i will miss old hearthstone, because i expect them to nerf some archetypes into oblivion and that will effect wild as well. remember, they usually dont adjust cards, but make them unplayable.
and the upcoming standard will be a balance mess regarding classes.
I am certainly not going to miss the secret paladin.
Mech mage has been a pain in the ass for way too long and i am not sad to see it go. Its not a particularily unfair deck, but i dislike playing against it.
Combo druid. Quite possibly the strongest deck in the game for a long time now. It's going to suffer a little from the loss of shredders, but even so SR / FoN needs to have less impact than they currently do and im hoping Blizzard finds a way to balance it that doesnt destroy those cards completely, WSC style.
Apart from that, its mostly individual minions i am glad to see go away. Shielded Minibot, Haunted Creeper, Piloted Shredder, Nerubian Egg among others. I seriously hope Blizzard tones down the stickyness of minions in the future, and give minions more spectacular effects instead.
Sorry to splash cold water on the party, folks, but these decks aren't going anywhere. But Ogobum, aren't they losing key cards which will weaken them and make them unviable? Problem is, so are are all the other decks - no class exists in a vacuum
That's not really the case though. If we consider druid as a class. They are so heavily based in the classic set that they can function without expansions (They will probably get hit by some serious nerfs though, so who knows). The same goes for Handlock (which will probably get nerfed) and also for Rogue (which nobody really talks about and which probably also won't get any nerfs).
I think Rogue might be the big winner of the standard format. Have you seen the 'Curse Trials Tournament' which was run in a pseudo-standard format? Rogue decks, all from Violet-Teacher-Rogue to Miracle to Malygos-Rogue were doing phenomenaly good, because the departure of all the broken 2drops and deathrattle creatures benefits Rogue the most.

Yes, im currently climbing with a miracle rogue for the practice and its very good. Its going to be even better in the standard meta.
Combo Druid, Mech Mage, Mech Aggro Shaman, Freeze Mage, some variations of Control Priest, Face Hunter, and it will somewhat hinder Control Warrior.
I don't see Freeze mage going anywhere soon. the tools are all still there as part of the classic and basic sets.
The only possible way I see it not being viable is if Alexstrasza is nerfed
Mad Scientist.
Don't underestimate the 4x chance of drawing Ice Block. 25% of the games, both will be in the bottom 15. 12.5% of the games, both will be in the bottom 7 or 8.
the only viable druid deck is the one that has the Combo in it.
removing those two will erase the class, completely.
these words come from a druid fan who hate combo type of druid ... its just boring and has no fun in it not for player nor opponent .
but druid needs something viable to cling to it.
That just isn't true. Druid decks are functional without combo, you'd just be a fool to not put combo in because it's so powerful. But removing the combo doesn't ruin any of the deck's synergy. Once combo gets nerfed and the general power level of decks hopefully goes down, you can just slot in 2-4 other good cards instead and you've got a deck.

I am not joining this "glad to see it gone" train. I play lots of different decks and really don't despise any deck out there. They all have good/neutral/bad matchups. Also, saying a deck like secret paladin will be gone is pre-mature. There will be new cards in the expansion and some of they may help keep secret pally viable. Saying any deck will be gone is pre-mature at this point. Wait and see...
Why everyone think that Secret Paladin will die? Probably there will be new cool Paladin secrets in upcoming expansion!
Because every deck that had their key core gutted hasn't been able to recover to their old power. Exist, yes, but in a completely new style. Old shadowstep Miracle never revived. Old Patron can't find a new charge tool. The decks that 'recovered' losing cards were due to key cards remaining in their set.
Challenger is strong, but he can't win games alone. It's not the secrets that let the deck win. It's the Keeper into Minibot into Muster into Shredder into Loatheb into MC into Boom into Tirion. Of that, only 3 out of 8 remain, and their replacements aren't even CLOSE to the same staying power.
Secret may be able to survive, but it'll look nothing like what it does now and won't be near to the same power level. Worst case it remains viable enough to survive..one more year then MC is gone.
And that's if Blizzard doesn't deem cards like Juggler and Tirion as nerfable in Classic, which they might, especially juggler.
(merging two posts together. Sorry for the double post)
answering the OP:
All of them. I watched the curse trials, especially the later matches. It's made me very eager for Standard, especially when most of the remaining old decks that were big (combo druid mostly) may also get the smackdown.
So yeah. I want everything that's more than a year old to get the big heave ho, even decks that I like. Make everyone, including myself, come out of our comfort zones and forced back into the drawing board.
Secret pally mostly, I think most other decks are fine. I don't like Anyfin (due to it's retarded design, the deck sucks atm), but that one will survive.

I see no reason why Justicar and Reno specifically prevents Druids from being good. Druids have a good foundation without the combo, and the combo doesn't really synergise with the rest of the ramp deck. It's just a powerful combo tacked onto an already decent deck. When standard comes out the removal of Naxx and GvG will lower the power levels of the decks and combo-less ramp druid will (hopefully) be a strong deck. Or some other Druid archetype. Of course we cannot say anything for sure because we have no idea what the next expansion will bring.

Combo druid & Secret Pally - bye! Hope combo dru gets nerfed hard so that druid has other possibilities and diverse options, not so that the class dies. There are so many possible ways to play druid, but none are utilized, since you have the easymode combo.
Sure, secret pally are annoying, but easy to counter or at least play around their strengths is not that hard.
Those who complain about secret pally but not combo druid... must not have played a secret pally. Combo druid is such an easy deck with innervates and ramp, a joke.
Reno Jackson is certainly weaker against burst decks, such as combo Druid.
Any deck which can kill from 14 life (or higher with minions on board) requires you to use Reno while your life score is quite high, meaning that the life gain will be much lower than against decks which lower your life score in a more predictable fashion.

Secret pally is both stronger and far easier to play than combo-druid.
I know people like to strut around saying things about combo-druid, because tempo-storm has decided to put them at top tier for some weeks straight, but it doesn't really take much playing to realize what a crop of BS that is. Secret pally can even tech easily for pretty much any meta.

Im sure that is why every competitor at tournaments bring combo druid. It just isnt that good. Pfft...
Even though it's not too powerful, I hate mill Rogue. Usually it doesn't work but when it does it's really painful to play against. With Healbot/Deathlord gone it won't exist anymore.
Brings up a good point. Let's assume the new expansion slows the game down... hopefully this does not allow mill rogue to come back because I agree with you.. such an annoying style to play against.

I'll personally be glad to be see Tempo mage get a slight change, because Flamecannon and Unstable Portal give me nightmares.

Secret Paladin and Combo Druid, my two most hated decks right now. I really like the Druid class though, and hope that the ramp archetype comes back.
I wish Valeera had tentacles for arms

No, the damage increases linearly, not exponentially.
Secret Pally as every one :D
