like it.

If I'm getting THAT one, the idea is that you can plan out a future deck. So if I'm new, and I want to go make, say, an Aggro Shaman deck I found on hearthpwn, I could put it up in the custome slot, and it'll tell me what I currently have of that set and what I still need to work on to make it.
#*$)#9 if that thing had an import spot I could USE that come next expansion. Wait 2 weeks, pick up a deck I'm interested in, find out waht cards I'm missing, and craft those and boom, it's in.
Also curious if 'partial' decks would work in that slot. For example, if you have a deck with 20 slots you know about and 10 you fool around with, you could put the 'foundation' in that custom slot, then when I want to make a new deck grab the 'foundation' then put in the extra cards I want. If it doesn't work out, delete the deck, put the 'foundation' back in then retry. Makes for an easy way to 'tweak' decks.
hmmm. At worst, it's a great newbie tool to get started. At best it's something I didn't realize I wanted in the HS client.

Well played, Blizzard.
I am happy to see the amount of hype you have for it.. But as I said few post earlier it will provably just open up regular deck builder because this window will always be shown after you choose a class.. you have to get to regular deck building somehow.

awww :/. Oh well,
Still works out for new players, especially since it apparently will let you sub out cards with suggested options.
But yeah. if you haven't noticed, I'm got on the hype train. I'm allowed. I've already made my decisions on what to do, critiqued things, worried over things, and what not. So now I can indulge in some shameless Blizzard Marketing since they are now ramping up the push for the new expansion.
So yeah, Fan Mode turn on. All aboard the Hype TRAAAAAAIN!
So........unless you're a new player this feature will be pointless?
Besides, we all no the decks Blizzard will throw in that thing are going to be gimmicky and horrible. Seems like a waste of dev time. Hopefully new players can get some use out of it.

I returned to this game much like how a recovering alcoholic can relapse.
Have they talked about additional hero powers before? I think it would add a lot of diversity to the game. I was looking at the photo in the announcement and wondering why they would have a slot for your hero power if there isn't going to be more? Hoping this means its on its way

Actually you can check out 3 decks right now. If you go to Hearthstone main page and click on the deck pictures it will show what decks they are. The Control hunter deck seems pretty ok for standard.

Seems pointless to me. Sub-optimal decks for new players that probably don't have the cards to make the deck playable?
Y can't we just have unlimited deck slots? Seems far more useful. Or maybe when I have tons of time to play I only get 40g quests and when I don't really have time to play I only get 50g+ quests.
I really like this idea. As someone who isn't too great at building my own decks, I feel like having this option will help me make better decisions without making sure I'm running the exact cards pros are and things like that.
I remember when I started HS, right before Naxx and tried to make new decks and get destroyed even in casual. So I had to do some research and found this guy on Youtube named "Bog Otter" who had really good basic decks which got me some wins and started enjoying the game. It would have been nice to have this feature when I started.
And as an experienced player, sometimes you get daily quests like "Win 3 games with Shaman" which is a class I never play so I don't have any shaman deck and have to make an aggro shaman deck just to finish that daily. But now I can instead play one of the themed decks like murlocs, get my daily quest and have some fun experimenting with a solid deck.
It's great for new players, guys. Entering now to Hearthstone is quite confusing, you have 6 different sets, lots of cards. With these "recipes" newbies can discover new cards progressively, in a natural way. For veterans it's just garbage, but it doesn't matter right?
How would it help a newbie to know that there is an archetype known as Spellpower Rogue? Sure, I start playing Hearthstone, and immediately see those uncomplete decks that look like my first goal to achieve. So as a new player, I painfully grind to get the full deck, with Malygos and Bloodmage (two great, but VERY technical cards), and am awarded with a barely functinal deck in current meta.
I've introduced a few friends to HS. NOBODY was confused. Why should they be with a game this simple. Just get better cards, make a deck with some spells and some minions, don't forget about card draw and bam, suddenly a guy has a functional tempo mage/midrange hunter without even knowing about it. Introducing super technical decks as "2 uncomplete decks for each class you should aim to complete" is relatively pointless, and in many cases can actually harm a new player by giving him a false direction.
I just hope this won't be the equivalent of more deck slots. Or at least those "Brewed" decks will be able to be used as additional deck slots.

It helps in the aspect that now you have a best overview of things: "Ok now I can play this classic deck but in the future I can aim to this other type of deck", in contrast with what is now: "Take the classic deck and then make your deck or go outside and search internet". It's a good way to keep thinks inside the game a little bit longer for new players.
With confusing I meant the feeling of being overwhelmed by the amount of cards, that can lead to not even want to try out the game. It's good your friends didn't experimented it, but I know people that did.

Btw if there are 2 pre-made decks 1 for hunter HAS to be FaceHunter.. it would help new players understand what hearthstone is all about #Kappa.

I'm all for it.
If this can shorthand the use of external websites to compare what I have vs. what I need to make a deck this is extremely helpful.
However, if this is for New Players starting out in Casual(and only recipes can be played in casual) then that's just all the more fun!

I say well done Blizzard.
Come on blizz, don't waste time on things we don't really need - give us tournament mode, is it so hard?
