Ok, I hear you (Ben Brode likely won't, but try Twitter or Reddit). I have questions:
Why do we need more "Elusive" minions?
What about the "Elusive" mechanic appeals to you?
What function would new "Elusive" minions serve?
What's wrong with the ones we currently have?
Well to put it simply.
1. To build and "Elusive" based deck. Hexproof for all you MTG fans out there.
2. Whereas they can be AoE'd they are the perfect answer to hard removal. Which seems to be everywhere nowadays.
3. See 1.
4. Nothing at all. I love the ones we have.
Ok, an interesting idea. Follow up question: What class would have an "Elusive" Exclusive (I had to) deck, and why would it be any good? "Elusive" minions are basically foregoing better stats and/or abilities for immunity to spells which will now just be used for face damage. It doesn't seem like a deck built around them would be very good, although it would be... a gimmick that would exist, I guess.
It would be good to see more of the mechanic, I agree, but it's not interesting or powerful enough to base a deck around it. An additional minion every so often would be nice, though. Or a spell that gave the effect.

I agree.... I'd much rather see new innovation keywords rather than re-hashing old ones that aren't even as good, and I do believe Blizzard thinks that way as well, this is why we haven't seen an Enrage minion since Hearthstone was first created.

Well, Warbot. But other than that, yeah, no new Enrage minions. Which is kind of surprising, but also not really. There are a lot of 'When this minion is damaged, X' effects though, which is similar. As you said, Blizzard's philosophy seems to be innovation rather than reiteration. Although I wouldn't mind seeing a set where they just introduce a bunch of old mechanics into the game on new cards - some more Spare Parts, Enrage, "Elusive", Stealth, Discover, Inspire, etc.
Well Shadows of Sense. I can't really make a deck to fully answer your question at this point in time. However I'll do my best.
My Idea would be to drop as many Elusive minions along the curve as is possible and lord willing if they aren't destroyed via trading you could buff them up with cards like Power of the Wild to take board control.

You can't buff 'elusive' cards. They aren't targetable by spells.
You also can't run a Tempo deck with Elusive cards since, by design, they have lower stats than their regular counterparts. Thus they won't win the trade war. Also since they are weaker they won't work as Threats. The entire point to a Tempo deck is that every card on curve is dangerous and threatening. Thus the second your opponent can't neutralize one threat you snowball very quickly with too many threats and/or a powerful Tempo move that locks the board.
So simply having more elusive cards won't work. You need to think of WHAT cards will be needed to turn the deck into something powerful and unfair.

There's also the question of
Power of the Wild doesn't target, so it can buff them just fine. Same with cards like Savage Roar and Bloodlust.
PoW buffs them just fine, why all the hate on this idea, every expansion has 80-90% shit cards,i.e. ice rager, make some of them elusive or enranged, avoiding hard removals seems really fun,a nice fuck you in the face of turtle warriors and klepto priest,i would really like to see this.

The 1st step towards a better game is firing Mike Donais! We had enough of his "skillful" balances!
There are plenty of ways to buff Faerie Dragons, and all the rest. Minions can target them (Abusive Sergeant, for example.) AoE buffs also get them. Glaivezooka, as well. Smarter people than me can probably think of others.

UGG. sorry. I mistook it for Mark of the Wild. MEH!. Yeah, PotW will work.

Because power level costs means you can't take an ice rager and give it additional abilities. Yes, that includes if you up its rarity. It would have to sacrifice for it.
Perfect example is Nullifier. It's a Taz'dingo with 1 less attack to gain Elusive status. It even got to have a mech race attached to it. And the2 attack makes it worthless. The Faerie dragon actually has good stats but not even dragon decks use him since he doesn't 'do' anything and isn't something a normal minion can't handle.
And that's sort of the point. "Stack minions, then buff' isn't a winning strategy, even on 'Elusive' cards. Aggro will ignore them or silence them, Control warriors still have their weapons and AOE, Control priest will have a hard time but Dragon priest won't. If Priest is your target you can just go handlock anyway.
That's not to say Don'T Do Elusive. Just taht it's going to take more than just dumping a bunch of Elusive minions and calling it a day. They need synergy with something to create a dangerous threat, and probably fit in with an archetype fo ran effective win condition.
And when you do have one, wouldn't a pack of threats that you can't remove be as annoying and 'simple' as Secret Paladin? Do we need another "Drop hypersticky minions on board and win." deck?
We need more more than just three universal "Elusive" Minions. Please.
("Elusive" is an unofficial term used to refer to minions that cannot be targeted by spells or Hero Powers.)

However there's always cards like Lightbomb Flamestrike Brawl Twisting Nether Bouncing Blade to rain on your parade. Just to name a few.

Maybe a buff spell or battlecry that is pretty much "give a minion +2 Health and Elusive" would be another way of introducing more of this mechanic?
