Wild Mode will slowly became unplayable. Most of new cards will be broken if you consider synergies of all sets. It is on the blog, the developers will not care about synergies with non-Standard sets.
I think standard will become the only way to play the game in any sort of balanced way. If new cards are disregarding older sets, that means in wild many things will be straight up broken.
In the short-term, I don't have much confidence for them to have a balanced Standard format initially. But long term, they're calling it "Wild" for a reason. Design will be focused on the standard format, and Wild will be given no attention to balancing.
SMOrc, no more thinking, heal taunt cheat, cheat go away, now finally show skill; STANDARD GOOD SMOrc
No really, i will play Wild Mode. It will be less balanced, but i can use my full collection. And Standard simply removes all protection from facehunter and aggro we had from the game, and since most aggro-cards are in classic, the game might be a SMOrcfest if they don't change quite a lot of classic-cards. Wolfrider, Arcane Golem, Leeroy are still available. Leeroy was nerfed and quite balanced, but without the best taunts available, the problem is that face-decks will simply overrun the meta.
Standard might be supported, but rewards stays the same in both modes, except that the upper 1% does not receive World Championship Points in Wild Mode. And sadly nearly all e-sports event will only show standard mode. But maybe this makes events that feature Wild Mode more spectacular.
I dont see any problem on balancing Wild: they can do the same until now: wait one or two years, the OP Card rotates out of Standard and then it keeps on Wild, if it keeps dominating, nerf it, since it wont matter on Standard anymore and Wild wont be that unbalanced.

I think that cards in standard might even become much more conservative than now. Simply because Blizzard is no longer admitted to create a Dr. Boom 7 mana 8/8 that summons 2 2/2 boom bot that does 2-8 damage to a random enemy to be useful. So i don't think that they want to broke wild mode, heck they might even balance it more. They want standard to be more balanced, so adding a new dr. boom is undesired.
Will it make Wild mode more unstable? Yes, but even there they might fix it if something becomes too unbalanced. Blizzard NEVER said that they don't want to make Wild Mode Broken or only balance standard mode, they only want that they can focus on a more limited card set to balance, not that they make an card that makes Wild Mode completely broken.
But in the end i will still play wild mode, BECAUSE there might be some combinations with older cards that makes it funny to interact with.
standard because i m tired of healbots , sludge belchers and dr booms everywhere
Spoken like a true face hunter!
what make you think that people playing only one hero? i have all heroes to level 60 , i play anything i m just tired of knowing exactly what neutral cards someone is running before even the match start...put some fucking creativity in your decks
Oh sorry haha it sounded like you were a rush deck player, but I do agree with you 100% about the lack of creativity in the game.
Wild it is. I have quite a collection so I want to be able to use that. Also this is a huge moneygrab from Blizz...not sure if I wanna keep playing/supporting this in the future...

Yes, and that does NOT happen in standard-mode where the card pool is EVEN MORE limited... sure. And naturally spoken like a true face hunter, simply because you only said the cards that are good against them; Where is Mad Scientist that is also played by nearly every Facehunter/mage?
I guess both. Wild will get more confusing over time but I like playing with all my collection. It will be fun watching the new meta develop on both sides.
Which will be your main ladder? Standard or Wild?
Whatever climbs the best. I'll probably stick to standard. It will have been tested and formatted best by the designers.

Standard.
The whole reason for the split is that Wild will become too complicated to effectively balance, or cause expansions to go mostly ignored (ex TGT).

Greetings traveler.
Why isn't there an option for both? This isn't Highlander.
I will ladder both evenly.
