I can only imagine you weren't playing at the time, as there's nothing players could "do" against the Buzzard+Unleash combo hunters. Literally nothing.
Kind of like there's literally nothing you can do about Standard format.
Time to quit Hearthstone or accept the change. Those are your options. Please pick one.
OMG. So everyone should accept everything thats coming upon him? Thats a dumb way to live your life... sry. Accept or Leave, no I rather fight and question the things that bother me.
Of course there is nothing we can do. But at least we can point out, that what they are doing is wrong. There are plenty of things happening, that are wrong, but no one can do something about them. At least we have the freedom to point out, that WHAT THEY ARE DOING IS WRONG!
Until it has been released, there is no way you know what they're doing is wrong, unless you're psychic, in which case you would have predicted this change long before they even announced it.

On a serious note. I can't even comprehend how some of the people are blind to evidence and straight up facts. Cognitive dissonance created by by blizzard is so strong this time that people can't even comprehend the terms such as majority/minority, required/needed, will do/won't do.
The majority of users are low paying users. If you tell them to F off, you lose a lot of revenue. Insane ammounts are also gained from high paying users, and if you tell those off, you're going to lose a lot, too. What's left is mid-paying users who literally don't care as the one poster in this thread replying to every argument with "I don't care". And they aren't the ones bringing in the most profit as a group. But hey, what's a better way to tell poor people you're better than them other than constantly donating to blizzard and getting f'ed in the arse for it :^))
When you dump something down the toilet it disappears while still existing in the sewers. Welcome to Wild mode, "it's not like they took our cards away".

And you never know. Maybe a Dev reads it and considers it.Saying nothing would be absurd. The lengthiness of this thread shows that the topic matters.
If you honestly believe your complaints can make a difference -- if you honestly believe Blizzard never thought of any of these arguments and had absolutely no idea people would be miffed about the changes -- then you are still barking up the wrong tree when you post your complaints here. The appropriate outlet for your venom thoughtfully considered suggestions is the Blizzard forum.
Hearthpwn is where players go to interact with other players. Blizzard forums are where players go to interact with other players and Blizzard developers. It's a pretty important distinction

In the last month (SINCE KNOWING ABOUT THESE CHANGES), I've spent at least a hundred bucks on this game. Like I've said before, and I'll keep fucking saying, IF YOU SPEND MONEY IN A FREE TO PLAY GAME THAT IS YOUR FUCKING CHOICE, YOU FUCKING RETARD.
You would go buy a game the day of release at full price and then demand a refund when it goes on sale 2 years later, wouldn't you?
No, but if I suddenly can't use a GameMode like it was said unlesss I buy new stuff, then yes, I should have this right. o.O
And please you don't need to insult annyone.
p.s: Im sorry for you that you needed to spend so much money the last months, but thanks! Thanks to you I can play it for free. :)
You still can use all the game modes you could use until now. There is no game mode you "suddenly can't use". End of story. There is a new game mode which also you will be able to use. So there is no need at all to refund you for any thing. And you're not a sweet little baby girl who actually gets a Lollipop when she cries, although you behave like one. Since you seem having a hard time grasping this concept, I'll burn it down for you to a simple choice: Play the game or don't.
Btw. it's kind of hilarious that people like you call Blizzard greedy (to which I can agree to a certain extent) when it turns out that you didn't buy anything for real money but want a refund for the stuff you didn't buy. Hm, let me think, how would I call a guy who want's to get every single penny (he is not entitled to) out of a situation.... oh yes, that's it: Greedy!
And no, your time playing this game is not worth a dime.

He called me an aspie first, so I will insult him all I want.
Of course there is a GameMode i can't use the Cards I bought in anymore, because now i can compete for BlizzCons with them and soon I won't be able too. Nothing of that was said, then I bought them. Not even a clue was hinted towards that. If they would have announced back in Sept, that a Meeting will be held with the topic of Rotation/Formats/PowerCreep, then many People, who bought Naxx a few weeks ago, would have not bought it, but instead they would have bought BrM or spend the money on TgT.
I mean Blizzard could have said from the very beginning, that Rotation and Formats might come to HS sooner or later, but *laugh* they would admit that from the very beginning they were sure that they could not handle the powercreep. No multi million dollar company would admit that. Who would say, that they will lose, before they have actually lost, no one of course.
I bought the last 4 Wings of BrM with money.^^ I don't want any Refund, but of course I wouldnt mind either. ;) I had my fun and it certainly gave me back the money (in gold/dust/fun) I spend since I bought Naxx, because I was able to use it almost a whole year. Its just about the people, who bought them a few weeks before the announcement. The people who couldnt use it to make some gold with it. Of course they can still use them in Wild and make their Gold there, but yeah, have fun against Secret Paladin with non nerfed Cards. There was this glime hope of a Nerf for Mysterious Challenger, but now with Rotation why should they. Its just one year until it rotates out.
Blizzard should either allow you to disenchant for full cost all GvG and Naxx cards you want since you paid real money. It is as simple as that. But noooo then you would pay a lot less.. they adjust the game to attract always new users, but milk out old users anyways
At least if they would take back all the attacks they did on wild mode: unbalance, old sets out of shop, lack of official tournaments and your wild rank not showing in your friend list then.. at least you could eagerly wait to see if wild is unexpectedly fun and competitive
As it is , blizzard is scamming us
I don't agree with you at all. If they allowed that, they would lose tons of money.
I don't like most aspects of the change. But I also recognize that we can't possibly know how it will play out until it is actually implemented. At the same time the format change goes into effect an entire new set will be released. So there will be a lot to puzzle out.
My solution to to wait before rendering final judgement. Meanwhile I've stopped spending any money at all on Hearthstone and only play for light entertainment when the mood strikes me.
The key factor for me when the new set releases is whether Wild is fun and entertaining to play for a fairly casual player. If it's no fun or if it's dominated by decks only accessible to those who spend big bucks and have all the card then I'm gone for good.

Yes, they would lose this time a lot of money, but it would only be this one time. So he is right, then he says Blizzard is scamming us, because they are already doing a shit load of money and don't want to lose a bit of it in favor of the loyal Players, whom without HS wouldnt be where it is now.
This. They're milking us in every way they can.

When you dump something down the toilet it disappears while still existing in the sewers. Welcome to Wild mode, "it's not like they took our cards away".
Man, judging by Internet comments the Blizzcon 2016 HS championship will have to be cancelled because nobody was able to buy / grind the new expansion to compete in standard.
Spending money on video games is not an investment.
that's correct but cut OP some slack here.. he meant spent. Blizzard is trying to scamm us by totally changing a product we paid for and forcing us to pay a lot more if we intend to use it the way we did when we paid
Scamming? All you were offered for paying for new packs, was that you get some cards, which you did. Where exactly is the scam? As in every (real) free to play game, you just spent money for getting somewhere faster than without spending money. You only paid for accelerated use of content, nothing else. Why should anyone ever refund an acceleration of use for anything?
You didn't pay for a product at all, but instead for easier/faster use of the product (most common perception mistake in free-to-play games). The product (Hearthstone) is available no matter how much you spend on it.
In addition, why should I cut OP some slack for spending more than 600€ on animations (only so that stuff is moving that usually doesn't move) within a free to play game? That is just bad money management at its worst in my opinion.
I don't like most aspects of the change. But I also recognize that we can't possibly know how it will play out until it is actually implemented. At the same time the format change goes into effect an entire new set will be released. So there will be a lot to puzzle out.

I've made common-only decks for every class that work pretty well against high cost decks and are able to win against them fairly easily. They actually need the wild format, because GvG introduced a huge amount of high quality common cards. In standard my F2P improved Starter basic only priest deck will be even stronger than it is currently, and it is a 0 cost deck. You definitely don't need money to succeed in Hearthstone, just a little bit of patience.
i meant you should recognize that OP made a poor syntax choice. The word may be 'spent' not 'invested'
And regarding your conception of product.. well consider that when we pay we get a receipt describing what we bought. Every sellable item this game has follows standard software commercial rules. So each of them is a product. The fact that you can have the same product by spending time in the game does not mean that your purchase was an "acceleration" , it's only a different currency
I dont think it's a matter of opinion here, you think that most have a misconception of f2p essentially because .. they are right ;) take no offense please.
So again, we paid for a product that was completely changed without warning at purchase time. Also, they had a policy of full value dust disenchat that they are not offering in this case. As it is today, it is a scam.
Again, here are some ideas blizzard could implement to not scam us:
1) Allow full dust disenchat of Naxx and GVG cards. Or at least golden ones. It could also be for players who paid real cash only 2) Not remove Naxx and GVG from the shop, offer them at discounted prize instead. And make wild rank the main rank if you wish to (show in friend list and questlog). This could make wild more competitive 3) Balance wild THIS SPRING together with basic+classic sets. We dont want Dr 6, Dr 7, unstable portal, imp-losion, Piloted shredder as they are today. Together with this: organize Wild tournaments , of course with less prizes than standard, but official and advertised.
In my opinion the product itself wasn't changed at all, basically the same old Hearthstone you have had, you will have in wild mode, so that is just a renaming. In addition you get the Standard mode as well. You still have every single pack you purchased and adventure as well (as long as you purchased the first wing of Nax you still get the whole content). You didn't pay for the ability to purchase GvG packs, you actually purchased GvG packs (you still have those). You didn't pay anything for the ability to purchase Naxxramas, you actually purchased Naxxramas (you still have the adventure). So as I see it, your base product wasn't changed at all, instead you get additional content to it.
Based on this view, Blizzard actually added content for free, which is the exact opposite of a scam.
For me it would only be a scam if Blizzard actually deleted the GvG and Naxxramas content along with the Wild mode and only then the demand for full disenchant value would be justified.
Not a single listed point affects teh use of your cards. Blizzard is free to change the rules for their tournaments as they see fit. If you are unable to meet their requirements, you are simply not good enough. Blizzard can also change the GUI of their game as they want to.If they wouldn't show your rank at all, you wouldn't be entitled to any refund either. You just make weird connections that do not affect your cards at all, because you feel you should be entitled of something since you obviously can't cope with changes. When you bought the cards it was nowwhere stated that you will be able to use them in all eternity for anything they will implement. And they cannot influence your weird imagination what you are thinking you are entitled to if you buy a product. Simple as that.
I could understand you if Blizzard took out wild completely, because then you actually couldn't use the cards in PvP. But they don't.
Here is what you can do: You can stop using the game. And then you can see if that influences Blizzard. Good luck.
In the future, you better read the End User License agreement (with which you fully agreed to acccept whatever blizzard will do with the game).

but you can use the golden naxxramas and gvg cards in a year or not? because they will than be played in standard, no?
