I humbly request a one time full dust disenchanting option. From now on, it will be clear, that the new expansion will rotate out. Otherwise I'm not sure if I can trust them any more, which will result in playing hearthstone full free. I know this probably still will be in their interest, but I hope it is not and they will show they community, that they will give in on this request. Many other players will feel the same.
So what would happen to the people that disenchanted cards a week ago? Completely screwed?
It's not really possible for Blizzard to make it "fair" when the whole game system is changing. Someone will always end up with the short end of the stick.
When I bought cards they had a premise that when cards are changed full dust refund is given. That's what I expect.
If someone disenchanted a week ago, yes they didnt do it when the card was changed. Just as if I disenchant today.
Blizard deceived us. Thus the disapointment
The cards aren't being changed.
A closer comparison would be to how players with full golden patron decks got screwed with 0 refund when warsong commander was nerfed. Zero refund was given because their cards themselves were not changed even though a core mechanic that directly impacted their deck was changed.
Huh, what? When Warsong Commander got destroyed you could disenchant it for full dust value, normal or golden.
The cards are being changed in that they now all have a secret, hidden text "Cannot be played on Normal Mode", which is a pretty big as fuck nerf if you ask me. They should let us have a full refund for a limited time now, especially since they declared in the past that this sort of thing wouldn't happen at all "We don't want people to feel their collections became worthless", which is exactly what happened.

Warsong commander is a basic card, you can't disenchant it.
Many players playing patron felt their deck became completely worthless (or not fun) because they only crafted the deck because they liked the surprise aspect of it. They wern't able to get any dust back.
Dust refunds happen when cards change, visible changes that affect the cards power. No hidden ninja changes with illuminate conspiracys behind them that make them unplayable.
Blizzard never said the game will stay the same and if u thought so, it was ur mistake. They could have been more specific about their future plans? sure
U pay to play the game the devs make. If u dont like it anymore or a part of it u cn complain all u want n stop playing. none forces u to play.
Also hiding behind ur money spend to craft golden cards is wrong. u didnt just spend them for crafting goldens. You spend to get the new cards fast also, increase collection and more. And those translate in other game benefits too. There r so many things that money represent in hs services.
Now for all those complaining for spending money n their money going to waste i say this. If you still keep playing the game after ur idea of being "robbed" by blizzard, u obviously had a pretty satisfying experience playing the game thus far so ur money was well spend.
Final verdict=Blizz could have done something to warn maybe players for upcoming changes earlier or something along those lines but still the whole refund thing is wrong.
I made the same 'mistake' so to speak, expecting the NAXX cards to be used for at least another year or two. I crafted most NAXX Cards gold, and I absolutely understand the pain. Yet reworked Classic Cards are able to be disenchanted for full value.
This double standard set upon NAXX and classic cards placed players whom purchased the NAXX expansion under unfair treatment.
I concur and request for a fully-compensated disenchantment option.
The reason why our Classic cards that get nerfed can be full disenchanted is that you'll never ever be able to use the original card we got, whereas the Naxx stuff is still the same card you crafted.
Your cards arent going away, they'll be available in wild format.
For the game to remain healthy there was no other way to go about things, and people like you should accept this fact.
What you (and everyone) should be asking/pushing is for Blizzard to make wild format the best it can be.
I really dont care so much for people who cry for "investing" (lol) money in the game as much as for a new player who might be playing for a few months and soon see his first legendary not be playable in standard. The supreme majority of the people who invested money can easily have the cards to make good decks for Standard the exact momment when the format is released. For this reason maybe blizzard should give everyone free ~2k dust, just this one time.
Since all the people are constantly repeating the mantra of "there was no other way", "MTG does it so it must be gods will" and other bullshit over and over again without actually using their brain I am going to make a list now that I can copy paste all over, to save time:
This game is not MTG. Mtg does Standard mode, since it is a PHYSICAL CARDGAME. There you cant buff/nerf cards easily. So it makes sense to do this in MTG but not HS that is DIGITAL ONLY!
Instead of Standard mode we could have monthly buffs and nerfs. Since this is a DIGITAL card game, blizzard could have solved a lot of MTGs problems by simply BUFFING and NERFING cards. But instead they went the "basically ban" route from the beginning (I mean Warsong Commander might as well say: can not be played now) So we don't even know how this game might look like if there was someone in charge that can do slight stat adjustment on a regular basis.
ALL HS expansions so far are intertwined and cant be simply ripped out without leaving an unplayable mess. All I need to say is Gorillabot A-3. There is no point in getting rid of 2 expansions when EVERY SINGLE expansion has been made to synergize with the previous and next ones. Expansions would have needed to be made in a way so that they are enclosed in themselves so they don't invalidate the next expansion if they leave rotation.
There are plenty of ways Standard could have been implemented differently. They could only ban certain cards and not entire sets. Or ban sets but convert key cards that are important to basic set. Or they could throw all now important cards into a new "basic" set which then would be the set that stays for ever.
Wild mode will not be balanced, watched or played. It is basically a bigger brawl mode. Right after release people will still play wildmode but after a few expansions there will be more and more people that dont have ALL the cards, so wild will become a no go area. Just like Deck construction brawls are unplayable now for new players if they require some really aweful niche card that no one ever uses.
Standard will also be the only mode that is allowed for tournaments, gives points or is displayed to your friends etc. So much for "we care for both modes". No, Wild is clearly second typ citizen and will be treated as such.
If a new player wants to play Naxxramas encounters he can no longer buy them... and subsequently there is no guarantee that blizzard will allow players that already own Naxx to play them for ever or if shut it down to save server capacity.
People may refer to a "rotation" but infact your cards are GONE. Maybe in the future you will get a 3/3 mech that restores 8 to your hero again... doesn't mean that you can use healbot though. You will have to buy a SECOND healbot and play with that one instead. But in wild you now an have an ultra heal deck with 4 healbots. But I guess that is not a "1-2 turn kill combo" so blizzard doesn't give a shit about balancing something like that.
Balancing as a whole will probably cease to exist (even more than currently). Why would Blizzard bother to nerf cards now? Not only in wild but in standard? They just need to WAIT a year and they are gone anyway. That is about the time frame Blizzard takes to nerf stuff anyway, if ever. So did you enjoy waiting 8 months for Undertaker nerf? Have fun with stuff like that x10.
Arena is going to stay unbalanced as ever. They cant even be arsed to balance wild. So why would they ever bother with card rarities or class balance in this mode? Just Paladin and mage forever. Not to mention that broken combos that can occure in wild might even be worse in Arena (Murloc Knight and Kvaldir Raider are cards that on their own win games in arena for example).
Finally If you want to compare this game so badly with other games, then how about League of Legends instead? Both are F2p,in both you collect something (champions/cards), both are probably biggest of their genre and mostly they are both DIGITAL. So what would be if LoL were to ban all older champions form ranked solo Q? You cant play with all your champions you bought skins (golden cards) for competitively any more. But I guess you can play twisted treeline if you are a masochist. But even then you cant really play for long, since the new champions from the new set are not balanced to be beaten with your old ones, so you can't really play there either. Suddenly Standard does sound kinda like a scam doesn't it? Unlike HS, LoL does balance and update older champions, game mechanics, runes, talents, basically EVERYTHING in the game. Don't you think that blizzard could do some buffs end nerfs instead of just banning everything.
So if people please could give some actual good arguments for standards as opposed to copy pasting the same "but but MAGIC does it" over and over again, that would be nice.
Wow a sane person who isn't brainwashed and can look at things logically? Thank you, and this is a brilliant post.
What is absolutely appalling, is people are applauding being scammed and on top of that jumping on people upset they spent money to get certain cards. Fuck other card games, everything blizzard has said to this point is they don't want people to feel cheated that they crafted/grinded/spent money for certain cards. They are contradicting it, with this very change. When they change it to $100 monthly subscription, idiots will cheer that too.
So many idiots confusing digital formats for their real life counterparts.

Whatr gets me is that people are whining BEFORE the changes have evven come out.. Seriously, until you know 100% what is going on (which we don't, because even I'm confused after watching Ben's video. and I have a VERY high IQ), stop whining and wait.
I quit hearthstone! So I don't have a pony in the race, but it's obvious that wild mode is a joke. New players can't get Naxx cards at all, so they CAN'T play it. It's a dead mode already. It only makes sense to refund gvg and naxx cards for full dust value. Because those cards are literally unplayable.
Full refund of dust investment in NAXXRAMAS cards is only fair.
Indeed, they are going to make adventure cards craftable. Therefore, people having crafted golden adventure cards paid two times.
Why?Because they would not have buy Naxxramas but would just have crafted the golden cards.
I personally have crafted some golden Naxx cards months ago but also some days ago (like Nerubian Egg). Golden commons, rares and epics do not give enough dust back when dissenchanted. I crafted cards like Duplicate recently because I thought I could play them as I want. Like many, I'm not interested by a golden card only playable in Wild format.
I crafted some GvG golden cards too, but I'm not asking for a full refund of these cards because I could also have gotten 'em through packs…

Yeah, why would you ever protest against an unfair thing BEFORE it is going to set in place and be completely unchangeable from that point on. Also constantly pointing out that you have a high IQ just shows how much of an arse you are. IQ scores are meaningless and only evaluate the ability of pattern recognition for the most part.

They can craft them
But how much money and time does someone have to invest in the game to collect enough dust for all relevant GvG and Naxx cards? They could just lower the prices of old expansions instead.
I my opinion the boss fights should be free now with no rewards. And the cards are ok being craft-able. Allowing content to be purchased that isn't used for standard mode is just asking to be bombarded by refund request.
Why? You could still use them in wild :)
At least that is what everyone tells me.........

Yes you could but lets be honest people are greedy and lie all the time. You could easily get 30 packs of GVG once the formats are out but if the packs are average or bad you could just go to blizzards blue page(or whatever is called) and say '' Hey I am a mostly a standard format player but when making the last purchase I accidentally clicked on the wrong packs and hallway thru opening them I realized my mistake. Since I mostly play standard and don't care for wild that much it would appreciate it if my last purchase would be refunded and the cards i got subtracted from my account since I have no use of them.''
Now imagine this a few hundred times a day? They probably would have to agree to some request since it was their decision to keep packs in shop that aren't used in official tournaments and events.
Yup, and this would also raise the ignore rate from Blizzard's customer service department.

I suppose you're joking here, why should Blizzard be accountable for the stupidity of players?
They should only refund when things happen on THEIR side, like relegating a million cards (golden and not) into sewer Wild mode.

Why fix something that isn't broken. It's not like they can keep balancing the game with some many rng effects forever while producing more cards every year. If they have to keep balancing the old stuff it will cut into their time to develop new content especially since with every release you need a longer time to balance the old cards.
Again, are you kidding or something? Blizzard takes something between 4 to 8 months before they nerf things. They're slow AS FUCK, already doing the least possible and only after people complain for half a year and more. With the game being entirely digital it would be really easy just to fix the REALLY harmful cards (dr.boom, shredder, mysterious challenger) but they're so damn lazy that they prefer to invalidate the entire expansion rather than dynamically fixing things (a feature they talked about a lot when launching the game).

Actually Warsong commander is part of the basic set, so it cant (and couldnt) be disenchanted.
