I don't believe the Whelps should get frozen, but cards that have more than one effect, such as Blizzard with damage+freeze will sometimes create weird situations as the game engine doesn't always sequence the effects as a normal human brain would.
As soon as the eggs take damage, they spawn the whelps (so do Imp Gangboss and Patron). After that, all the minions get frozen, including the spawned ones. And after that, the minions with 0 HP will die, so if your nerubian egg wouldn't have had a buff, the 4/4 Nerubian could have attacked.

If the Nerubian egg died, i believe the 4/4 nerubian could have attack and not freeze, as deathrattle happen after everything.
But i also believe Imp gangboss, patron, dragon egg, who spawn minion should not be freeze as well.
This is because the Spell read, Deal 2 dmg to all enemy minion and freeze them (which, from my understanding, only minion dmg by this spell is freeze, the Imp gangboss, patron, dragon egg although simultaneous spawn minion, but did not receive dmg)
Unless i misinterpreted the spell reading, i think they should change the wording to 'deal 2 dmg to all enemy minion and freeze them after that.

Exactly this. The damage and freeze part don't happen simultaneously, and stuff can happen between them.

i see, i read the spell as Deal dmg AND freeze them (i have the impression it happen simultaneously) But your explanation is Deal dmg first, freeze after. Did anyone checked with blizzard before? or maybe its just me, poor understanding in english (not my main language).
It's just simple order of things. Here is how it works out: Player casts a blizzard which states deal 2 dmg; after then freezes. Hearthstone mechanics only allow 1 thing to go "on the screen/mechanic wise" at the time. So, it deals 2 dmg to all, and while doing that it triggers eggs (dragon eggs) which spawn whelps (since game deals damage to minions from left to right, not all at the same time). After whelps are spawned and "deal 2 dmg to minions" is over, then the freeze effect takes place. All should be fine, unless deathrattle minion was frozen after the spell was cast as deathrattle happens after whole cycle is over. But as far as I can see on that image, the nerubian egg wasn't popped, so it remained frozen as it was supposed to be.
I hope this clears some things for you guys and helps you in your future HS experience ;)
The text says: "Deal 2 damage to all enemy minions and Freeze them". So you could read "Deal 2 damage to all enemy minions and Freeze all enemy minions " . And yes, These are two different effects that take place one after the other. In game mechanics, it's bad luck that the damage causes other effects which then are on the field before the second part of the spell's effect resolves. But if you really need a (more or less) logical explanation, just imagine that first there are ice rocks causing damage, and after that an ice wind will freeze everything. Anyway, now you know how it works and you can plan with it.
I'm not sure but I think Bli$$ard said this was intended, not a bug.
If it is intentional, then it is stupid design. You freeze the minions by damaging them. A minion is frozen from getting hit by a giant ice shard and not by walking in on the field half an hour later, seeing all his frozen comrades and deciding that he doesn't want to stick out so he licks on the ice and freezes himself.
Does touching an ice cube make you freeze? They don't get frozen because of the damage but because it's cold.
zoo v mage turn 6 it is win or lose. 1 1 imp means a lot.
yeah had this yesterday with my imp gang boss. why is the new 1 1 not damaged if it is frozen? I assume it is like getting hit with water elemental or frostbolt. they do not freeze the newly spawned imp.
you would need to cast 4 frostbolts to kill 2 4 imp gang boss, 2 for the minion itself, and 2 for the 2 spawned imps. they should have two animations, one of frostbolts falling and one of frost nova hitting after. Cone of cold does 2 things at the same time.
Just small change in the writing is what they need to do

Well here's the thing. It's not specifically the ice that's the only thing freezing you. It'd mainly be the lack of heat caused by the ice. Meaning that it would be possible for someone to walk into the area just seconds after the blizzard, when it's still really cold, and be frozen due to that.

probably peer pressure too. everyone is frozen so you do not want to be left out. by that logic your opponent's cards should be frozen too, i mean they as far away from the blizzard as the new minion

Yeah, even on rare occasions your minions get frozen too. Like you said, none of them want to feel left out. I guess it's just one of those things. First your opponent gets frozen, then their minions, then suddenly everyone wants to get in on it. Who are we to ruin their fun?
The best explanation for the way this works it's that they are a bunch of lazy idiots making the game, and they will make just as much money having stupid crap like this happening add they would if they took the time to fix it.

At the same logic, flamestrike, which is twice as hot (4 damage) should burn the leftovers too.

Hi, i am puzzle by the outcome of this spell, Reference: Blizzard
I have 5 minion on board, Nerubian Egg, 2 x Dragon Egg, Azure Drake, SI:7 Agent.
So the enemy cast blizzard, the 2 dragon egg receive dmg and spawn 2 whelp,
the rest of the minion was 'Freeze' after receiving dmg, including the nerubian egg which got a hp buff previously.
HOWEVER, the whelp was also freeze, without taking dmg.
Edit: Thanks, i can upload now. :)
