I am a scrub and will remain a scrub, but still, I have got a lot of fun playing this game. However, there are days, where I lose 5 or 6 games in a row.
Most of the time I play midrange decks, like Mid Hunter or Paladin. When I start losing, I switch to aggro and keep on losing. Then, out of desperation, I choose to construct a control deck. From this moment on, I am doomed.
In conclusion, instead of sticking to one deck, I start switching decks and then I tilt....
If you ever browsed the forums, I'm sure you've seen a comment like this: "Don't switch decks", "take a break, go outside", etc.
You should always play what you're the most confortable with. Otherwise it'll suck. You're losing with one gameplan, and then you change the gameplan to take back those losses only to realize you fucked up again and it goes on...
You know the answer, just adapt your decks to the meta you're facing the most, and don't use the exact same copy you see everywhere.

I know, that you have the truth of this and I am quite certain, most people with a certain understanding of statistics will second this, knowing about card-games and its appertaining drawing probabilities. But, as always, there is a human factor involved and some decks ask for a stringent game-play. But, again, if you do not draw into your combo, you are dead
2. Funny thing is people only get salty when they lose. Why not get salty when you win? Let me explain. Are you sure you played well when you won? You could have played lousy and because of your deck choice, opponent sucking or pure RNG won. What I am getting at, always know your position, why did you win or why did you lose. That way you will improve.
Today I lost 4 games in a row. I was playing zoo and I lost to 3 priests and an Elise Warrior. Should I be mad? No, they are all counters to what I play. If I lose vs 4 secret paladins in a row playing my zoo with double argent squire and double sea giant, then I should question the way I play because I am favourable against them.
So I know where I stand.
3. If you feel there is something wrong with your play, find a pro or high level streamer that plays your deck and learn from them.
Reason for losing streaks is the same reason for winning streaks..... the game is pretty much entirely luck and nothing else. It's good at creating the illusion of strategy but what you do on any given turn makes close to no difference to winrates in the grand scheme of things.
If that were true we'd all be pro's, or rather none of us would!! Maybe I should ask Ostkaka or FireBat there opinion on it?
Exactly what you've said - tilting! That I think is the number one factor. I'm sure all of us have lost 5 games in a row and some of the time it's RNG that plays a factor in it. The most important thing is to just laugh it off and move onto the next game and not panic/tilt. One of the best players that I've seen do this is Brian Kibler. There have been many a game that I've seen, where he'll have a good laugh and say well played then move on. If you think you may be tilting, you probably are! The best thing then is to take a break and remember it's only a game, not a struggle for world domination!
#1 Thinking ur better then u actually are and believe u deserve to have a better win rate, when u should be glad for the win rate u already have :) (dont take it personally, just something that a lot of ppl could think about :))
I mainly lose because my opponent plays cards that win the game. Kappa. But in seriousness i usually have a limit to where if i lose three in a row then I switch up decks and keep doing so till I find one that works well. Luckily I have not been on a huge losing streak so far.
Lucky you! My highest losing streak was 14 in a row....I smashed the keyboard thrice! Tilting is not only a problem here, it is my main weakness, as I tilt for things others would laugh about. Apparently, I need some anger management.
Ah man I wish I knew! Yesterday I was stomping on crotches and today well, I'm the crotch... But you can't win 'em all. Although sometimes it feels like you can't even win one.
Worth noting that even some of the 'pro' streamers sometimes go through bad patches and get less than 50% win rates with some decks.

Skill is in the very least spot in this game, if you suck with the very first two or three the game's basically already decided.

What are your explanations? I am very curious.

Feel free to PM me for help or advice.
You get angry -> you can't think clearly or consentrate -> you lose -> you get angry -> repeat.
If you lose with any kind of deck ? Bad Play most probably, sorry.

choose a deck that suits your playstyle... If you are comfortable playing agro dont build control warrior!
Make sure you are fully concentrated on the game, dont get distracted.
Gain experience with many different decks, so you will know what your opponent will play.
To live is to suffer, to survive is to find meaning in the suffer!
Tilt, leading to more poor play.
Secret Pally.

I drink when I play after work. My play deteriorates very rapidly.

Skill matters very little. Time matters most.
so where is the skill in drawing cards, bad rng, bad starting hand, love?
